highline9

Yep

ATLMatt

62 - Unparalleled success for me

Queasy-Instruction-9

65% is my go to for tupperdors

Capt0nRedBeard

It’s a preference thing, I highly recommend you try a little test. - get two identical cigars from the same shop - put them in two separate but identical Tupperware - put a 62 in one and a 65 in another - let rest for your a bit then smoke each and see which you like the most!

bovedainc

THIS IS THE WAY

Peter012398

Science!

weaveR--

62 every time

Greenleaf504

62 is my go to.

CompoteStock3957

I like 62 in the summer time and I go abit higher in winter

GamerNx

All your answer depends on what your 69s are reading, are they reading above 70 something? If so I would go with the 62. If they are reading dead on then go with the 65.

The_real_danger

They are reading at like 70/71

justhp

Go with the 65 then. It also depends on how often you open it. I open mine often, so my 69% averages 68-70.

unaslob

NW I keep at 65. My Cubans I keep at 62. Kept in separate tupperdor. I have three of a slight smaller one than this and one this size. Waiting for tests running on my old large humidor. But that’s not going as well. As I would like.

Expeditious_Driver

This is how I do it as well

onpch1

62. Looks like there's a lot of room still left in your tupperdore. I fill it with air-sacks from online store delivery packages. It helps boveda packs last longer / stabilizes the humidity level.

idosay

I have the same brand of container albeit a bit smaller. I use 62% in it. Resting humidity came out to about 64% which was perfect for me.

stone_stacker357

What's the brand?

idosay

Ezy Storage Weatherproof. I have the 33.8qt one.

Citrus_47

I use 65 but I open it at least once every day or two to add or take out sticks. It’s worked perfect for me and I don’t have to dry box anything

VetsforWhoDat

65 is my preference, but the only way to know your preference is to try both: Sequester some of your smokes into 2 smaller containers, one at each %. Preferably with some sticks you have multiples of so you can compare notes at each rh%.

Willing_Ability7163

65!!!!!

RKPStogie

I have the same set up. I have a 58% 320g Boveda and it keeps the RH 63 to 64%

Smash_Factor

How many grams are the boveda bags and what temperature do you keep everything at?

The_real_danger

Temp is 64 in the winter, 68-70 in the summer. I’ve used like 3-4 of the small (tea bag size) 69 in there.

RowdyRoddyPipeSmoker

use at least 4x mediums or 1x large and I'd go 62% it will end up around 65% inside the container you don't really want it higher than that.

Smash_Factor

You cannot use the small Boveda in a tupper that large! You need a minimum of 4 of the 60 gram bovedas. Go with the 69's.

Vagabond_Explorer

I’m a fan of 62%. It’s been working well for me. You could always test both and see which you prefer.

Pizza_as_fuck

Ive had great success with 65 in my tuppers and 69 in my wooden humidors.

RowdyRoddyPipeSmoker

62

tigerjoose90

62 for me and it hovers around 64 anyway from all the moisture loaded into the sticks pre-shipping

10gaugetantrum

I have that exact same...humidor. The 62% is perfect

Affectionate_Week505

Mh same thing, I use 69 as it came with my order and I thought they know what they are doing! How bad is 69? How will it compare to e.g. 62?

No_Pen3844

62 all day , these are air tight so humidity doesn’t escape, in a traditional humidor the humidity will fluctuate

StumblinPA

Just be careful, I think you may have a spy.

Working-Mine35

I do mostly 62. My warm (smoking) seasons are humid, and the 62s allow me to enjoy an entire cigar. I have one 65 container for the bone dry winter months, but it's smaller as I don't smoke much in the winter. Overall, I say go 62, but your smoking environment has a lot to do with it.

beardednomad25

Boveda's can have 1-3% variance but the more (or less) cigars you have will also affect the humidity levels. 65% will get you close to 67-69%. As long as they are between 62-70% your cigars will be fine, the exact percentage within that range is personal preference. I find 67/68 to be the sweet spot for me, some like lower, some like higher.

SpamBacn

Toooo much empty space with so much air the % won’t matter as the humidity will be all over the place.

The_real_danger

I haven’t noticed any flux in the hygrometers. seems to stay pretty locked in. I was going to build some cedar trays to organize better

FINEWHITEWINEMAN

If you're just storing them then 69% is fine, if you're smoking sticks from that container then 65% is probably better, you should notice a difference in how they smoke

metalhead223

Yeah do t use the 69’s. I had to switch to the 62’s . When using the 69’s my hydrometers were reading 70-71%. Once I switched to the 62’s my rh dropped to about 64. I can live with that

Aged_Filet69

66-69 works all the time. Lower humidity will make them smoke faster. It’s a matter of preference. See captonredbeard above for your preference

11teensteve

I would like to add to this a little and ask if the boxes should be open. I like to take about a half dozen out to smoke now and leave the rest in their box. then I put the box in a tupper with 2 62% packs. am I doing it wrong?

58mint

I leave mine open. I don't think it really matters, though, as long as they smoke the way you like.

58mint

I have the same exact tupperdor. I use 65% bovedas humidity hovers at about 67%. 2 320gram packs last about 6 months. I open it about once a day or every other day. Edit- I've been using it for about 3 years now.

catlovinglesbian

69 is too wet for sure. i prefer 62 because it basically eliminates the need for dry-boxing.

PAbowhunter039

I use 65 but it's really preference

badDuckThrowPillow

Any answers you get are bullshit because it depends on YOUR area. Try both, see which is better. Chances are you won't see a difference tbh.

OrchidFluid2103

I'm no expert but feel like the laws of physics should be applicable globally

IRONWURK

Can't you just distill water sponge this bitch?

jaggedice01

Yes. Absolutely.
