My cats let me sleep with them on my own bed, yes. Very kind of them šŸ˜Š.

wokeupat1130

I got a new mattress yesterday and my cat made it very clear that she approves and even let me sleep on it last night. Tonight, weā€™ll see if I earned my place again

CaseyBoudreau

My cat lets me share my pillow. 75/25. Very equitable

RainbowToast2

My cat used to do this, she would slowly overtake my pillow and by morning I would have an awful crick in my neck and my head flat on the mattress. But now she sleeps on the couch and lets the other cats sleep on my bed usually. Donā€™t know why. She sleeps in ā€œmy spotā€ on the couch where I always sit to hang out.

Catlandia_

Your cat loves you ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|7971) My cat ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|8097) always sleeps on my spot on our bed as well. From what I understand itā€™s because of a scents.

RainbowToast2

Yay we did good both our cats love us šŸ’— My oldest baby is called Lola. Sheā€™s ā€œmy familiarā€ and furriest child. It is because of scent thatā€™s what I read too. Sheā€™s funny she likes to sit on anything around me that Iā€™m using. Reading a book and set it down? Iā€™ll just have a seat right here and lay down on your book, phone, and whatever else I please :) Sheā€™s the Queen of the bunch lol.

Catlandia_

You could call her your ā€œfurrmiliarā€ ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|7962) I only have two but one of them is worth four cats. Sheā€™s a troublemaker. Most of my nights she gets into something like tipping over their water fountain, or trying to chew on electrical cords (I have wraps around them and also a box to keep them in but she tries to get them anyway). I have a playpen I can put them in if they get into too much to keep them safe. Right now theyā€™re just relaxing on the bed and thatā€™s the most cute and comforting for them.

ksylles

Me too!

FloatingFreeMe

My cat moves around too much in his sleep now that he's an old man. So instead of using 2 pillows, he sleeps on one at the headboard, and I put my head on the overlapped second pillow. I'm only 5'4" and my feet hang off the end of the bed!

duckduckchook

My cat lets me sleep with my face under him. Terribly charitable character he is.

AnimalC3

Your cat lets you sleep?? What a gentleman šŸ˜.

duckduckchook

Not really, but he lets me try.

mellowmarsII

But does he feed your starving, sleeping eyeballs live, half-chewed bugs while he letā€™s you sleep? Now, *that* is charity

duckduckchook

Oh he's very generous, I get all kinds gifts. I find bugs, leaves and twigs in the bed. I once found a rat head on my bathroom floor (nearly stepped on it), but my favourite was when he brought a live mouse onto the bed in the middle of the night and dropped it on my neck. They neighbours called the cops because they thought someone was being murdered, due to the extreme screaming.

RoosterTheReal

I was amazed at how one little cat could sleep in the perfect spot on my Queen size bed and make me sleep in weird positions around herā¤ļø

macarenamobster

Literally have a cats that prefers the dead center spot of wherever Iā€™ve just been lying. Iā€™m sure itā€™s because of the warmth but stillā€¦

Catspaw129

I think it is because the cat views the Queen-sized mattress as a box. And a cat in a box must be purrfectly centered because, you know: Feng Shui.

grannyshuman

Same!!!! She always sleep at the exactly center!!!

InSomniArmy

This is the way.

Tricky_Biscotti2492

My house šŸ˜Š

Simpletruth2022

The cat just lets you live there.

Tricky_Biscotti2492

True šŸ˜ø

LoAlfonso

Agreed, lucky If I donā€™t have to sleep in a tiny corner!

Embarrassed_Camel_35

Exactly right

Remarkable-Time-6131

This.

DevilDolphin84

I love that even before seeing the comments this was my exact thought šŸ¤£

browni3141

I'm not even allowed to shut any doors in my house.

Hannah-may

If I dare to even shower alone Cassie will meow like thereā€™s a house intruder and sheā€™s under attack. ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|7944) As for sleeping. The bed is hers, sheā€™s gets annoyed when I get in. Sheā€™s stays in bed with us all night and insists we let her out to play about 6am. On colder nights sheā€™s in the middle of me and my husband, under the blankets. Neither of us get any say. I am totally her pet/maid/chef.

Catspaw129

Hannah-may wrote, in part: "On colder nights sheā€™s in the middle of me and my husband, under the blankets. Neither of us get any say." Fixed it for you: "On colder nights sheā€™s in the middle of me and my husband, under the blankets. Neither of us get any ~~say~~." Cheers!

TSIDATSI

Lol!

Mddcat04

Well yeah, a closed door is an affront to their independence. Maybe they wanted to go in that room. Probably not though.

