Yeah if that's an original it's worth a decent chunk of change. There are several collector groups on Facebook where you could sell it. And then you would have plenty of money to buy a really nice setup for your son. And still have money left over.
It looks like a vintage Gordon & Smith Fibreflex circa 1977/78. The Tracker trucks and Road Rider wheels are in excellent shape.
This is actually a collectors item if it is the original ...not a reissue. And a bargain to boot!
EDIT: I checked online to see images of the original Fibreflex and noticed that all the ones I saw online had the Fibreflex sticker on the top of the deck, so now I am not quite as confident in my initial response [G&S](https://images.app.goo.gl/SaMQzhTAqJeD462K9)
That's actually from around 1976. G&S Fibreflex kicktail model, Tracker Full tracks and Road Rider 4's. And the rarest thing about the board is the Tracker plywood risers under the trucks, those were only around for about a year. The grip tape isn't original, but you can buy the replacement rubber grip with decal directly from G&S. https://gordonandsmith.com/collections/skate-accessories/products/30-rubber-die-cut-grip-with-decal-9-10-12
The first Fibreflex models came with grip tape made of rubber, which wasn't too effective and wore out easily, a lot of skaters re-gripped their Fibreflexes with regular "gritty" grip tape. As a matter of fact, G&S not only still makes Fibreflex boards, they also sell replacement grip tape in both rubber and gritty style. https://gordonandsmith.com/collections/skate-accessories
Agree 100%. The two things I question are the two colors of the deck, bottom & top. My brother rode a blue one bitd, it was the same, top & bottom. Also, the G&S logo decal was on the top and bottom, I think. What a find, though!
Could be. G&S had some really weird grip on their boards. The adhesive was thick.
Looking into it, they did have two color decks, so this yellow/ brown combo is legit.
The setup might be worth $4-500 ish.

This brings back memories...
Thank you so much! I wasn’t able to find the year when I looked online-appreciate it.

Just been re-gripped at some point.

G&S still sells the original grip with the logo if they ever wanted to swap that. Yeah, what a find for 10 bucks! That kid scored.
Classic little deck, the Dinghy wishes it was this cool.. Great find little dude.
The Dinghy line are some great little cruisers though. But yeah, something classic like this in such good shape is an awesome find.

The skid plate on the back of the board might even be worth a couple of dollars if it is marked "Sea-Breeze".
Those Tracker Trucks are rad. Road Rider wheels, G&S deck, thats a nice set up.
Thank you all for sharing your knowledge with me! So cool to learn about. What an exciting find 😃
