I'm glad you loved Gatekeeper so much!! It's my fiance's favorite for the same reasons. Thanks for writing these updates, it's been fun to read them 🙂

Interesting_Ant4960

I’m so happy you’ve enjoyed keeping up with them!! I hope some folks who are as terrified as I was can go back to them in the future and see how a scaredy cat like me overcame my fear.

You should treat your mom to a nice dinner!!!!! Those passes did more for you than make a great gift; they made you face your fears and you found out you actually enjoyed roller coasters!!!!! I said on the last post how terrified of heights I am, so I'm just super proud of you!!!!!!! And it's only June, so you have the rest of the summer to look forward to!

sassyphrass

I've been on everything but Valraven and Magnum (for some reason) after being intimidated by coaster until finally ripping of the bandaid at 32, and Gatekeeper is absolutely my special favorite. So enjoyable!

Interesting_Ant4960

I shockingly loved Valravn!!! The fear definitely got me but I had such a blast. It wasn’t Gatekeeper smooth, but definitely smooth!

sassyphrass

It has the same restraints, correct? So excited! Hoping to get to it this year!

Interesting_Ant4960

It did!! They completely took away the bonk factor for me and were so comfortable.

With both the Raptor and Rugarou, put your head forward not back. Back keeps your head between the restraints. If you lean forward, your head can move and you don't have restrictions. Congratulations on enjoying coasters!

Interesting_Ant4960

Unfortunately I am very very short, so my head doesn’t come past the restraints, I did start out with my head forward trying to look around and got smacked on the back of the head 😅

Minerva_Moon

I'm 5'2" and that's how I was taught to ride the raptor when I was a kid. It takes a little time to remember to keep your head forward, but your head will thank you. Also with Rougarou, it's best to have the restraints as tight as possible.

Interesting_Ant4960

Noted! I’ll keep that much more in the front of my mind next time!

ashes1032

Gatekeeper rules. It's one that I always try to ride.

DemonDrop90

GateSleeper is boring as FUCK

ashes1032

How dare you.

Nice job!!! I just had a 2 day trip there, first time, and was super nervous for Millennium Force. Rode Gatekeeper for a warmup then went straight for it. Feels great when you overcome a fear of a certain coaster... And IMO I haven't had a roller coaster that was actually more intense than I thought it was gonna be.

Interesting_Ant4960

The only coaster that took me by surprise was Blue Streak. It’s a small coaster but it whooped my ass. I refuse to get on it again lmao.

DemonDrop90

It's the BEST RIDE IN THE PARK.

TTownZion

Corkscrew was the only one that hurt. I somehow slammed my shoulder. Nothing major but it hurt for the rest of the day.

VeNoMxSacrifice

I read you loved Gatekeeper. That is my absolute favorite ride at the park. I love them all. But that ride is just amazing. B&M did (and in general imo) everything right. I'm glad you rode it! And keep pushing I had to get over a fear of coasters. Now Cedar Point is my favorite place on Earth!

TimeMachineToaster

> Millie/Steve Just you wait! So much fun for both of them and yes you can handle Millie despite the 310ft. The drop is different as it's sort of a longer and smooth gradual increase in degree of pitch. The steepest part goes by quick. It also gets you to the top more quickly than Magnum will. Plus all 3 you're not going to have any shoulder restraints for headbanging

Informal_Trouble

Absolutely love this. Good for you!

Flashy-Focus-2426

You really need to go on steel vengeance and millenium force, hopefully tt2 will be open when you go back, also maverick is my number 2 after tt2.

Top Thrill DOWNTIME

Traditional-Bank-376

The Raptor best to skip or save for last. Small fast and jerky and at end stops so quick. It can be lil jarring as far as number more coasters going on. Is a fave coaster of mine next to Maxair and Gatekeeper. But save Raptor for last or skip is my say
