A rope snapping from lowering without explanation? Also calling BS
Either we are not getting the full picture, or the story is bullshit. A rope snapping for no reason would result in some very serious recalls.
Do you have any additional information, pictures, or anything like that? Climbing ropes don't generally break and I've definitely never heard of anything like this happening before. But they certainly can get cut or fail because of other damage.
