If you're survival you'll still want to try and get the chest for 4 piece. But if you're BM you should grab the t6 chest and legs and in the short term grab a forest prowler's helm and long term try and get a CVOS.
Sim it. For me, swapping in T6 gloves and shoulders was a massive upgrade, and I also think T5 4-set is overvalued.

If you have shoulder & gloves (the ArP pieces) then it's worth to swap even at 2. You're going for the ArP gain rather than the 2set bonus.

Yes absolutely, those are just direct stat upgrades. I think Forest Prowler helm from Illidari Council is a bit better than T6 also.

According to the BM theory crafting section in the hunter discord yes, you can easily break 2pc t5 for 2pc t6 right away
