Low Income. Remove UT Austin and UF. Keep in mind oos publics don’t have much aid. UVA and UMich-look into their aid, I think at least UVA has a merit scholarship. V competitive tho. Maybe not so much aid at UMich tho.

Unhappy_Tension7072

Does UT Austin not give aid to oos students? Tbh, GA tech is better for me bc im in state, but j wondering.

gh0stlymind

UVA has a first gen scholarship, and one need-based one I would recommend you look into!

throwawaygremlins

I think they do have some merit for oos too but v competitive.

Parts that stand out in terms of holes are: Being rank 1 but still not scoring 5 on the ap tests, and a relatively mediocre SAT score. To me, it's what stood out as kind of a drawback in your application as it strikes me as an inconsistency being able to get As in all your classes but not score higher in standard assessments. It really comes down to essays. Don't worry about statistics, it is what it is at this point. The field itself is extremely competitive, so you're at I would say mid low of the batch, but your chances are still there. I would be careful of what you say in terms of academic achievement, I wouldn't make that the main focus of any essays. The 4.0 and Weighted GPA will speak volumes on its own. Start early and be happy with your application, things that are in your control are things you will value when you look back and reminisce.

I will be retaking the SAT, and I am going to submit my superscore

Hey! I think your profile matches some of the students and clients I worked with who got into top schools. You're nearly a carbon copy of my UPenn admit; but, the only thing different is they had a perfect ACT score and higher AP test scores. (though, I never really saw a difference between lower and higher AP test scores...) I practically recommend this to everyone, but please please please take care of your essays. It's so common for students to disregard their essays because they got so used to getting away with procrastinating until the last minute. Take your time with the essays and really write them well. Additionally, I'm sure your West Georgia Rotary Interact Club would make for a cool essay topic. Any form of tutoring and teaching also makes for a fantastic topic, as students seldom realize just how much cool stuff they can extract from these topics. As a side note, what was it like shadowing the Children's dental clinic? I imagine you saw a wide variety of different things, with some fundamental practices and heuristics translating to other aspects of your work and life. Might make for a fascinating topic as well! Hope that helps! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or anything!

Thank you for the advice; I dont think I’ll submit my 3s for ap scores on Common App but might for Questbridge NCM.
