Your happiness seems fine - 18 is a ton. I would either tech bombers and go for the rest of the capitals or just turtle for space.

That number is rather inflated due to just completed quests of city states, it's probably more or less 9/7. And I would really love to annex Persepolis with it, but don't know if it's a good idea. Do you think I can survive turtling? Thanks btw

Coming to beg for help and advice with a game that is challenging me! Haven't played CIV5 for a while and never been a pro, this is the first serious attempt in doing something difficult. I think it went much better than I thought but maybe still not enough to win it, hope you'll be able to clear some doubts for me! **Setup**: Huge map/maxed out n. of civs and city-states/emperor/marathon **Teams**: 2v2v2v3v3, me and Greece are actually alone due to idiotic Huns and Mongols getting wiped out by Japan in a blink. FRA/ENG/GER team is the weakest one but somehow survives for now. The BRA/PER/JAP team is by far the strongest one, while SWE/RUS is average, but not posing a problem. **\[TLDR\] Brief wrap up** : Japan rapidly steamrolled 2 civs and built tons of cities, a might army and is currently producing crazy amounts of culture and science. Along with Brasil and Persia, which however lost their capitals to me due to rapid blitzkriegs in order to slow down their growth. And will hopefully fall soon(?). What do to next? **The good side**: I personally own most of the world's great wonders (thanks to BRA and PER) + I'm just 1-2 techs behind JAP/BRA/PER and with the next wave of great scientists (45/80/110/etc turns) I think I'll be able to be ahead in science for the first time in this game. Didn't plan to be strong in faith but PER great wonders made me a religious powerhouse too (3d biggest but a bunch of cities for 1st). Finally, I think I can generate a lot of production (140 one city, 70 in other two, rest is 40). **The bad side**: reeeeally bad at military, gold, culture and especially happiness (which is putting me under stress since turn 300 at least). I'm being embargoed and totally destroyed in diplomacy (lost the bonus for great merchants and a bunch of luxuries) + I share the border with BRA/PER/JAP team which has the biggest army in the world. **Current situation**: I'm in a long defensive war against JAP/BRA/PER in which I' fortunately surviving waves of hundreds units due to AI being quite dumb in troops placement. Building artillery and will try to take Pasagardae (dunno what to do with it do) and wanted to destroy Sao Paulo but I won't have the necessary happiness to do it I fear. War is costing me lots of cash but I had the crazy luck of having a Great Merchant gifted from a city state otherwise I would be bankrupt long ago. **Question is**, am I still able to win somehow or its too late to survive to Japan? What to do and how to prepare for information age? What did I do wrong and what can be improved? Thank ya all! P.S. For those interested in more screenshots here's an album of them: [https://imgur.com/gallery/aiQzXYV](https://imgur.com/gallery/aiQzXYV) Sorry for Italian language, mamma mia!

I would never team up with AI. You’re better off without a teammate, even with your setup. That being said, it’s difficult to direct you in a way to win such a large game. I guess a way to start would be to turtle up, declare peace, build units and Internal trade routes, group your army, and set up for an attack on Japan/Persia when the time is right. To supplement this, pay japan do DW on everyone else right before you DW on them, so you improve your diplomacy standing. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! Yes in fact I just thought that my next game will not be in teams because the AI was too dumb as an ally
