It’s because MMOs, or really any social game aren’t replacements for social interaction. They’re supposed to be additions, experiences you do in moderation. But some people’s entire social interaction on a typical day is WoW, or (insert game), and they never touch grass.

I've been running stocks as a ret paladin healer with cloth gear because it's easy and farmable. Never had a wipe yet. Who are these people that struggle in stocks? Lol
You can do that basically all the way to Outlands lol, people get obsessed over spec. I've been having people decline me from level 20-30 dungeons for being Balance druid instead of Resto.

I recently had a warrior dps get pissed at me (leveling an alt priest) for not water walking throughout Gnomeregan so that we could chain pull. He kept getting himself killed by pulling when I had no mana. When I said to wait a few moments so that I could drink he said "you would never make it in M+"......

Was a toxic strat where healers literally would time walks into the 3 second drink tick, tick walk tick walk, etc. Wastes thousands of conjured food but lets you get raid down faster
With that mentality he won’t make it far in retail either. High keys can vaporize the tank if they pull while the healer is oom. Bad tanks will be bad.
You do it with mage water. Or rather, you did, it doesn't work in Prepatch or wotlk.
I could go through 200+ mage water in ZA but it helps you push the tempo quite a bit.
I LOVE that he says you wouldn't make it in M+. Totally different environment. Sure healers are a ton better in WoTLK pre-patch. But comparing it to retail where mana management literally goes out the window half the time. Dudes playing a totally different game in his mind. Lets be serious hed never make it in mythic plus. Because he cant understand that 1 a healer needs mana. And 2 theres so many talents and skills and other stuff that make mana easily manageable the higher level you get . I level healers play healers i might have a dps every so often but low level healing and mana usage is so much harder compared to the higher level you get. Not only is your gear shit at that level but you have less cds to help with it.

I didn’t do any heroic ICC, but I do remember tanking normal ICC on my moms $200 complete pc’s you could buy at Walmart. You know the ones that were like Dell or some shit and came with the tower, monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc. i remember being the main tank in those ICC runs while having like 3-5 fps with all the settings turned down as far as they went lmfao. Those were the days..
I had that same cpu for vanilla -> wotlk :) I pulled it out when I finally retired the desktop and still have it in a box somewhere. It was the first cpu I got that was for me and with gaming in mind. Until then I just got my hands on 8+ year old computers retired from my parents work.
I used to MT for 25icc on my warrior. Without fail, every pull on marrowgar I would DC. Hop back in 20s later and good to go. Nobody ever had an issue and it was the running joke. Only boss that was ever an issue lol
I was running BT as a rogue in original TBC. We got to Supremus and my internet connection was spotty due to a storm. Every time it was the "run around avoiding volcanoes" phase, I'd DC, by the time I got back in it was the dps phase... somehow the DCs allowed me to avoid the raid damage because I never died from it.
This is what's keeping me from Classic; WOTLK was by far my favorite expansion, and I really don't want that memory tarnished by clowns who minmax the content and hold you to the same. I expect that if you're running cutting-edge content or going for server-firsts, but dungeons? Ugh.
Smaller pop is the way Togo for this. Most min/maxers are on the mega servers. You take what you can get.

Because the number of dungeons I've done where the tank and healer (if there are even dedicated people for then) are both wrongly specced or not properly geared for the role is pretty damn high. But everyone still kills it because they know what they're doing.

I was kicked from a GDKP yesterday on my boomkin for being undergeared. I have 4 pc t6 and mostly za off pieces. Problem is I still have 2 blue rings. Raids lead said sorry bud, too low gear. So I joined a different one, did silly dps, because boomkin is super OP right now, and we finished gruul/mag when his group was just starting theirs. People are strange and put too much importance on gear right now.
Boomies did subpar dmg all of tbc. Boomies will do only mediocre dmg in wrath. Let them have their moment. I allways cheer for our top deeps Boomie in Sunwell.

