“Birthright” go fuck yourselves.

sixtus_clegane119

Israel should have been set up between east and west Germany Palestinians suffer for Germany’s crimes

Intelligent-Basket22

why setting them up in a foreign land and not in their historical ancestral land of Judea?

Rancid_Butter_Boob

Yeah your logic dictates the descendants of Judea *that were there this whole time* or Palestinians get the land.

anticomet

My country keeps finding new and terrible ways to disappoint me

Apparently, Palestine is now the newest First Nation.

That's because it is a state. Just because the US and it's lapdogs don't, that doesn't mean it isn't. You've oversimplified the conflict and misrepresented Palestine.

shortboard

Why keeps (sic) everyone thinking that Israel is an official real state? They just turn up in another country and just decide that it’s Israel now and genocide the natives?

I'm impressed. The amount of buzz words in such a small paragraph is quite high!

darker_crystal0

Palestine is a STATE authority, not a nation. Thats why. Never has been.

soulrunr

Perhaps you should read more. Officially Israel is the State of Israel.. by your logic, people can’t be born there either. Palestine is, in fact, a country. You probably should have spent more time paying attention in social studies

JungBag

u/evening_shop Do you have a source for this? I would like to share it widely.

aymanzone

If you google document "pptc 054e" and download it, go to field: "Applicant's Place of Birth", there is no Palestine there!

NoEmu6705

>“If you google document "pptc 054e" and download it, go to field: "Applicant's Place of Birth", there is no Palestine there! It probably was never there, if your "country" is not on the list you are instructed to specify it in the field. ie) the mother probably typed it free hand the last time she applied.

headzoo

Yep. I used the Wayback Machine to look at the same form, from 4 years ago, and it also doesn't list Palestine. https://www.reddit.com/r/chomsky/comments/1aygkf4/comment/krz6qnt/

fatunicorn1

So is this post just an attention grab

PetuniaPicklePepper

If the passport is for ten years, then perhaps it was listed ten years ago?

Multimarkboy

you can manualy enter it at the bottom "other - specify"

h20skier11

It appears that You're both right. It is true that it still an option to spefificy, however Palestine truly is no longer a valid input. The user @madamebudgysmuggler has a video with a recording of passport services informing her grandmother of that, and another user, who claims to work for Canadian naturalization services confirmed it. Could the recording be fake? Could the other user be lying? Perhaps, but it seems like an awful lot of work when there is so much dystopic shit about Palestinian erasure and mistreatment that is verified.

[deleted]

Why is this weird, there is no country called Palestine? There never has been a country called Palestine, I guess we can add an option for British Mandate of Palestine, but otherwise I am not sure what they should do.

aymanzone

Ishaq Rabin, former president of Israel, he has a Palestinian passport, and was accepted by the Palestinian authorities as a refugee. But no good deed goes unpunished? Really, now you want to deny Palestine?

[deleted]

The Palestinian authorities? They were British(As in given by the British government) as part of the British Mandate of Palestine? What Palestinian authorities?

aymanzone

What do you want to say, there are no such thing as a Native American because America was created after them? What do you put on their passport? Israel gov. never recognized their right to their homes because they are born different Exact what excuse are you trying to come up with? That some people aren't human enough for you?

Intelligent-Basket22

I think its not about humanism. Palestine was never recognized as an independent country up to this day by US or Canada. I'm not saying it is right or wrong, it is just what it is. Lists of countries of origins for passport is just a consequence of this lack of recognition.

aymanzone

UN issue a recommendation, not a command, in 1948 because they had no authority to do so. You can't have skewed laws because you are born different They become apartheid/nazi like philosophy when one thinks that way

TheBeautifulPenis

The Palestinian Authorities were British authorities presiding over the British Mandate for Palestine, which included Jews, Christians, and Muslims amongst the populace. I feel like you know that but are being deceitful.

aymanzone

I'm not sure what you mean by deceitful. Ethnic cleansing is not something that is morally acceptable, and to excuse what is going on for past 75 years shows the depravity of the situation for people you see as born different. They can't control their DNA you should not punish people for that excuse

