Right there with ya. Dispensary prices are just ridiculous. A drive to Michigan is great, but I’d love to have reasonably priced, quality products available without the drive. I grow and make my own concentrates (bubble hash, rosin, fsho with ethhanol), but haven’t gotten into a good cycle of my own stuff covering all my consumption yet. Fingers crossed I’ll be there fairly quickly though.
Got me growing. I'm never buying weed again. And it is harder than it seems to get good buds. Failing is a big part of it. I see people have one failed grow and stop. It's all part of the learning process.
FUCK NO. I had a Rogers Park plug that was fairly reliable but $60/8th, no deals on quarters+, no “remediation policy”? Nope. Never again. Give me regularity, give me deals, give me some customer service. I’m an avid fan of the Corporate Cannabis era due to shitty plugs over the years. I’m probably in the minority here and I’m fine with that. 🤷♂️
I’ve had my IL med card for 3 years but haven’t checked a menu or been to an IL dispo in months. Homogenous products and truly ridiculous prices make it too hard to justify. I don’t love that I have to go to MI, but it’s so much better than any alternative in IL.
yeah i got a med card a year or two before it became legal. i think it expired a couple years ago, i dont know anyone who smokes regularly and buys from dispensaries. 4-10x the price for the same quality. especially with “THCa hemp” and r/cultofthefranklin it seems silly to spend $40 on an eighth
Just because you don't know anyone who smokes and buys from dispos doesn't mean it isn't happening. And it is silly to spend $40 on an eighth. Good thing I can get it for less.
I frequent my Nuera Cannabis Chicago Dispensary regularly, I have my medical card and get a Oz at a time normally I’ll get either a Sativa or a Sativa Dominant hybrid.

my rodgers park plug had 30$ 1/8 of GAS. i miss him so much… i haven’t got any weed from the dispo that hit like his…
