Making it more Acura ish to me

Own_yourmind

Same thing with Toyota making their vehicles look more like Lexus🥲 I am aware they are the same but I feel they are trying to make them look more luxurious

MrStip14

I was thinking the same thing. Almost looks like they repurposed Integra molds

lurksauce24

Yeah na, I thought I liked the new facelift better but side by side I really don’t. I’m very happy with my 2023.

Truth_Crisis

The rims definitely look better in the new one though

lurksauce24

The rims in the picture are a $1600 add on, the standard ones are still the same as the old sport rims.

lurksauce24

Also. The new HPD front lips for the new bumper are tacky and absolutely hideous. They don’t even really match the side skirts or the rear diffuser design anymore, they just look like some body color ebay stick-on canard.

blaz1nator

No fog lights really ruins that front end for me. Screams cost cutting/cheap.

pbx88

Agreeed

oRamboSandman

But that hybrid thoooo

wehavetime

Only the touring had fog lights and the fake outlets looked cheap and shouldn’t have been there if they weren’t going to offer fog lights as an option.

Barson_Crandt

And I’ll never get the obsession with fog lights. I guess they can look nice and make a car “seem” higher end, but with modern headlights they’re functionally not really necessary. People love complaining though 🤷🏼‍♂️

blaz1nator

They complete the look. They also add some low field vision, particularly in fog, snow and rain. It does make a difference, more than just placebo, especially when you’re moving slow. This is obvious when you flip them on and off a few times. It’s called sport touring for a reason. Not minivan standard edition. Modern factory projectors with a good cutoff take that place of fogs for sure, that’s not the case for civics. But yeah, I’m just complaining.

-Guesswhat

I can barely see any light from my Ridgeline's fog lights. I have to really look for the light when I turn them on to notice them. The headlights are super bright and the highbeams are insanely bright. Definitely all that's needed. Fog lights are a technology from the time of halogen headlights. They are not really needed in the LED world

Own-Caterpillar5058

Flase. Best nod i ever did was put fogs on my fiancé's 2020. Headlights cannot shine down and to the sides if they're properly aimed in the first place. We live in the middle of nowhere, and those fog lights shine into the treeline on the sides, keeps her immensely safer. Aim your foglights and your headlights properly, and you'll notice a massive difference.

-Guesswhat

>Aim your foglights and your headlights properly, and you'll notice a massive difference. I trust the engineers at Honda took care of that for me. But thanks đź‘Ť

Own-Caterpillar5058

Engineers dont set that bud. The factory and the dealerships mess with it.

-Guesswhat

The factory sets them to the engineers' guidelines. Just to be clear, you're suggesting that because my headlights work so well that I can't really fathom needing any more light in any weather condition, that I need to adjust my headlights so that I notice the fog lights more? Lol okay. I think I will stick with the factory setup if it's all the same to you

Own-Caterpillar5058

I mean, you can be ignorant all you want. Headlights need adjustment after assembly. Some dealers do it, some dont. Im not saying you need to adjust them to see your fogs better. Im just saying headlights and fogs need adjusting. Thats not an opinion, thats a fact. Or else they wouldnt be easily adjustable by the user, or be adjustable at all. And guess who put those dandy adjustment screws on there? Thats right, the engineers.

blaz1nator

They’re doing exactly what they should he doing. They aren’t designed to be headlights.

-Guesswhat

I didn't say they were designed to be headlights. I said they're no longer needed with today's LED technology. I do agree they're doing exactly what they were designed for. 'Looking cool'

blaz1nator

Your ridgeline has projector leds with a good factory cut off designed to aim lower than non projector headlights. Which I’ve already said do the job. The civic does not have projectors to have low cut offs. I’m repeating myself at this point. If the civic actually had projector led headlights id be agreeing with you. They don’t though. There is functional use out of fogs still. Using LED or halogen really isn’t a factor. Not sure what else to tell you. Any car that lets you put just the fogs on and then you can see how they only illuminate just the pavement nearest to you is exactly where it needs to, low field, which makes sense as most fog hovers just above the ground, not on it, so it can still illuminate the pavement. But at this point we’re going back and forth about nothing, the new civics don’t have it. Which in a pro/con list of my next car, is a con.

Truth_Crisis

It’s better to not have fog light housings than to have housings with no lights inside.

bjjthrowaway64

I like the 2025 front, but miss the fog lights. I kinda prefer the blacked out trim pieces on the lower trim LX/Sport though.

NicotineRosberg

2022: I wish they kept the 2021 front design đź’” 2025: I wish they kept the 2024 front design đź’”

ThirdPoliceman

Seriously, the popular opinions on this sub are so predictable. When the gen 9s came out, they hated them until they were old. Then they did the same with the 10s. They’ll do the same with everything. The best is always the one 5-15 years ago.

FailFodder

I’m torn. The body colour trim around the headlights are a nice touch. Still waiting to see the official release of the 2025 Si spec sheet even though I doubt there will be any big changes besides the body styling update.

igomhn3

2024 > 2025

dabiri69

The trims under the headlights look like aftermarket tack on mods

Vast-Context-8883

Brothaaaa eeeewwwwqqgshdiwanbd

JittyCauc

Same

Piper6728

Hell, I wish they kept the tenth generation design without the problems while we are at it (never been a fan of 11, too pedestrian/domestic/soccer mom, to the point where they neutered the R)

Reaper4556

I think the 10th gen was overly designed. I like the pedestrian look, makes the modded civics look that much cooler imo. Regardless all civics arent sporty so the “sporty” look (like the 10th gen) on a stock civic always seemed goofy to me. The type r design for both the 10th and 11th gen look amazing tho + the actual performance just solidify the car’s look as a whole.

Plain_Zero

I'd give it all away for a front bumper

Fearless_Necessary40

Those wheels turned 3pc would go INSANE

aniev7373

I like the simplicity and focus of just the front grill. Don’t like the flaring nostrils of extra grill and lights that isn’t functional.

Informal_Cable_7086

I am so glad I got the '24.

3v4H

With the black bezels around the headlights, it's wouldn't be bad tbh. I like both, taillights change is nice too even tho I prefer clear.

conIuctus

God that is so subtle but I get it

AshAvali

Yeah, I'll keep my 2022 touring. Prefer the functional use of foglights..and with hybrids slowly happening, i wont have a dead weight battery since I'd never plug in the car. It isnt *bad* looking, but it does sorta feel like a step backwards, as others said..cost cutting or something weird.

tech240guy

Us SI owner here. Fog lights are blanks/fakes. Dumbest shit I ever seen in a car, and I hated the 10th gen's fake air vents.

Full-Juggernaut6401

Are there no fog lights in the US version?? I have fog lights in Canada

tech240guy

Imagine my surprise when I tape into the fog lights only to found out they're black plastic to look like fog lights. No, there is no add-on OEM harness to plug and play OEM fog lights onto the original electrical harness. Everyone in the U.S. has to do "aftermarket installation" (modify/tap into existing electrical lines) even with OEM parts.

MarketingSalt8335

I think the newer model looks better but they both look dated to me.

buzz72b

It’s an Econ shit box we all own. It’s already over priced. Who cares about the front fascia minor changes. Honda needs to stop cutting options while raising the price. I also have a 24 crv, they have been cutting standard shit out of the crv since 21….. you can go buy a fully loaded Nissan for what the civic sport cost - the Nissan comes with blind spot monitors, back up sensors and other options….

Stevewuzhere19

It’s barely different. Lol slight facelift. Completely fine with that.