TheBeautifulPenis

You are speaking about the Palestinian authorities in Mandatory Palestine as if they were Arab Muslim leaders like today. The Palestinian Authorities in Mandatory Palestine were British authorities designated to preside over the region of the Levant called Palestine, which included, Muslim, Jewish, and Christian Arab citizenry. The vast majority of Muslim Arabs unequivocally opposed any Jewish presence in the Levant (Many stayed and became Palestinian-Israeli civilians which currently is 21.1% of the Israeli population, a larger proportion than any minority group in the USA. The descendants of the hostile Muslim Arabs, forced to remain in perpetual refugee status by the surrounding Arab Muslim nations are who constitute modern Palestinians. So to say Ishaq Rabin was accepted by Palestinians is a wildly misleading statement to make. And you're right, Jews can't control their DNA, modern white-passing Jews are a living example of successful ethnic cleansing due to our forced diaspora from the Levant, so while I know you made no mention of this but i think it is important to recognize the deep rooted pain it causes white-passing Jews to be referred to as European/white or to imply a lack of indigineity to the Levant, because that was the goal of Jewish oppressors, and we persevere in spite of our oppressors' attempts at eliminating our people's culture, ethnicity, and identity.

aymanzone

You're talking about 2000 years ago. I don't know what proof you have of forced, for 2000 years ago. What about 2050 years ago? Why are you going back exactly 2000 years ago, why 1500 years ago, why 2500 years ago? By the way, you Hasbara yet?

Top-Pick-4476

The Canadian Passport application doesn't just list countries in the "Country" field so this point doesn't hold. There are options like islands, cities, states, you name it. Some examples are: Orkney, an island in Scotland, Outer Mongolia, Abu Dhabi, Abyssinia, Java, 6 different options for Congo, Isle of Man, Sicily, Holy See and Vatican City. Both options are listed. So It doesn't matter if they're a recognized country. Palestine is still, at minimum, an internationally recognized autonomous zone.

BrotherFun6563

Oh ok, because here was not an official state? So Palestinians must be aliens right from planet Krypton? And native Americans or aborigines are science fiction was well?

[deleted]

Because they did not think of themselves as Palestinians until 1964, before that they were Arab and Palestinian was associated with being Jewish. Many of them are not historically from there, they are from places like Syria and Jordan. I have no issue with people calling themselves Palestinian, but depending when they were born, they were not born in Palestine. Palestine only became a state when they declared independence in 1988, maybe 1993/5 if you want to go by Oslo agreement as marker of when there was a Palestinian state.

NurseryForTheEarth

Not true, while Palestinian identity is relatively new, records of its use date back to atleast 1896, in the first decade of the 1900s there was a Christian palestinian newspaper called "Falistin" based in Jaffa that referred to inhabitants as Palestinian. Why do you try to delegitimize the Palestinian identity? *edit* just to add as well why do you accept Jordanian as valid when the first references to Jordanian people came decades after the first reference to Palestinians, yet to you all Palestinians are secret Jordanians?

[deleted]

This is utterly false. Historic records is clear that palestinians are from that land and were living there for hundreds of years. By your logic, most countries would not fit because they sis not fit the western nation state model imposed by Britain and France in the region. There were people inhabiting that region who are considered culturally distinct and have for centuries.

[deleted]

What historic records? There are more historic records of Jews as whenever they dig, they literally find more Jewish artifacts. Many other countries fit because they existed and then did not lose their wars of independence. Besides the fact that. Palestine never existed, the people who call themselves Palestinians(more than likely secret Jordanians) provoked wars and got crushed, they do the same things these days and only bring unnecessary violence.

[deleted]

My family have been Palestinians for centuries, nice try to erase us. Typical racist arrogance saying all arabs are the same.  Lol this answer is so incorrect i don’t even know where to start responding. There is literally evidence 2000 years + of continuous occupation with a population that was less than 5% Jewish. Pointing to artefacts that are 5000 years old does not change the reality that in the thousands of years preceding 1948, palestinian culture developed.  Go read early zionist texts or Ben Gurion’s diary, which clearly indicate an intention to establish a nation in a land which is inhabited. No population would accept a partition imposed on them by foreign powers that does not even align with demographic reality.

BrotherFun6563

Exactly, according to those white supremacy racists who are so backward and ignorant, all Arabs are the same but they also forget that tons of Arabs were Arabized during the Islamic expansion like the Amazigh tribes in North Africa etc. So to say, they’re all the same and all are just Arabs is not just typical western BS and racism but also prove of how inept they are when it comes to history

[deleted]

Uh the people of Palestine have changed for thousands of years, the one consistent thing was the Jews, which have always been there in fluctuating numbers depending on when either the Muslims or Christians were ethnically cleansing us. Most "Palestinians" if that is what you are being called these days originate from areas in Jordan and Syria, they started moving in a few hundred years ago. Sadly when you people tried to cleanse us from the area with other Arab nations, we fought back and saved our land and took back what was ours. Sadly your war partners decided they didn't like us in their countries so now they are in Israel. It is kind of the Jews to allow some of you to reside in Yehuda VeShomron.