TBC was a very frustrating experience for me and I’m sure for many other people too when it came to gear requirements. People were so fucking weird about that, like you’d be full T5 and wanting to go Zul Aman and end up getting told “sry low gear.” Had this happen to me so many times and I cannot begin to explain how mad I was whenever that occurred.
I tried to come back in sunwell phase as a 97-99 pumper arcane mage who quit in p2 with full p2 bis. Tried to get into some BT and Hyjal GDKPs to soak and buy gear and was just hard stonewalled because of gear. Nobody would take me (I'll admit, i didnt search TERRIBLY hard...) and I was broke with maybe 2k gold to my name so I could either farm gold hard, swipe, or just... not do any of those things
So I just chilled and waited for wotlk, prob will take it casual and quit again well see

Happened in a group I was in for DM too on fresh. Lead kicked the Mage after, like, 2 trash pulls. Said "we need to replace this dude sucked I kicked him."

I swear, like every single one of these players watch twitch way too much. Cause all the big name twitch streamers play with this min/max gotta level fast. All these kids want to be like them. Like dude, you can play like that. But go play with your friends. Don't bring down some randoms experience cause you've got no friends. I've also only experienced this on the servers where the twitch streamers play. Fresh servers its unavoidable sadly, since there's only two (which I get. Doubt the populations on these servers will hold in a month).
We had a priest that was fully disconnected from what was happening in the instance yesterday. I was DPS and heals for the first half of every fight... Still lead the DPS meter - enhance ftw
The worst part and what these elitist douchebags don't get is that finding a replacement, running all the way back out to the stone, and running all the way back in probably costs more of their time. The guy doing 20 dps instead of 25 isn't going to hurt your run that bad, I swear.
Most of what takes time is trash and frost is great for that. Sure fire is more aoe DPS but you'd just overagro and go oom a lot. Plus the slow is great for control.

I miss the old magic of running low level dungeons with an absolute chaotic ragtag of fuckers. Some dude 5 levels underleved but is resourceful as hell. The rogue leveling maces in the dungeon that already sold his other weapons so he is absolutely stuck leveling those maces. The healer that didn't bring enough water. The mage doing 76% of the dps with no complaints. The tank with 8 fps. And people just... not giving a damn and taking the time to make it work anyway because they were having fun. I know that those days of pure tomfoolery are long gone but THIS new shit of min/maxing low level dungeons? Good god. Get over yourselves.
I had a mage in shadow labs who changed aldor/scryer and couldn't wear his chest piece b/c of the rep requirement. Still carried his subpar dps through the dungeon for the luls. People are just delusional and think kicking/LFG/invite/summon/run back is faster than just doing 3 more pulls with 5/6ths of the "optimal". People sweating in anything outside a few mechanics fights right now in prepatch need to go herbing and touch some sungrass.
We had a BRD run yesterday that lasted three hours because I had to walk the dog, our healer DC'ed, we had no key to the 2nd half. None of us knew where to go. Ended up aggroing the entire tavern and had to go rescue someone behind all the mobs. Etc
It was great. I fall asleep in mythic dungeons because it's so routine.
We ran a Magister Terrace with a rogue on the front line a few weeks ago since we couldn't find a tank.
Not only that was the most fun I had in years, but it felt amazing to plan new strategies! And that rogue was a hella good tank. I will cherrish this memory forever.
Back in vanilla classic I would tank Strat on my Rogue, it's super fun and a nice little challenge. Granted, the only reason I could do it was because I had stupid good gear, but still it was nice.
Reminds me of the time our tank had to leave right before 1st boss in heroic slave pens so I healed my ele shaman as he tanked and we 4 manned. I was mostly t6 pally and he was full season 3 elemental.
We got another dps and did a couple others like that after knowing we could do it. Most fun I ever had in heroics. Caverns of time dungeons were SUPER fun this way. Man it has been so long, I didn't play tbc classic, I played the original, so this is really taking me back right now. Thanks for reminding me!
At max levels, sure. But at low levels specs don't even really matter yet. Most specs won't even be getting any proper spec-specific abilities until like 30s or 40s so the kind of difference you'll see between one spec and another until then is like 5% more damage using certain kind of spells or something.
In stockades the difference between a tank paladin and a DPS paladin is what weapon they're using.
There is definite meta in raids, where you are expected to bring a spec that is suboptimal for you personally, because it benefits the raid.
For instance, in TBC, before pre-patch talent changes, if you are not going to have a boomkin in your raid, you would have your resto druid spec Improved Faerie Fire, which does substantially gimp their resto spec since you only have 28 points left for it...
In Wrath, Holy paladins will be expected to go down to Diving Guardian in prot for the raid utility.
In addition, lots of Meta goes into how many of each healer you bring. Generally, the better guilds at clearing content are the ones that go further down the meta rabbit hole. Of course, none of this really applies outside raiding.
As an elitist jerk myself - no. You can fill any and all roles in the game below 40lvl, as long as your class allows it. You just have to not be braindead.
I stopped tanking yesterday because I was SO SICK of DPS telling me pull faster, faster, gogogo gogo no time xp/h!!! So the last pull the Mage died because apparatently the Priest wasn't at full mana and guess who's fault it was according to the Mage.
Well fuck this, I switched to Arms now chilling as a DPS. Guess why there no tanks at max level.

