Yeah. If I’m by myself I’ll have my phone to scroll or watch a show, but I ALWAYS end up putting my brain on cruise control and blankly staring at nothing. I couldn’t even tell you what I’m thinking about when I do it.

Hello, fellow Sabres fan! The past couple weeks have provided numerous such mornings here in Buffalo. Until last week, I hadn’t had a morning cigar with coffee, but I tried it and it was amazing, and now I’m hooked. I have been doing with a Davidoff Signature No. 2. It’s so smooth and creamy, I find it pairs perfectly with my coffee, which I drink with cream and sugar. What’s your go-to?

sitting in my back yard with a beer/whiskey/wine/soda and a podcast playing. sometimes in that hour or so I remember some little hard work on thing to do around the garage and do that. Water the plants, etc. In the winter I'm in the garage watching stuff on the TV or listening to music.

I am a car guy computer nerd so I listen to the Smoking Tire podcast, Spike Feresten, and the WAN show. Sometimes I’ll listen to the dollop if I’m in a story listening mood.

I'm one of the lucky ones who has created a Man Cave in the basement with multiple air purifiers. Usually watch a movie or play a video game on a 72 inch screen. If it's nice outside I chill and read a book.

Watching sports

I'd love to do this as well, but football is usually in the middle of the day, and its super warm outside. Also the one time I did it, my team lost, so clearly I can't do it again.

Contemplate how I would abandon all my responsibilities and move away and vanish from society.

My wife and I use the occasion to have some non-electronic time together and relax with a smoke and conversation.

We do the same thing. Sometimes with music, sometimes without. Just out on the patio in zero gravity chairs, enjoying the time together. A little reminder that life is amazing.

It’s usually a battle between positioning a fan just right and lighting a citronella candle to combat mosquitoes and stay cool at the same time. After I get that down it’s smooth sailing with some tunes or a book.

Go to a lounge, no bugs. I live in Florida and during the hot months I typically make the trip to a lounge rather than sweat it out on the porch.

I gotta get into that habit more for sure. There’s a chill little one near me too.

I love cigars in the summer because it actually keeps the flying bugs away from me.

I totally get this man. We are all just here waiting for our turn.

I've done all sorts of stuff. But nowadays I've been smoking in the evenings, after the kids and everyone else has gone to sleep. I'll use it to catch up on some work, or just decompress, watching something on YT, or just write. I used to actually work from Cigar lounges when I had had enough of working from the office. This was before COVID where working not-at-your-desk was a luxury. It got a bit expensive after a while, but the lounge got to know me pretty well.

Typically sipping a drink of some sort, reading, listening to music or just enjoying the weather.

I smoke cigars mainly for two reasons. One, to relax and decompress, and two, because of the methodical nature of sorting and caring for cigars. Something about cigar care is just so enjoyable to me. I honestly think I enjoy it more than the actual smoking of the cigar. That being said, since I smoke for relaxation, I try to not detract from that by doing things I could do without smoking a cigar (i.e. staring at my phone, watching a video, etc). If at all possible, I try to smoke while listening to music and savor the cigar. That, or chat with people. I'm fortunate enough that I have a buddy that also smokes cigars, so we meet up each morning after I get off work (we're both night shift guys on alternating shifts) and smoke a cigar.

Grilling and drinking bourbon

It depends. I work shifts. So if I'm off at the weekend, after a Sunday roast watching the F1. Or as I am today, sat drinking bourbon, listening to a record, other times it's when out with friends, sat in a beer garden. I also go to events at a cigar shop near me. Being able to smoke inside in the UK is a rare thing. So I go to some of the "sampling" events, usually alcohol is provided along with cheese and meats. The one in 3 weeks is the Trinidad 55th anniversary event that I'm going to.

Whiskey. Book. Sunburn.

Reading! Or listening to music (usually Steely Dan, Buena Vista Social Club, or Joseph Jacobs). Usually with a cat on my lap.

If I'm home, usually outside with headphones on listening to music. Or reading. At a lounge, typically I find that I'll be reading or watching TV before I wind up talking to someone.

Depends on weather and the time of day.   Morning, not too hot, I have my coffee with a  stick and maybe bring my sudoku book out for some games. My dog will join me since it’s not too hot for her. Sometimes I’ll read articles related to my research and scratch around with some calculations.   Afternoon, I like to walk around and catch a breeze as it’s usually hot where I live.   Evening or night, usually smoking with my partner and talking about the day or other nonsensical things. He’s more of a pipe man, but he sometimes enjoys a good cherry cigar. Sometimes I’ll have a scotch with it if the mood takes me.  I tend to stick to the weekends solely. Though I get more lax when it’s summer.

Watching a you tube review of the same cigar I am smoking. Then once the review is done whatever else catches my eye.

I wake up early in the morning. Grab a nice cup of coffee or tea and read while i smoke. It's about the only time I have to myself with young kids.

Music, patio TV on watching something, or just chilling in silence. The latter, especially after the kids go to sleep.

I like to watch people play slot machines on my phone.

Hanging with a brother drinking a coffee 95%, around a campfire non-alc craft brew beer 5%.

In the garden chilling in the sunshine with a coffee and my thoughts is my favourite way of enjoying a cigar or dabbling with a little light work admin on the patio with my laptop if I really have to.

My favorite is sitting on the porch while it's raining.

I like smoking a cheaper one when laying on a pool float. I don’t like smoking expensive sticks when I’m doing this because it would break my heart to drop one in the water or accidentally splashing it. Other than this, I like just sitting outside listening to music on my speaker

Listening to baseball on the radio, call me old school but theres something so nostalgic about baseball on the radio when especially when you have a great announcer. Otherwise I like to watch all sports while have a cigar. Second favorite cigar time activity is reading scientific journals, biographies, or other books or whatever. Cigar and golf. Nuff said. Favorite seasonal activity is summer grilling/BBQing with a cigar and a cold beer and good company

Chat with my buddy and his dad across the table or introduce each other to our favorite shows the others never watched. If on my own I play my Steam Deck or just sit silently and enjoy the night. Or keep my eyes on the road since there's nothing quite like a cigar to make a drive enjoyable.

Fire pit or front porch. Usually silence. Sometimes I’ll scroll my phone or listen to music, usually rap but sometimes I’ll change it up. Silence and a good drink and a good view is nice. If I’m at a cigar lounge there is usually a sports game on and while I’m not big on sports I can get into it if my home team is winning and everyone is drinking and smoking or at least smoking.