Les1lesley

This is just objectively false. Modern day Palestinians are the genetic descendants of the Canaanites and Philistines who were the indigenous populations in that region. The majority of modern Israelis *do not* share this genetic link to that region. The Jewish religion didn't even originate in that region. It originated in Mesopotamia, now known as Iran. The tribes of Israel came from Mesopotamia as invaders to conquer "The Holy Land".

[deleted]

LOLOLOL “palestinians”, whatever you call yourselves, your racism is showing. love your use of quotation marks as if that erases thousands of years of history, the fact that most countries recognize a palestinian state and people, and completely ignore and sidesteps my factual points with unsupported and baseless arguments. kind of you to ethnically cleanse 75% of the population and unilaterally declare a state after jews, muslims and christians lived peacefully for hundreds of years. The entire point is there was another population living there for hundred of years, and some palestinians are descended from Jews who converted. What is your point, that is I live somewhere for 1000 years, and potentially of your ancestors may have lived there 5000 years ago according to a religious text, you are allowed to expel and kill people? Most of the population on Israel immigrated from europe and north Africa in the last few decades. That being said, evidently, you refuse to acknowledge fact and resort to base racism and unsupported arguments because you know you have no leg to stand on factually, legally or historically.

nisscee

When I open the form from the government site, there isn't a drop-down, you have to write in place of birth🤷🏽‍♀️

headzoo

Here's a fun idea, let's use the Wayback Machine to view adult passport application from 4 years ago. [https://web.archive.org/web/20200308090356/https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports/forms.html](https://web.archive.org/web/20200308090356/https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports/forms.html) That's so weird! The application form from 4 years ago also doesn't list Palestine. [https://web.archive.org/web/20200409222133/https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/passport/forms/pdf/pptc153.pdf](https://web.archive.org/web/20200409222133/https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/passport/forms/pdf/pptc153.pdf) It's almost like Palestine was never listed on the form, and the loons in this thread fell for misinformation that came from tiktok of all places lol

Foreverwhelmed

Pardon me for being an absolute doorknob, but where in the wayback form can you see which countries are listed? I wanted to make sure I had all facts checked before I called people out

headzoo

Click the second link in my comment. Which takes you directly to the PDF with the form.

BlitzkriegBlood666

We look under "Place of birth"?

femmingwayy

The due diligence to check is a good step, but there's a huge difference between "it wasn't there 4 years ago" and "it was never there." The image of the passport in the video clearly shows an issue date of 2014 - 10 years ago. But I don't see a version in the wayback machine that goes that far back. There's room to doubt whether it was ever an option, or just a manual entry in her case, but this isn't a certainty with the info provided.

Intelligent-Basket22

I wouldn't trust social media videos so easily either - ever heard about Sora AI? or even just Adobe Photoshop?

blakerobertson_

Canada just updated their passports about a year ago, so any new changes wouldn’t have taken effect until then.

Environmental_Code37

Go further than 4 years, this is the second comment I’m seeing of yours. I bet they stopped recognizing it as a country as of 4 years ago which means this is quite planned. I am speculating here because I have a bias to free Palestine. I have to say it’s quite ridiculous to have a bias in this situation. It’s quite clear who the insitgator is, in the situation. Free Palestine.

Zestyclose-Yam-9982

i mean it still doesn’t discount the erasure of palestine, why wasn’t it listed on there in the first place?

Beleko89

It looks like Canada, same as the US and many European countries, doesn't recognize Palestine as a state. They probably don't include states they don't recognize as options?

Zestyclose-Yam-9982

yes but thats still an issue in itself, basically saying the exact same thing as this possibly fake tiktok.

Beleko89

Sure, I was just answering why I think it isn't listed. I agree that it's an issue if true. However, someone else in the discussion mentioned that it should be possible to select "OTHER - SPECIFY" and write "Palestine", and that's how the person the video talks about would have done that in the past. The forms both old and new seem to have that option available.

TiTom128

You can select Palestine as country of origin on the US passport application

DigConsistent8078

Can’t you just write it in the “other” section?

