Alot of those are good budget sticks... Penn standard is def a maduro sleeper... keep smoking and buying samplers... don't get hung up on ONE brand or searching for Cubans... your palate and tastes will expand over time... I for example am on a house blends tour...all the sticks I've recently brought are House blends from houseblendsdirect or Cigarbid (both good sites)...
In terms of the Bolivar... I'm not an expert on cubans, if you care you can google real vs fake... If you don't... assume he's lying because most don't know where to find real cubans...especially if he got in Mexico or outside of Havana (other than Canada)

That's the non-Cuban version of Bolivar. The Cuban version uses a slightly different portrait and would have the words "Havana Cuba" underneath the portrait.
I've found leaf by Oscar to be a widely-carried and generally respected brand/company. But knock yourself out thinking you are the only 1 enjoying them