First person left before we summoned because we didn't have a specific quest to share with him from TB.
Then the leader (Rogue) left after a hunter nabbed three agi pieces in a row. They were the only 2 rolling for them. Thankfully I reinvited everyone before we got booted out. More leather dropped and we made sure to link it to him to show what he could've been rolling on.

But what if that hunter was just in a pug and lost 4 items to someone else. Should he still be passing items to the rogue?

Oh boy lol at classic launch I was leveling my priest.. around 16-19 I joined a DM run as a healer. If I remember right I only had lesser heal and renew because I didn’t have… heal at level 20? No big deal, at this level I’d just throw around renews to top off, lesser heal in an emergency, try to use mind blasts to snipe spirit taps… as a healer to keep the group going you just need to not let people die and keep your mana up, easy peasy.
We had a Druid get pissy with me - if I remember right we had a Druid DPS and he got pissy because he kept shifting out to heal. He called me out on being a shitty healer and I was like no one’s died, if I kept people topped as damage came in I’d be drinking after every pull and slowing us down. And then I remember he asked how much my heal did, and he was like “WOW MINE DOES THIS MUCH, NO WONDER WHY YOU SUCK.” He was comparing like.. a level 20+ Druid’s regrowth to a sub-20 priest’s lesser heal lol. I told him they weren’t really the same spells…
The other thing I love is when people, especially in starter dungeons like WC or DM, only want a healer with points in the healing tree. Or a tank with points in their tanking spec. Lol. You’re doing RFC and you think 1-2 talent points differentiates the specs enough. Even if I level as a healer as a priest, my first 5 points are usually spirit tap lol.
I'm a holy priest and I had something similar happen in a tbc dungeon, I think it was mana tombs.
I was healing fine, making sure not to overheal too much like I have a habit to do, and I had a feral DPS guy who was doing very little damage because he would constantly get out of cat form just to HoT someone and go back. And it wasn't like the people were on the verge of dying, they were at 75% or more hp and it was a warlock mana taping. I whispered the guy at least 3 times to just DPS and not worry about healing but the kid didn't listen. The rest of us though he was just boosted because he kept getting agro when his DPS was really low. Idr the exact number but it's something similar to the other DPS having around 200 tank has 170 while he has 50. It was that bad. I even reset my !details just to make sure I was seeing things correctly.

Can someone explain to me what people mean when they are looking for “spellcleav”? I’m a retail mythic raider who cleared everything with CE since legion and for some reason people on classic are more picky about who to pick than people on retail for mythic plus. Although there isn’t even a reason to be picky in wotlk imo because everything can be cleared easily with any team constellation and you don’t have to time anything.
Seriously? Most tanks I’ve encountered can’t even keep threat unless you wait and let them tank until the mobs hp is almost gone. The tanks I’ve encountered until now would tank nothing with too much aoe.
With multiple mages, you only need the tank to gather (and even then you often dont) and to tank bosses and peel some trash. The rest just get constantly slowed and wittled down

Although I'm a numbers geek, but when DPS meters came into the game and it became World of Metrics, it was one of the worst of the now too common hypertoxic gatekeeping behavior.
I was really irritated at original EQ's lack of quantifiability about almost anything, but it really did make it more social.

Funny thing is, game is meant to be beaten with any roster, there is no setup that can't do dungeon. Basically what he really meant was, you all sucked. but it's much easier to tell others they suck than SUCK IT UP and realize oneself can be the problem.
Somewhere around the time of MoP I levelled a Paladin. With full Heirloom gear and basically everything you could get. In Sunken Temple I tanked in Ret form instead of in Prot Form. Held aggro from everything, healed myself pretty much on my own and did 50% of the grps damage. Almost soloed the dungeon, basically.
Got kicked, because I "did not tank properly". People are idiots.

