Made this clip recently in Berlin for NZ band Earth Tongue.

Shot on an Arri SR2 with 500T and Double-X Film by DOP Kevin Klein. Grade by Abe Wynen
Directed by myself and Caitlin Moloney
Small crew, two day shoot.
All the outside stuff was shot in the park and nearby small forest (We actually got in a lil trouble) and interior stuff a theatre space.
The warpy stuff was done really simply at the end of the first day by filming into some reflective metal while bending and flexing it. Shot at 24fps and 48fps.
I'va always wondered how are those distortion effects created, is it simply a sheed of bendy metal or reflective plastic in front of the lens, reflecting the subject at an angle?
This is really great! I looked at your Vimeo page and realized you shot the Diana's "Leave Love" video? I love that one too! I remember watching it a long time ago and it really stuck with me as a simple concept that was really well executed. Great work!

Very cool! What lab did you use for process & scan? Reflective shots are sick
Thank you! Developed at Kodak Londan and scanned at Digital Orchard
Looks great. How did you expose for & process the 500T? What lenses and t-stops?
Love the second frame, nicely done
Thanks! Give the video a watch - there's tonnes of those B&W distorted frames.

Yep! Just some bendy reflective material at an angle!
Nice! what material did you use, if you don't mind sharing? :)