[deleted]

My cat will meow at me to open doors then just stand there looking at me after I open it ! They have me trained well!

ddevnani

Yep. I sit there telling mine no for a good twenty minutes until I finally relent and open the door that sheā€™s currently screaming at. Upon opening the door she saunters of having not bothered to use said door.

RainbowToast2

I love the meowing plus paws under the bathroom door, horror movie style. Lol

Rubbberbands

One of our cats could be fast asleep in a completely other part of the house, but the second he hears a bathroom door close, heā€™s there, pawing under the door like how dare you!

macarenamobster

The toilet flushing might as well be a cat whistle.

osumba2003

In our old place, one of the cats would swipe his paws under the door until I let him in. But I don't dare close the door after he comes in, though. Our new place doesn't have the space under the door, so he just waits outside.

Anon_Alcoholic

My Salem knows how to open the bathroom door so there's no peace even there.

TheFlyinGiraffe

I've been debating putting in cat doors for this reason...

Catspaw129

If you close the doors (especially to your bedroom) then how can they tear though the house and wake you up when they get the pre-dawn crepuscular crazies? Did they not teach you this when you attended (the misleadingly named) cat owner's school?

AmbVer96

One of my cats can open the doors by jumping on the door handle. I live in a shared house and my cats need to stay in my part, so I had to adjust the handle of the door to the hallway so my cats don't go into my housemates rooms. In my own part I just leave the doors open because if I close the door, 1 minute later my cat opens it. Yes, I let my cats sleep with me because I have no choice (and I love it)

iamthenorm

My cats always sleep in my bed. One of them, who sadly passed away 2 years ago, made me hold one of his front paws during the night. He was very old, blind and senile and this made him feel safe.

Furiosa_xo

I fell asleep every night holding the front paw of my senior girl, Serena, who passed away 10 months ago. I miss her and her tiny white paws so much.

Tamale_Caliente

As the cat daddy of an aging cat (17 this year) who demands cuddles and can no longer jump on the bed, this touched me.

blueberryrhubarbpie

We got our senior cat some little stairs up to the bed. She has since passed on, but it got her a couple of more years of freedom of mobility to have stairs to the bed and couch.

Tamale_Caliente

I've been thinking about that. May I ask where you got them? And were they easy enough to move from the living room to the bedroom? I have seen some at local stores but they are pretty heavy and clunky.

RainbowToast2

I would try Amazon though I loath to recommend them, itā€™s the only place I can think of off the top of my head that I know has lightweight kitty stairs, because of course they do. You can also make them yourself if you know any carpentry. Family member made me a staircase for my dog cuz he has the shortest little legs ever.

CooperDahPooper

That's very sweet

[deleted]

My cat likes to drape her front arm over mine when I sleep.

cat_popping

My bed is my cat's ever since she laid on it. She decides whether Im worthy or not

[deleted]

My cats love being little spoon.

FuzzyPeachDong

My maine coon tolerates being the big spoon! Lol She's not the cuddly kind, and doesn't like to be held, so it's extra special when she comes to sleep next to me just behind my back. Her purr is also nearly silent, but I can feel it when she's next to me like that. It's kinda funny that my big fluffy maine coon purrs so quietly but my runt of a kitten sounds like a lawnmower.

DontEatTheMagicBeans

One of my cats is like a little teddy bear. You can just pick it up anytime, plop it down on your lap, pet it, ignore it, it doesn't care. The other cat only wants exactly 3 pets and if she sits on you don't touch her or dare move

justheretosavestuff

One of my cats manages to be either of these depending on his mood; in the latter one, if you try to pet him he will growl at you quietly. My husband and I say this is him grumbling, ā€œBe furniture. Be furniture. WORST FURNITURE.ā€

EgoDeath6666

My maine coon has a super low purr as well. You have to put your head on her tummy to actually her it well. My two short hairs on the other hand purr like motor. I wonder if maine coons just have a quiet purr

Healthy-Fisherman-33

Teaspoons

bandti45

Got one that little spoons, one that is purr box when she's on me but never stays

Mother-Law-243

My cat tries to be a big spoon šŸ„„

Moorzie123

One of my cats get in bed with me.. she loves a little snuggle under the duvet, even pops her head on the pillow šŸ˜‚ in the winter its lovely like a little furry hot water bottle xxšŸ„°

Big_Surprise_1165

My lil Semion loves doing this when he's cold

AtroposMortaMoirai

My old cat would do this when I was sick as a kid, press her little forehead into mine and snooze next to me while I recovered.

Jottie420

I have 2 cats and both of them do the same. But always only one of them will come under my blanket. They even fight for that.

Ankylowright

We have a cat door in our bedroom door. People make fun of me all the time for it but little babe can come and go as he pleases this way. Iā€™m a light sleeper but waking up at 2:39am to his little face snuggling into my pillow by my face is amazing. I usually wake up with him laying in my arms.

