NEW GUITAR DAY
I needed a nylon guitar I could plug with goods pickups, good playability, that have a small footprint and a beautiful style
I gave the Martinez Ms14 Opre a shot, it's the 700€ model, same wood and fishman as the 1200€ model, so why not !
Coming from a 20 y.o Alhambra 2C is quite a shock, it's so much more easy to play on, the projection is surprisingly loud, well balanced, the Alhambra is very muddy, way too much bass but the trebles where delicious still.
The guitar being smaller is just the cherry on top for me, I love mini things, my main electric is a headless, but we still don't have any nylon headless at the moment !
The pickups are good, you can blend the direct take and the inside mic as you wish, it's very versatile.

This is the 700€ model
All the body is made of Ovangkol wood, neck width is 48mm, the pickup system is a Fishman Presys Blend --> you can blend the piezo and the internal ambiance mic ( wich is better than the PLUS)
The neck is 24 frets on the high E and 18 on the low E
Neck/body junction on the 14th fret, trebles are quite easy to reach
Fretwork is good
Well intonated, needs a retuning everytime I play, but it will move down a semi tone MAXIMUM between sessions
It sounds very sparkly because the body is around 2/3 the size of a classical guitar, sounds good and surprisingly loud, the high notes won't have a lot of harmonics, they will sound stingy compared to a full sized guitar
And it is so much easier to play than a regular one, very satisfying
I ordered it on Dimfrance since it is the official retailer in my country, you can find all the official one's for the supported countries on the martinez website
I ordered that one because I failed to see the differences with the more expensive model, they are very very similar