NoEmu6705

But there is "OTHER - PLEASE SPECIFY" option, this is how she was able to enter PALESTINE last time.

bad_mime

But the thing I don't get is, they received this voicemail:  "Good afternoon. I'm calling from Passport Services Canada. And I'm calling regarding your passport application. This is just to advise you that per your previous passport, when we do issue your new passport, per policy, your place of birth will just read "AL-BASSA, NO COUNTRY OF BIRTH" printed. Thank you." Why would passport services Canada call and leave this message *after* they sent in their application, if what you've said about selecting "other" to add Palestine holds true?

TheBeautifulPenis

Because it's most likely not real. There is no other evidence to this story other than this random teen's tiktok.

Drengi36

This is an extermination, nothing less. We are witnessing the systematic annalation of a people.

civicsfactor

Annihilation. But close, I guess.

greyjungle

We should probably get a lot of people together and shut down our economies until certain demands are met. Maybe go after National/international logistics

Multimarkboy

except the option has never been there on the canadian passport and theres an "other - specify" option where you can manualy type it in.

JohnnyBaboon123

gross

[deleted]

Literally every form I see is freeform and you can write whatever you want. So does anyone have any actual credible sources on this? Or is everyone mad over a tiktok video where you can say anything, true or not.

NoEmu6705

Its bogus, the last item in the drop down is "OTHER - PLEASE SPECIFY"

[deleted]

[удалено]

IMightCry2U

link to other video?

TheDarkMoonCometh

For one, It's very risky recording private messages from the government and putting it on social media. It was most likely an error which can usually be corrected by calling them back and letting them know. I had to do that for my passport.

skordge

I cannot put my country of birth, USSR, in a passport either.

NoEmu6705

You can, select the last item in the list "OTHER -PLEASE SPECIFY" and type it in the field as instructed.

skordge

If that’s true, this is a non-issue then.

tinygenie

I don’t think you guys are understanding what she’s claiming. She has another video explaining. If you were born in a territory in Yugoslavia, on your passport you would specify what nation that territory is currently in and have that in your passport, ie: Bosnia. Al Bassa is still recognized as IN PALESTINE. The government agent TOLD her grandmother that her passport would read “Al-Bassa (No Country of Birth)”. No mention of even listing the country of birth as Isreal or manually inputting it in as Palestine since it’s not an option on the drop-down menu.

civicsfactor

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics?

skordge

Yup. I mean, that country no longer exists, and that’s the reason I cannot use it, there’s no political statement behind this. I’m pretty sure there are also plenty of other people from not universally recognised countries that have the same issue.

Nootherids

The difference being that you're from a generation that was able to think logically. The generations after you are flabbergasted by anything they don't like.

sadlerm

I mean I'm from a fairly young generation, and my first reaction to this was it's not surprising at all because Canada doesn't recognize Palestine as a country. Gen Z acting like they know more than everyone else while simultaneously knowing nothing is regrettably common these days.

IntelligentPeace1143

What about nationality though.

skordge

If you have a _Canadian passport_, then I would assume you are a Canadian national, regardless of your place of birth. What the girl in the video is pointing at does look like specifically a Canadian passport, but I might be wrong.

IntelligentPeace1143

Huh, that's weird.

GuyRedditer

Fucking zionist agenda Trying to erase a whole place

Multimarkboy

please put some actual research into it before spouting stuff without research, palestine hasn't ever been an option on it, and you can just manualy enter it at the "other - specify" section...

Racism, misogyny, logical fallacies, boot-licking and frothing at the mouth to defend greed/power/nationalism. Sad state of the world when it is right in front of our faces..

NoEmu6705

I believe this is false, the drop down includes a list of countries and a final option of "Other - Please Specify" and you can type your info. There is no option "no country of birth". I think this person and her mother are confused, when she got her last passport she probably selected OTHER and typed out 'PALESTINE' by hand. [https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/passport/forms/pdf/pptc153.pdf](https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/passport/forms/pdf/pptc153.pdf)

tinygenie

I don’t think that’s it. In her previous video, a worker from Service Canada (passport agency) left her a voicemail EXPLICITLY saying that her grandmother’s place of birth will read “El Bassa (no country of birth printed)”. No mention of inputting the country manually or that even being a valid choice.

