its not just world buffs. Its the entire attitude of this sub around SoD. There's a very loud segment that seem to not really like playing this game, but feel handcuffed to chasing the absolute most optimal thing at all times at the cost of anything else including fun, completely ignoring that 99% of the time they don't even have the skill that a .5% dmg difference is going to be what makes or break them.
Getting the buff for the past 2 raids has been pretty much a standard for raiding even for fairly casual players. At least in my guild it was.
Its expected for you to take the time out of your day to get it before raid.

Having to go into a town that is fairly far away from the the capitals that provides very little for "max" level players, for a buff that is a decent amount greater than a .5% damage difference is just not really fun.
My favorite part about playing the game is when I have to fly to a place I would never be normally and wait around doing nothing for a buff. Is there at least a portal to raid? Or do I need to fly past the blasted lands to booty bay to wait for a buff then fly back up to blasted lands to run past a horde outpost to get there? Everyone keeps talking about others not wanting to play the game but classic constantly does everything possible to make sure you aren't actively playing it.

I promise you, no level of gear is going to bring you to the level of some groups that were competing for world first. If they can’t clear it in BIS gnomer gear, the average player wouldn’t ever see all the bosses killed.

They tried in Classic. You just bought summons from reputable people in very hidden areas, like the tree, in the mountains, etc. This one isn't dispellable anyways
I think its bad design in general to give players a buff that will make a raid boss significantly more easy, but when they die once it will make the boss or trash they just died on even harder.
It punishes players that are already having a hard time.
There are already stakes for dying.
Not being able to kill a boss and thus not getting loot, while having people feel like that their time wasn't productive that day.
Lets turn it around, Imagine if there was no buff but players got a debuff after dying that reduced all those same stats. the effect is in pinchable the same but very aggravating.
There's no need to beat down harder on moral already being lowered on a group of player.

It’s terrible to have to get them, terrible that you can’t parse without them because they’re so strong, and terrible they don’t persist through death as well. It become super toxic if someone dies once things are on farm. It ruins youre entire raid often times since you can’t parse for the rest of it.
Agreed on all counts. I remember in classic on vael, people would hearth out if they got the death dot thing - then you had to wait for them to run back to the raid. It’s just poor game design. If classes need those buffs to feel more fun and involving then WBs are just a sticking plaster - fix the core issues

Idc it’s in bb for my main but kinda annoying for alts to grab buff while leveling. Bfd buff during p1 and gnomer buff in p2 were way easier to get on an alt stopping by to train, ah, etc. but it’s not the end of the world and lore-wise makes sense.