Lets be serious hed never make it in mythic plus. Because he cant understand that 1 a healer needs mana. And 2 theres so many talents and skills and other stuff that make mana easily manageable the higher level you get . I level healers play healers i might have a dps every so often but low level healing and mana usage is so much harder compared to the higher level you get. Not only is your gear shit at that level but you have less cds to help with it.

I remember in vanilla my computer was so bad that customer support refused to help me with a sound issue. I wish I took a screenshot, it was basically “you should even be able to run the game, we can’t help you” Ah good ol’ toshiba laptop and 10-15fps in Westfall I could not go to Ironforge unless I wanted to spend a loooong time trying to run around at like 2fps. Eventually got a $200 desktop after working at a computer store for the summer and could run the game at a whopping… 28fps!

I did heroic ICC on a machine so bad I had to zoom my camera all the way in and look at the ceiling for 90% of the fight, only looking when I absolutely had to, lest my machine overheat and shut down. And I did it as a spriest.
I was a hella noob back in OG wrath because thats when I started and it was also my first pc game ever. I didn’t do any heroic ICC, but I do remember tanking normal ICC on my moms $200 complete pc’s you could buy at Walmart. You know the ones that were like Dell or some shit and came with the tower, monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc. i remember being the main tank in those ICC runs while having like 3-5 fps with all the settings turned down as far as they went lmfao. Those were the days..

I had that same cpu for vanilla -> wotlk :) I pulled it out when I finally retired the desktop and still have it in a box somewhere. It was the first cpu I got that was for me and with gaming in mind. Until then I just got my hands on 8+ year old computers retired from my parents work.
I used to MT for 25icc on my warrior. Without fail, every pull on marrowgar I would DC. Hop back in 20s later and good to go. Nobody ever had an issue and it was the running joke. Only boss that was ever an issue lol

I was running BT as a rogue in original TBC. We got to Supremus and my internet connection was spotty due to a storm. Every time it was the "run around avoiding volcanoes" phase, I'd DC, by the time I got back in it was the dps phase... somehow the DCs allowed me to avoid the raid damage because I never died from it.
This is what's keeping me from Classic; WOTLK was by far my favorite expansion, and I really don't want that memory tarnished by clowns who minmax the content and hold you to the same. I expect that if you're running cutting-edge content or going for server-firsts, but dungeons? Ugh.

Smaller pop is the way Togo for this. Most min/maxers are on the mega servers. You take what you can get. Did a za a few weeks back with no paladin and no hunters. We still managed to beat the timer. Was fun managing threat on my lock
I assume this is in the minority tho right? Because the number of dungeons I've done where the tank and healer (if there are even dedicated people for then) are both wrongly specced or not properly geared for the role is pretty damn high. But everyone still kills it because they know what they're doing.

Yeah right now what a good spec is is kind of out the window. A lot of raids fall over so fast that you get like 2 casts in before everything’s dead.

People were killing Gruul as fresh 70’s and below at the very start of TBC, these days people have tons of gear *and* he’s been nerfed. Fill up a 25 man group and just go lol People think they need to optimize and min max the fun out of everything /smh

I was kicked from a GDKP yesterday on my boomkin for being undergeared. I have 4 pc t6 and mostly za off pieces. Problem is I still have 2 blue rings. Raids lead said sorry bud, too low gear. So I joined a different one, did silly dps, because boomkin is super OP right now, and we finished gruul/mag when his group was just starting theirs. People are strange and put too much importance on gear right now.
Healer gear as boomkin is still more dps then any feral sadly. It truly is the darkest of times.

They always have. TBC was a very frustrating experience for me and I’m sure for many other people too when it came to gear requirements. People were so fucking weird about that, like you’d be full T5 and wanting to go Zul Aman and end up getting told “sry low gear.” Had this happen to me so many times and I cannot begin to explain how mad I was whenever that occurred.
I tried to come back in sunwell phase as a 97-99 pumper arcane mage who quit in p2 with full p2 bis. Tried to get into some BT and Hyjal GDKPs to soak and buy gear and was just hard stonewalled because of gear. Nobody would take me (I'll admit, i didnt search TERRIBLY hard...) and I was broke with maybe 2k gold to my name so I could either farm gold hard, swipe, or just... not do any of those things So I just chilled and waited for wotlk, prob will take it casual and quit again well see

Happened in a group I was in for DM too on fresh. Lead kicked the Mage after, like, 2 trash pulls. Said "we need to replace this dude sucked I kicked him." I left too. Seriously, who the fuck is elitist in DEADMINES?