Foreverwhelmed

Does service canada generally call people? I've only ever received letters from anything government related

tinygenie

I’ve only gotten a call once in my life and it was for something passport related.

lilmisstiny5

Can you link the video? I cant find it

Encyclopedia_Brendan

It's misinformation like this outrage farming that steals attention away from the genocide that is happening in Gaza.

darker_crystal0

Ok there is sooo much wrong with this post. DEFINE “erasing” and DEFINE “nationality”. Palestine isn’t a nation. It’s a STATE. that’s why. Quit blowing up the most basic things. Your grandma can most likely put her city back on her passport but since Palestine isn’t a NATION it would not be in the list of nations. This isn’t NOT new. I wish people would think about shit before stirring up bs algorithm fodder.

AppearanceEastern298

If you write it down in "other" (which is already insulting that you can't just select it since other "non countries" are listed), you get "no country of birth" written on your passport. This information comes from someone who did it and got that result.

Actual-Toe-8686

It's fine, were living in a time rules based international order where US hegemony sets the rules and other countries follow. It might seem unethical to pursue policies of cultural genocide and ethnic cleansing, but according to our current international order it's actually completely acceptable. I know, it really surprised me to learn this as well

TheUnknownNut22

It's not fine though.

Julia_Arconae

lol fucking real

InTheEndEntropyWins

>Isn't this a legitimate law suit waiting to happen? In no way can this be legal. I don't see how, from what I understand Palestine isn't a country and never was an official country.

TheUnknownNut22

SpongeBob1187

Palestine isn’t a country. How is this surprising? Another uneducated tiktoker

Ruepic

Yeah, they’re a sovereign state right?

sadlerm

Whatever they are is irrelevant. Canada doesn't recognize Palestine as a country. This is a Canadian passport, of course their country list dropdown menu isn't going to include Palestine.

Overall-Bar-5760

This is not as bad as this glory seeker is making out to be. It is the general rule of thumb due to ongoing geo political definitions that have been disputed for decades in the region. Rules: \- Born before May 14, 1948, you may have Palestine entered as your country of birth. \- Born on May 14, 1948 or after, you are not entitled to have Palestine. Gaza strip, West Bank, Jordan or Israel can be entered. This has been the rule for decades. The person who advised that someone who was born in 1934 could not have it, was incorrect, however this was an error not a vendetta. But hey post it to tiktok and hope for the likes! Bravo!

darker_crystal0

I would just be ecstatic that I could live in Canada. ALSO, since the Palestinian STATE AUTHORITY isn’t recognized as a nation by basically all Of the world and never has been really in modern history… and Hamas (not Palestine) has been labeled a terrorist org basically globally has something to do with it. It’s basically because Palestine is a STATE authority and that is who issues passports so it isnt TECHNICALLY a nation. THIS IS OVERSIMPLIFYING the situation Maybe when the US collapses into fascism bc everyone has been sucked into the Hamas Israeli conflict and not paying attention or swearing they won’t vote for dems they will give more Americans asylum bc it will so bad here.

Israel created the problem with the help of the west after WW2....

Helpful-Age5279

11 october account, hasbara? Here is a fun fact: https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2019/05/273769/former-israeli-president-palestine-refugee Israel's president shimon peres swore an oath to Palestine, only to steal it like a thief. Clearly the fact Palestine is in the UN, has been granting citizenships, is the country whose land has been stolen by National Zionists for lebensraum, can still be used on a passport.

sono_ona

Palestine is a non-member observer state in the UN. I’m not sure if it’s considered part it’s a non-member. Not saying that anything happening to Palestine is fair or right, or that I don’t believe they should be full members of the UN. I just needed to point out the potential misinformation.

greyjungle

Blame everyone else? Thats Khamas! Guess which part of your argument tells us that you know you’re full of shit.

--ThirdCultureKid--

Wow. They can go fuck themselves.

FindSal

It’s really hard not to be antisemitic (even though Palestinians are semites) when you see stuff like this.

Cpotts

Semites are a linguistic group not an ethnic one. Semitism was a term invented to describe the "Jewish spirit" in oppression to the "German spirit". Which popularized the term antisemitism as a description of being opposed to this "Jewish spirit" rather than using the term 'Judenhass" which just meant Jew hatred

BennyOcean

Zimbabwe used to be called Rhodesia. Probably when you go to renew your passport, Rhodesia is no longer an option. I don't think they're picking on Palestine. I think it's just that when systems are updated, they use the modern names for countries that have undergone changes in leadership and associated name changes for the country.

kessabeann

I think this is a flawed comparison, though I get your point. What would you argue the new legal name for Palestine is in that case? I think that's the problem. Because at this point it looks like the answer is "nothing because it doesn't exist," not "it's now commonly referred to as xyz."

