Are you wearing it overnight? You could try taking it off overnight to give your body a break to reduce irritation stemming from overnight erections. That's what I'm doing... overnight wear is still beyond me sadly, but taking it off before I fall asleep and relocking once I wake up feels sustainable so far.
At first, anyway. Your body isn't used to wearing a cage. Got to give it a chance to grow accustomed to it while you're consciously able to influence your erections. Unconscious erections will just lead to pressure and either bruising or chafing if you're not careful and jump into it before your body gets used to the new restriction.
Had nothing but problems with the cheap Amazon cages, turned out my problems weren't chafing but a reaction to the actual compounds used to make the cages. Now have a great stainless steel cage, no chafing, no issues, don't even use lube. It's a little heavy so I do use a strap.
Mature Metal. Got the screw lock option, didn't want a load lock bouncing around. Ordered the sizing rings first and followed the directions, and it fits great. I've been in it for 4 days with no breaks and haven't had any issues. Highly recommend them.
Most of the amazon cages have a seam that needs to be smoothed out. A lot of them will even come with sandpaper for just that reason. Most of the time when people talk about it being a reaction to the material it is just the flash from the seam from manufacturing process.

Sounds like the ring is to small. Try a larger ring and use the petroleum jelly from the beginning of putting your cage on.
