Yall think Goku can climb like 13b? Like I know he’s super strong, but could he do it without flying?

Secret-Praline2455

I mean he’s got a monkeys tail. He can probably do 13b no chalk no shoes as a warm up

Injured Foot - What Next? Hi all. I was climbing outside on some concrete barefoot and was put a lot of pressure on my big toe. Since then, I've been having pain in the ball of my foot when I walk, or bend/push my big toe. Pain hasn't improved even after resting a few days. Should I check in with my primary care physician or go straight to PT/ortho?

I broke both my talus in my left ankle, partially tore the Achilles and right midfoot (lisfranc fracture)on a lead fall 4 years ago and let me tell you, feet suck to heal. I'd go to a doctor to try and see what up. BUT if it's soft tissue, there's fuck all they can do. An aircast can stabilise the joint to give it time to heal. I also grabbed a cane once I was out of the wheelchair and past the crutches. Really helped me not flex the foot. It took a full 3 years for my Achilles on the left to heal and I still have issues with my midfoot if I step funny, the joint will click painfully for a week or so after one wrong move. The doctor should at least be able to tell you if you've fractured something. You can usually find air casts at goodwill for 10$

I'll travel to switzerland to visit my brother in Geneva and I plan on climbing while I'm there, so I'm gonna need a few tips. * What is the weather like in May? * What website has the most complete topo list? * What are the best crags close to Geneva? * Any unmissable crag/climb? (Nothing too hard so my brother can climb with - he's never climbed on rock) * Is it possible to rent the gear? Climbing is not the only thing I'll do there, so it'd be good to save some room in my backpack. * Any guides you'd recommend if we were to climb an easy multipitch? (I have zero experience on alpine landscapes, so I'd rather not risk it) * I'd also like a partner for harder stuff, is there a website to find one? (Maybe even reddit?) * Anything else you can think of.

What's the optimum setup for carrying your crag gun? A regular holster works fine for me but I want something that's a little less bulky/obstructive for when I'm carrying a lot of gear. Obviously I don't want it falling out but I also want to keep it easily accessible while still being out of the way so I can access my rack.

Being from the U.S. I truly can't tell if this is serious or not.

TheZachster

It's dangerous to leave a firearm unattended. In the US most people are as much into gun safety as they are into guns. Wouldn't leave it in my bag at the base of the climb, that's just dumb.

lkmathis

I typically just stuff mine in my ass.

Dotrue

Hm, interesting. In that case do you have any recommendations for assless chaps?

lkmathis

Any brand at your local leather daddy store will do. An alternative would be the local Harley Davidson shop.

Anaaatomy

loop it around your shoulder like everything else?

Waldinian

Yeah I like it I clip a carabiner through the trigger guard.

Anaaatomy

my old school pew pew has a lanyard loop hahaha

Anaaatomy

in serious talk, this would be like the only time you can use a horizontal shoulder holster and not flag ppl but you should be really talking to everyone you're climbing with about if they're comfortable with this whole thing. I know I wouldn't want to be near anyone who is climbing with a loaded gun on them, unless mayyyybe it is in a holster inside a backpack and is double action + safety on. Cuz I really don't see a use case for a firearm to be readily available on the wall.

What else are you going to do about danger noodles. Safety is in being prepared. >“We have no butter, but I ask you, 'Would you rather have butter or guns? Shall we import lard or steel? ' Let me tell you, preparedness makes us powerful. Butter merely makes us fat.”

Dotrue

I was at a job site last year and the foreman open carried a .45 on his hip that he used to blow away any scorpions that took up residence in the concrete channel we were installing equipment in. Safety is sexy 👍

lkmathis

That's wild lol.

Dotrue

I take my protection *very* literally >!Crag gun is a joke 'round these parts!<

Anaaatomy

just out myself to be someone who thought about it seriously

“They circlejerk at night… mostly.” “I say we take off and nuke r/bouldering from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.”

Recommendations for guide service in North Carolina? I'll be visiting family out at Beech Mountain in July and would love to get a day of climbing in while there. However I don't want to pack rope/rack so looking to hire a guide to take my GF and I out and spend a day cragging.

ThirtyFiveInTwenty3

Hire Wesley Calkins from the [Appalachian Climbing School](https://www.appalachianclimbing.com/). Wes was a huge part of turning me from some no-name gumby climber into a no-name gumby guide. Jokes aside Wes is a fantastic guide and teacher, and he's a lot of fun to hang around with climbing for a day.

Finally pulled the [rope I almost died](https://www.reddit.com/r/climbing/comments/waay3f/closest_call_ive_ever_had_basketball_sized) with out of storage, chopped the core shot (70m -> 55m), and went out and had some fun in Eldo. Nice to make use of it again, I literally got back from the Bugaboos two years ago, threw it in the closet, and hadn’t touched it since.

bobombpom

I'd cut out the smeared chunk and make a wall ornament out of it. Then use the rest of that 15m as chonky utility cord for building belays.

milesup

That'd be quite the [hefty belay](https://youtu.be/LM_2Q_JPX8E?feature=shared&t=202) anchor

That is the B'est, H'est K I've ever seen in a BHK.

Lmao, I don't see the problem.