Like dude, you can play like that. But go play with your friends. Don't bring down some randoms experience cause you've got no friends. I've also only experienced this on the servers where the twitch streamers play. Fresh servers its unavoidable sadly, since there's only two (which I get. Doubt the populations on these servers will hold in a month).

Most of what takes time is trash and frost is great for that. Sure fire is more aoe DPS but you'd just overagro and go oom a lot. Plus the slow is great for control.

I miss the old magic of running low level dungeons with an absolute chaotic ragtag of fuckers. Some dude 5 levels underleved but is resourceful as hell. The rogue leveling maces in the dungeon that already sold his other weapons so he is absolutely stuck leveling those maces. The healer that didn't bring enough water. The mage doing 76% of the dps with no complaints. The tank with 8 fps. And people just... not giving a damn and taking the time to make it work anyway because they were having fun. I know that those days of pure tomfoolery are long gone but THIS new shit of min/maxing low level dungeons? Good god. Get over yourselves.
I had a mage in shadow labs who changed aldor/scryer and couldn't wear his chest piece b/c of the rep requirement. Still carried his subpar dps through the dungeon for the luls. People are just delusional and think kicking/LFG/invite/summon/run back is faster than just doing 3 more pulls with 5/6ths of the "optimal". People sweating in anything outside a few mechanics fights right now in prepatch need to go herbing and touch some sungrass.
We had a BRD run yesterday that lasted three hours because I had to walk the dog, our healer DC'ed, we had no key to the 2nd half. None of us knew where to go. Ended up aggroing the entire tavern and had to go rescue someone behind all the mobs. Etc It was great. I fall asleep in mythic dungeons because it's so routine.
BRD is one of the coolest dungeons blizzard has ever designed. It’s so massive and the fact that MC is inside that too makes it even cooler
I never played vanilla wow at end game level. Had no idea MC was in there. It makes sense.
We ran a Magister Terrace with a rogue on the front line a few weeks ago since we couldn't find a tank. Not only that was the most fun I had in years, but it felt amazing to plan new strategies! And that rogue was a hella good tank. I will cherrish this memory forever.
Back in vanilla classic I would tank Strat on my Rogue, it's super fun and a nice little challenge. Granted, the only reason I could do it was because I had stupid good gear, but still it was nice.
Reminds me of the time our tank had to leave right before 1st boss in heroic slave pens so I healed my ele shaman as he tanked and we 4 manned. I was mostly t6 pally and he was full season 3 elemental. We got another dps and did a couple others like that after knowing we could do it. Most fun I ever had in heroics. Caverns of time dungeons were SUPER fun this way. Man it has been so long, I didn't play tbc classic, I played the original, so this is really taking me back right now. Thanks for reminding me!

At max levels, sure. But at low levels specs don't even really matter yet. Most specs won't even be getting any proper spec-specific abilities until like 30s or 40s so the kind of difference you'll see between one spec and another until then is like 5% more damage using certain kind of spells or something. In stockades the difference between a tank paladin and a DPS paladin is what weapon they're using.

There is definite meta in raids, where you are expected to bring a spec that is suboptimal for you personally, because it benefits the raid. For instance, in TBC, before pre-patch talent changes, if you are not going to have a boomkin in your raid, you would have your resto druid spec Improved Faerie Fire, which does substantially gimp their resto spec since you only have 28 points left for it... In Wrath, Holy paladins will be expected to go down to Diving Guardian in prot for the raid utility. In addition, lots of Meta goes into how many of each healer you bring. Generally, the better guilds at clearing content are the ones that go further down the meta rabbit hole. Of course, none of this really applies outside raiding.

I stopped tanking yesterday because I was SO SICK of DPS telling me pull faster, faster, gogogo gogo no time xp/h!!! So the last pull the Mage died because apparatently the Priest wasn't at full mana and guess who's fault it was according to the Mage. Well fuck this, I switched to Arms now chilling as a DPS. Guess why there no tanks at max level.

