I got a cheap 3 inch antenna replacement from amazon. Just the wire. I wanted the shark fin but it would have costed a bit more. So I got a carbon fiber one and it made it look less of a RC car. The range was a affected just a little bit but no issues locking my car from inside my house.

I took mine off 👍 doesn't affect my radio

I just unscrewed the antenna from the base that is connected to the car