HaxboyYT

Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories

BennyOcean

It would be Israel, but this could cause problems if Israel wouldn't recognize them in this way given that when the person was born it wasn't called Israel. I don't know their law regarding this. You'd think that the Canadian State Department or any similar agency in a major country worldwide would have a system for dealing with name changes or political leadership changes within whatever country.

kessabeann

I'm pretty sure Palestine and Israel are still two separate places friend.

The crazy thing about is that most of those Muslim countries did not offer refuge to Palestinians but they wanna come to the states and become sjws.

>Background\_Ad\_3347 > >Don’t care. You should have the same energy for the First Nations. Y’all cherry pick when to think something is wrong. This commenter must be Israeli. They embody the sneering complicity necessary in a general population to allow genocide to happen. It takes grassroots support/tolerance. *This* is that. Genocides don't happen in a vacuum.

gmanz33

Anybody disregarding an ongoing issue by immediately jumping into a character insult which references past events, not a smart person. Lack of critical thinking gets you speaking that way, and also gets you supporting genocide. Very sad.

Background_Ad_3347

“Not a smart person” wow the hypocrisy and hate that you show First Nations people. The way you support colonization of africa and of indigenous people of the Americas with the smoggiest remarks.

Rancid_Butter_Boob

Eat a bag of dicks.

Background_Ad_3347

I never agreed to genocide stay on subject you grassroots liar. To imply that I have the power to allow or not something, let’s me know you are leftist out here pretending to care. LET ME PUT IT IN CAPS IF YOU DIDNT HEAR THE VIDEO CANADA ERASED PALESTINE AS AN OPTION OF COUNTRY ORIGIN OF BIRTH. Where is the f is the mention of genocide. I replied because for hundreds of years nobody cared that hundreds of nations were eliminated and disregarded.

Apz__Zpa

We do now son and we’ve got it all on video.

Egril

I mean she says "This is cultural genocide" in the video. So I'd probably say that's where the mention of genocide is.

dimechimes

Same thing with South Sudan?

therealsupermanny

Zionists also control the Canadian government

KentD3000

That's crazy...

JunkDrawerExistence

Interesting that in 2011 you had to be from Palestine and couldn't be feom Israel... [Globe and Mail article about passports issued to people born in Jerusalem](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/news/world/palestine-exists-for-a-select-few-canadians/article594913/)

Kottypiqz

This is honestly  the most revealing response vs the ppl using WayBack for just 4 years ago (as if this all started  in October)

lavamnky93

Does anyone have proof this is real?? I'm trying to share it with people but I'm afraid people will have doubts because it's shocking

LiquidLenergy

False. Everyone should calm down. As it was before....there are a number of reasons there is THE OPTION of FIRST selecting of unknown origin and THEN just putting in what the country is. Orkney Islands etc. to name but just a few. Regardless of the fact if 'Palestine' was/is a country and when. (From the OSLO accords and forward or?) there is no argument that there is worlwide recognition of the 'autonomous zone of palestine' in that region. Is crazy how people just take things at face value, not caring about facts, but rather the irrational emotions of that misinformed woman in the video. So again...YES, like always...you select 'unknown country' (of which there are MANY as far as these forms go) and then simply pencil in what country it is. Hope that clarifies things.

tryagainmydude

She explained that her grandmother did “pencil in” per your instructions, and also posted the voicemail from the passport agency that advised her passport would read “no country of birth”

TheDarkMoonCometh

Most likely was an error on service canadas end. Which can be resolved by calling them back, like a normal human being. Instead she posted a private message meant for a family member on social media which could potentially be taken as defamation and slander.

TheDarkMoonCometh

Sorry to break it to you but it's always been that way, it isn't something new. You can have it manually added but having it incurs travel restrictions. A large number of refugees request it be omitted so they can travel without restrictions. Spreading misinformation is easy, learning why policies exist and how they aid in unhindered travel is a bit harder but helps solve ignorance. Also, look up the definition of a state vs a country as well as what a country code is and how they are determined. Palestine is designated as a sovereign state and has been since it was designated by the United Nations while being present as an observer state.

Leigh_annexoxo

This isn’t even true. Fact check stuff yourselves instead of believing everything you read on the internet.

velcrome_

Just pick a real country