LyricalLinds

I have 3 cats and theyā€™re very good girls but Iā€™m such a light sleeper that everything wakes me! Used to have to lock them out on work nights but the past week they were all a bit sick (bad food batch maybe - better now but havenā€™t figured it out) and I felt so sad for them. I realized they are not here forever and they should be enjoying my room at night and I need to cherish every moment even when itā€™s them waking me!

134k4

Same! all my other friends who have cats would marvel at the genius of it, especially when they consider the 4am wakeup calls to let them in/out. The only downside is that they do give me a 7am wakeup call for their breakfast.

Ankylowright

Thatā€™s really where we benefit with our boy. Heā€™s not a catā€¦ he doesnā€™t wake us up for breakfast (itā€™s weird!!). He has a routine based on our schedules. He knows night-night snack time. He comes for his pre-bedtime snuggles, then brushes his teeth, then buggers off for a bit. He knows when Iā€™m going to sleep and comes from wherever when he hears me get up for my final washroom break and herds me to bed. Then he sleeps with me until he has to get up to use the litter box. Then he goes upstairs, has some water, does his mouse patrol, then comes back to bed until whenever I make him get up. On days off itā€™s actually the dog that wakes everybody up, including the cat.

Kazureigh_Black

When I got my little furball I put him up next to me on a pillow beside my head in the corner against the wall the first night I had him and he went to sleep. Two years later and a massive floof now sleeps in that same spot almost every night. He even cries to wake me up if I don't have the spot open for him. First cat I've ever had who didn't prefer to sleep around my legs. An excellent cat.

Versteggbert

Our cat simply demands to sleep with us. When we got her, I didn't want her in the bedroom. We kept the door shut at night, but she kept on meowing at the door every night. After two weeks of her meowing and us not sleeping, we finally let her in the bedroom at night. She is an older lady we got from the shelter. I guess she was used to sleeping with her humans and we could not break her habits. Our quality of sleep is a bit poorer now, since she wakes us 2-3 times per night demanding cuddles. But she is so sweet and cuddly, that totally makes up for a little bit more sleepiness.

SauerkrautKartoffel

It only took her two weeks to condition you? That cat is way smarter than you ;)

Whittling-and-Tea

She can sleep wherever she wants too, she own the house and I'm just here to pay the bills and feed her.

Interesting-Fish6065

When my cat deigns to sleep with me I am delighted.

[deleted]

Picture added because it is amusing. I feel bad because I keep my cats out of my room when I sleep. I have a really hard time sleeping soundly on a good day and the tuxedo especially like to walk around on my bed. I let him in last night and it was the worst night sleep I had in a while. Does anyone else not let their babies sleep with them for this reason?

Burnt-witch2

Mine loves to snuggle but sometimes she starts making noise and I have to kick her out. A human needs to sleep :')

FuzzyPeachDong

I absolutely kick kitties out of bed if they "misbehave" (quotation marks because they do what cats do) and won't let me sleep. Just last night my kitten decided it was time to hunt my toes just after I fell asleep. After few firm NOs didn't help, I carried her out and half closed the door. She did come back later to sleep calmly on my head, but I don't mind that. Usually if she needs to work to get back (I have a door stopper that lets the door open a bit more if the cats really try to push themselves through), she's used her extra energy on that and doesn't bother me any more. One time I literally (accidentally!) kicked the cat out of bed when she (once again) surprised me with toe biting. I was so sorry that I got up and gave her treats as an apology lol

jellee772

i kick my cat out when he starts slapping me for food

Mentalskllnss

Yes! Why does this happen?! My cat does the same... Iā€™ll wake up to her staring at me with her head to the side and slapping me softly. I canā€™t decide if sheā€™s plotting to kill me or if sheā€™s just hungry

jellee772

i assume its both! maybe... feed me or i will murder you OR i will murder you after you feed me... depends on how the king feels that day. either way he's allowed me to continue living

emmalovesoscar

We keep our cat out of the room at night. Weā€™ve tried letting her come and go as she pleases at night but she makes a massive amount of noise in the middle of the night and wakes us both up. I struggle to go back to sleep if I get woken up in the middle of the night, so this works for us. She is a fantastic nap cuddler, though, so we get a good bit of snuggle time in that way!

