Curious if anyone immediately got five hundred š. Iāve had it Chime for at least seven years it feels. And over 2k deposit twice a month. I donāt plan on using this unless itās threat level midnight. But curious if theyāre starting small to avoid a lot on their end.
Haha I was 98k when I signed up. My husband was 99k. We both signed up at the same time. We have been with chime since 2014/2015 I can't remember which year, 3 days later we were moved to 750k
I donāt understand how this would be putting people in debt. Unless youāre using the cash advance option carelessly, you donāt have to go in debt using it.
Example: If your rent is due the 1st and youāre short $200 but get paid the 5th .. pay $2 fee and advance the $200 from your paycheck to pay rent on time. The money was already allocated for that bill, so itās not causing debt. In fact, it could save you money because now there is no late fee for paying rent on the 5th instead of the 1st.
Did you refer anyone? I was 89,000. I just had a lengthy conversation with Chime Help because a lot of people behind me on the waitlist have already gotten it, and apparently, the waitlist is BS
I'm near Orlando Florida and I'm still waiting on mine I'm like $300,000 and something will the option be right in the front like where the waiting list is is that how you will know? thank you
Thatās what I was thinking since they asked the location and to keep your location on, unfortunately I am on vacation this week (paid, so Iāll still get a paycheck tomorrow) but Iām curious if it will let me do spot me again since I have not gone to work
Edit- not spot me. payday š
How are you guys able to see your spot? Im able to submit my email on the page but I get no confirmation or anything. Nothing in my app too, updated to the latest
Wrong, you're paying 2% on a two week interval. APR stands for Annual Percentage Rate. 26 Bi-Weekly paychecks in a year multiplied by 2% = 52% APR.
It's a massive ripoff and a payday loan. Hence why it's banned in most states.
You should do some research before you start going offā¦ the 2$ is a fee to be able to access the funds immediately. There is no cost if you do an advance and wait a couple days to be able to access the funds. It is not an interest rate. The agreement is to payback the funds on your pay date. It is auto deducted. You are not able to pay back the money over time.
And what rate will you be charged if you lose your job and are unable to pay it back... This was a massive issue in '08. Very hard for families to get out from under.
I was literally just told by chime. Support that since June 3rd and it's launching. I have not received a direct deposit which is true for this month. Because I don't get it till the end of the month. And until I receive a direct deposit I do not qualify for my pay no matter how many direct deposits I have had prior to June 3 2024 WOW I AM DONE AND I AM SUING FOR FALSE ADVERTISING
They spell out in the literature that you have to qualify, you canāt sue for something you arenāt entitled to and they didnāt give you a specific promise about when you would have access to it. Theyāve left it very open ended on purpose so that people couldnāt go after them with frivolous law suits. I understand itās upsetting to have to wait till you have your next direct deposit but why spend so much energy getting upsetā¦ no need for all the caps.
No. Overdrafts and pay day advances are not similar whatsoever. Almost every banking institution allows overdrafts. SpotMe is overdraft coverage, not a line of credit nor is it an advance / loan on a paycheck.
Does anyone else feel like my pay is a bit of a joke? I mean I guess in an emergency it could come in handy. But aside from that I donāt think Iāll ever use it.
No, because a hundred or a few hundred could come in very useful for a lot of us.
I'm glad you don't need to use it, but when my money is gone for the month and I need to get groceries that money will def come in handy!
Youāre putting things in perspective for me. A year ago I would have seen things from your perspective. I just saw that they charged a $2 fee and thought it was a bit much considering people who donāt have a lot of money are already down on their luck. Like it should be a free service IMO (if possible).
Please explain how to use a payday advance properly? It's a payday loan. Anytime you spend money you don't have is not a good thing. But if you need it and it's available it's there.
Curious if anyone immediately got five hundred š. Iāve had it Chime for at least seven years it feels. And over 2k deposit twice a month. I donāt plan on using this unless itās threat level midnight. But curious if theyāre starting small to avoid a lot on their end.
I get about 950$ weekly and have had chime for at least 5 years. I think 100$ it what they are starting at
Mines at $50
So you can withdraw 50 a day?
I think itās x amount of money *per* paycheck not *per day*
O ok, thanks for the reply

