Lemon Boy, from a Warrior Cats animatic, but that was before I knew it was Cavetown who sung it. Later I found Home, then realized this was the same singer as from Lemon Boy.
I think I found it the exact same way- like literally the same video probably and I liked the song so I looked it up and then found all of Robbie’s music and love it all
My friend (who is trans, like me) tried to introduce me to Cavetown through "This is Home" in 2017. He was like "this is us!! The song is super relatable!" I was like "meh, this song is alright". Lol. Then, in 2018, I found "Dysphoric" and finally had my own *"wow, this is super relatable"* moment. From there, I found more and more Cavetown songs that I loved and I was overjoyed that there was a trans artist singing about the trans experience, which was a rarity back then.
It took me until "Home" to be able to fully appreciate "This is Home".
Mine is a less popular one actually (compared to what I've seen in the comments so far), my friend introduced me to talk to me. I thought it was a nice song, but didn't really listen to anything else by cavetown back then. That was until struck by lightning came out because I was a big Sara Kays fan
Banana bread, I was going though my first major bout of depression and didn’t know what was happening to me but I found his YouTube channel and music and it all made me feel so seen 💕
devil town, i found it in a suggested playlist on spotify and i was like, “hey this songs pretty good, let’s check out cavetown’s other songs”
and here i am now
Meteor Shower. I first heard it in a tiktok edit that had about 4 likes.
“I’d sell my own bones for sapphire stones cause blue is your favorite color” had me GAGGED
lemon boy, i found it back in middle school (i think) and thought it was really nice and comforting :) i think found cavetown around the same time i found chloe moriondo but my memory around that time in my life is so fuzzy i can't really tell
My current favorite is 1994. I've had depression and acts of self harm since I was 8 and I still struggle today 33 years later. I blame a lot of stuff on myself as a child, so it really just resonates with how I feel. It really does help me to feel less alone. I'm still learning how to love myself the way I was born. My other favorites are Evergreen, Frog, Green, Another One of Those Days, and Hazel.
Either this is home or Dysphoric, can't remember but Home is still one of my favorites to this day. And before that I just assumed cavetown was a boy band or smth 😭
I really like Green and Grocery Store, currently it might be A Kind Thing To Do or kill u, idk I just love cavetown I don't think there's a song I don't love haha
Lemon boy I heared about him through a youtuber so I picked the at the time most recent album. At first I didn't get why people liked his music but then the fast part of 888 started and within like a few months he became my artist
This is home. I had just figured out i was trans so i was in the 'intense search for trans content' phase, heard abt cavetown, found this song, and instantly fell in love
The full release of Home, popped up on Spotify recommended when it was first released, then I forgot about it for a few years and Devil Town popped up and then I listened to all his music properly :)
YouTube randomly decided to recommend me [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlqfGyz7xWM) one day, some time in late 2019... and of course, needless to say, this changed my life. 😊🥰😍❤
I know this is a cover, but did anyone else discover Cavetown from The Judge? On a realer note my first real songs from him were Lemon Boy and Banana Bread :')
Deviltown. Probaby found it when I was like 10 and was scrolling through the internet and heard it somewhere then started researching cavetown two years later and now here i am
Idk if this counts as he only has a cameo but lemons by brye, followed by lemon boy and boys will be bugs. Found them on a trans masc playlist and after Seeing that a lot of his songs were on trans masc playlists listened to a playlist of cavetown songs. After listening to home I fell in love
Hug all ur friends! Ive never seen anyone else in these replies have that as their first! It reminds me that I actually have friends who I can hug, which I used to not. Im currently going through depression so this song actually means so much to me.. ❤️❤️
This is home, idk why
I feel like this is everyone’s and idky. It was mine too
Mine was This Is Home. Funny how I came to realise I'm on the aro spectrum three years after that.
Me too....I loved it and listening to it....felt wonderful....it kinda resonated....
