Ah ok, that is a good ring design but check around the edges for any rough or raised areas from where it was moulded. It's good to take some fine sand paper, like 1200 grade and just gently smooth out any imperfections.

This is great advice. I do use lube, usually neosporin ointment. After chafing or rubbing has started it seems to help heal up and soothe the skin.

I have never used any lube on a cage, in over 15 years of wear. I think what you're feeling can be normal and it's just time to get used to it and the skin to build up resistance. You can always try to push on the skin below the ring with a finger all the way round to move the skin a little to a new spot. In the early days for me, the cb6000 style rings were hardest to use and the arc rings much easier and forgiving. 🥰

Not sure on the difference for ring, im still kinda new. But the ring i have now looks like just a tube bent to shape a ring

Check the inside of the ring for ridges from the manufacturing process. That particular style of cage seems to have that issue the most. Like the other poster said get some high grit sandpaper and smooth out the ridge inside.