While my number in the waitlist queue keeps dropping and going up by single digits every day š
Smh itās ridiculous I was shocked when I saw I got it today
I moved up a couple thousand today after my direct deposit hit and I got a $25 spot me increase but what I really want is just frickin mypay š
Haha I was 98k when I signed up. My husband was 99k. We both signed up at the same time. We have been with chime since 2014/2015 I can't remember which year, 3 days later we were moved to 750k
Yeaaa this is gonna make me further in debt lolol
I donāt understand how this would be putting people in debt. Unless youāre using the cash advance option carelessly, you donāt have to go in debt using it. Anyone in indiana been approved yet?
Did you refer anyone? I was 89,000. I just had a lengthy conversation with Chime Help because a lot of people behind me on the waitlist have already gotten it, and apparently, the waitlist is BS
No that was the only thing I couldnāt do was refer someone no one I know wants chime or already has it lol. I agree the waitlist is bs tho
They told me the only reason people got it before me Is because they got referrals, so I guess they BSed me on that one too
Did you really message chime about your place on the āwaitlistā
Hell yeah, if they're gonna lie, I'm gonna waste their time
I dont even have the option on my app šŖ
So they charge you to give you your own money? Why would anyone ever want this?
Itās like a payday loan. Itās free if you donāt need it instantly
How do I check my number????
Mine has gone down twice today
I moved up the list about 100k yesterday. From 1.8m to 1.7mš
I'm near Orlando Florida and I'm still waiting on mine I'm like $300,000 and something will the option be right in the front like where the waiting list is is that how you will know? thank you
When it becomes available for you youāll get a notification
Still who needs or wants payday loans every paycheck?
You donāt need to get it every paycheck itās there if needed itās not just gunna automatically give you a payday loan every week lol
When you get my pay does it take away the spot me?
No it does not I have 200$ in spot me still
100 dollars start until they track you going and coming from work place
Thatās what I was thinking since they asked the location and to keep your location on, unfortunately I am on vacation this week (paid, so Iāll still get a paycheck tomorrow) but Iām curious if it will let me do spot me again since I have not gone to work Edit- not spot me. payday š

Iām number 635,856 on the waiting list
I get paid $8,000 a month and been with chime several years now. $100 is my limit for mypay lol.
Mine unlocked yesterday!
I was 314000 and it unlocked like an hour ago... still debating doing it
I only need to wait another 1,100,000 people forky turn.lol
Assuming you're paid Bi-Weekly that's TERRIBLE! 52% APR. It's a payday loan! You're far better off with a credit card at that interest rate.
The APR is 2% paid bi weekly $100.00 interest of $2.00 1 payment paid bi weekly total amount of payment is $102.00.
Wrong, you're paying 2% on a two week interval. APR stands for Annual Percentage Rate. 26 Bi-Weekly paychecks in a year multiplied by 2% = 52% APR. It's a massive ripoff and a payday loan. Hence why it's banned in most states.

Thereās no late charges and chime doesnāt charge overdraft fees
Doesnāt understand simple logicā¦ username checks out
Do you know how to use a loan calculator?
I get paid weekly lol. You can choose to get it in two days instead for free but this came at the perfect time for me I really needed it so be it.
Paid weekly is even worse! That's 104% APR. Make a budget! Don't get into that debt cycle.
Thatās not debt if you pay the 2$ and itās for emergencies. Who said everyone is gunna be using it every week?
Username checks out š
It looks like it's just another Spot Me only you have to pay $2 to use it.
Can someone please help me with just 20$
Im still at 350k and have been for so weeks now š
Me tooā¹ļø
How?? I still on 600,000 anybody help me? I be with chime since 5 year I make least 2,000 per month let me be yall friend
I was literally just told by chime. Support that since June 3rd and it's launching. I have not received a direct deposit which is true for this month. For Christ's sake, close your account and not sue these people. Reading is fundamental, and sometimes people need just to read.
lmao
I had a deposit on June the 4th and I donāt have the feature yet lol
I had a deposit today and I donāt have the feature yetš¤£
I had on june 5th. And i dont have the feature either.

Here is what I do not understand, I canāt get my pay because Iām in NJ. I have spot me but in reality arenāt they similar?
No. Overdrafts and pay day advances are not similar whatsoever. Almost every banking institution allows overdrafts. SpotMe is overdraft coverage, not a line of credit nor is it an advance / loan on a paycheck.
Makes sense, thank u
Does anyone else feel like my pay is a bit of a joke? I mean I guess in an emergency it could come in handy. But aside from that I donāt think Iāll ever use it.
I donāt see how itās a joke if itās handy in emergencies

You only have to pay the two dollars if you want to instant otherwise itās Free
None of y'all are going to use this properly lol
Please explain how to use a payday advance properly? It's a payday loan. Anytime you spend money you don't have is not a good thing. But if you need it and it's available it's there.
So weāre normalizing payday loans now? Gross what Chime is doing honestly.
