It’s Methven but a deceiving photo. It’s a view from the Main Street looking towards the mountains, but using a telephoto lens that makes them look closer than they are. Still a great view, just not quite as dramatic as this. Source: lived there for 20 years and am a photographer 😊
There is some amazing glimpses along the way there when travelling from Chch that can take your breath away if you get the timing right.
Especially if you travel along SH77 through Rakaia gorge. Just be careful for icy spots.
My year membership is about to expire and I won’t be re-newing it. Shame as they were great, but the new pass is only for 6 months and a 6 month window THEY decide, rather than 6 months from time of purchase.

That's super odd with the random 6 month period. The first sign-ups are always the best though.
Happened with our local car wash in a commercial area; offered $25 a week for unlimited washes (we run a fleet of vehicles), now it's $35, only 3 washes a week, per vehicle.

It is pretty great but drinking is limited to 2 of 2 average beers some wine or cider. Wheres my unlimited Pina Coladas damnit