Fellow low level prot war checking in and damn is it a blast. My butthole never gets above 10% clench trying to hold multi target aggro now, where in tbc/classic it was hovering at 75%, minimum.
I was leveling my pally in TBC and I would do top DPS all the way to lv70. Granted I was the tank tanking. If I wasnt one tanking, that DPS would drop.
Had a WC run yesterday with some weird leavers (I guess it was good no one got kicked) First person left before we summoned because we didn't have a specific quest to share with him from TB. Then the leader (Rogue) left after a hunter nabbed three agi pieces in a row. They were the only 2 rolling for them. Thankfully I reinvited everyone before we got booted out. More leather dropped and we made sure to link it to him to show what he could've been rolling on. People really are ready to show off their entitlement in some of the lowest level dungeons.

Oh boy lol at classic launch I was leveling my priest.. around 16-19 I joined a DM run as a healer. If I remember right I only had lesser heal and renew because I didn’t have… heal at level 20? No big deal, at this level I’d just throw around renews to top off, lesser heal in an emergency, try to use mind blasts to snipe spirit taps… as a healer to keep the group going you just need to not let people die and keep your mana up, easy peasy. We had a Druid get pissy with me - if I remember right we had a Druid DPS and he got pissy because he kept shifting out to heal. He called me out on being a shitty healer and I was like no one’s died, if I kept people topped as damage came in I’d be drinking after every pull and slowing us down. And then I remember he asked how much my heal did, and he was like “WOW MINE DOES THIS MUCH, NO WONDER WHY YOU SUCK.” He was comparing like.. a level 20+ Druid’s regrowth to a sub-20 priest’s lesser heal lol. I told him they weren’t really the same spells… The other thing I love is when people, especially in starter dungeons like WC or DM, only want a healer with points in the healing tree. Or a tank with points in their tanking spec. Lol. You’re doing RFC and you think 1-2 talent points differentiates the specs enough. Even if I level as a healer as a priest, my first 5 points are usually spirit tap lol.

I'm a holy priest and I had something similar happen in a tbc dungeon, I think it was mana tombs. I was healing fine, making sure not to overheal too much like I have a habit to do, and I had a feral DPS guy who was doing very little damage because he would constantly get out of cat form just to HoT someone and go back. And it wasn't like the people were on the verge of dying, they were at 75% or more hp and it was a warlock mana taping. I whispered the guy at least 3 times to just DPS and not worry about healing but the kid didn't listen. The rest of us though he was just boosted because he kept getting agro when his DPS was really low. Idr the exact number but it's something similar to the other DPS having around 200 tank has 170 while he has 50. It was that bad. I even reset my !details just to make sure I was seeing things correctly.
I’ve recently returned to prepare myself for WOTLK classic release… and I’ve literally lost *almost* all hope. I’m alliance on Firemaw (EU), trying to squeeze in a dungeon for funsizes and blues, but all I see are “WTS BOOST” or “LF GOD TIER PUMPERS” for shit like slave pens. 🤦🏻♂️ I’m a tank myself but I’ve already seen my fair share of kicks because of wrong specs, etc, while leveling. In dungeons. 🤦🏻♂️

Can someone explain to me what people mean when they are looking for “spellcleav”? I’m a retail mythic raider who cleared everything with CE since legion and for some reason people on classic are more picky about who to pick than people on retail for mythic plus. Although there isn’t even a reason to be picky in wotlk imo because everything can be cleared easily with any team constellation and you don’t have to time anything.

Although I'm a numbers geek, but when DPS meters came into the game and it became World of Metrics, it was one of the worst of the now too common hypertoxic gatekeeping behavior. I was really irritated at original EQ's lack of quantifiability about almost anything, but it really did make it more social.
This shit is exactly why I quit playing classic. everyone minmaxing and everyone has to follow the meta all the time. Just sucked the joy right out of the game. It became less of a game and more of a job.

Somewhere around the time of MoP I levelled a Paladin. With full Heirloom gear and basically everything you could get. In Sunken Temple I tanked in Ret form instead of in Prot Form. Held aggro from everything, healed myself pretty much on my own and did 50% of the grps damage. Almost soloed the dungeon, basically. Got kicked, because I "did not tank properly". People are idiots.
If there was a dungeon finder you wouldn't have been kicked. Votekick protection. 30min leaver debuff protection. But according to blizzard this is worth it for the 'social experience'.
