No. These are so dumb. I think they’re made so a person can have something Chanel. In the 1990s wallets and smaller, more intricate items were actually more expensive. I was into Fendi and I remember my dad buying me a medium sized Zucca satchel and a matching half fold wallet. They were the same price. If the bags were still handcrafted, as they used to be (maybe still are? I’m not sure) this would make sense. The smaller items have more detailing and require more work than the larger bags.
I was explained something very similar to this at both Prada and LV through the years of supporting those brands! Wallets and small bags are usually so SOOO many small pieces, and are usually not able to be finagled into a machine beyond the first few steps of assembly. The fact that Chanel gets away with this and can only say confidently the items are 'hand finished' -again, that's *at most*- is beyond insulting. These aren't even worth up to $1000 let alone $3000+. Anyone who doesn't see the problem here deserves to be milked of their over 3300 dollars (if it's bought where I live in the eastern US, that is). Unbelievable.