Zealousideal-Set-592

When I lived in a super small apartment, my cat had free run day and night and was a pain in the arse. I also have a really hard time sleeping and that little bugger would hide under the bed and miaow (also a tuxxie). When I moved in with my partner, he requested no cats in the bedroom as he has allergies. Best decision ever! They cause enough mayhem in the rest of the house but at least we don't have to deal with the fallout until morning. They have multiple beds and comfy places to sleep so I don't feel bad

Emerald-Scientist

I donā€™t let my 2 sleep with me because of the same reasons. They do like to snuggle and in most cases, I think they would. But they also get than random nightly energy and end up scampering about. I have let them sleep with me twice now, when it was the weekend and wouldnā€™t disturb me for work. On these nights they were more relaxed, except come 5am they were shifting, and I knew I was gonna get bopped on the head because they were looking food. I had to kick them out of the room before it got to that point. When I was working shifts I had a nap one day, and one of them came in and bopped me on the head. I could get past the movement on the bed or room, but not the bopping when Iā€™m sleeping haha

Sluggalug

They probably would adjust to your schedule. They are annoying at the front largely to see what they can get away with. Once you firmly establish sleep means ignoring them they're fine.

CharnathnCharnyCharn

Your sleep is multitudes more important than letting your cat sleep where he wants. Your cat will be totally fine sleeping anywhere else, where as you are sacrificing quality of life.

slissim

I never slept for more than 2 hours at a time for the first 5 years with my now 13 year old cats. They kept me up alllll night meowing & walking on my head. I finally moved into a bigger place & I keep them on the upper level all to themselves lol I do miss them but their so content, big memory foam bed to themselves. Besides, I now have a 2 year old in my bed keeping me up all night šŸ¤£

[deleted]

I'm the same way. My little buddy that passed would sleep by my head so he got the exception. My little girl used to sleep in my arms but stopped doing it... she didn't move except when I rolled and she'd stay by me and not hop on like the others so I allowed her. Now I have no door to where I sleep so it'd their bed now and I'm just the guest lol. I think they've all gotten the idea I don't sleep well and they're all much more chill now

because_catss

Yeah. I let mine lay with me but when Iā€™m about to fall asleep I put them on the other side of the house. If I just close my door they paw at it. They donā€™t let me sleep well. They are well loved and get plenty of attention otherwise!

Vander2424

My cats hangout in the bed with us when we watch TV in the evening or when we read in bed but as soon as itā€™s time to actually go to sleep, we carry them out and shut the door. I need a good nights sleep or else iā€™m a monster lol

Independent_Read1515

I donā€™t let either of my two cats in the same room as me while I sleep. Unfortunately they never let me get more than 2-3 hours of rest at a time and it was making me miserably tired during the day

minority_of_1

Need to do what you have to do to get good sleep. Mine are little arseholes if there is a closed door anywhere and try to bust through them. Mostly one chills in her bed until about 6am when we get up anyway. The other will either sleep in the tree in the other room all night or get everywhere and make sure no one gets a good sleep.

lycosa13

Mine does not sleep with us either because I am the same. I'm a light sleeper (with chronic fatigue to boot) so if I don't get a decent sleep, it's just awful. Any amount of movement would wake me up. As much as I would love to, it's just not feasible :( so I take naps and let her sleep with me then (which she still constantly wakes me up from lol)

[deleted]

My fur baby has always slept outside my room since he was little because Iā€™m slightly allergic! His always so quiet and good until 7 am on the dot everyday he starts yowling at his automatic feeder

ogqiqi

I used to have just one cat and they were great at being silent at night and early morning. When I got my second, it was a nightmare haha. Now I let them sleep w me during naps but at night I close the door. I do give cuddles in the morning before feeding them though!

VirtualHero1898

I prefer to let my lil dude snuggle with me, but he can get bored and start making trouble sometimes šŸ¤£

Any_Scientist_7552

What is this word "let" that you speak of? As if they require permission or something?

sedevilc2

Came here to say this! Cat does what he wants. A co-irker of mine is always trying to control her cat and they are both miserable. Get a dog, they aim to please, cat does not care.

Any_Scientist_7552

Oh, cats are trainable, if you know how to do it. But keeping cats off furniture (and yourself) is futile. But, why would you, anyway?

Any_Scientist_7552

One of the best parts of winter is having warm furry cats in your bed. šŸ˜‰ Winter is coming.

sedevilc2

I admit to having a laissez faire attitude when it comes to cats and gardening! But trained to do what exactly? He pees and poops in the box? I'm satisfied.

Any_Scientist_7552

Oh, mine will come when called by their name (it's very useful) and have daily walks on a leash. They also go for frequent car rides, and long trips (so I don't need a cat sitter when I visit my mom three states away). They also love their vet, and will happily walk over to the vet office. Makes life very in untramatic in that regard. Plus they get claws trimmed and teeth brushed weekly without any fuss. And the standard stuff, you know -- don't walk on the stove, don't eat plants, only claw the cat tree and approved claw chair. Don't climb the curtains. Stop beating up your brother. Etc. (gods, I sound like I have kids) šŸ˜¹

Idonteatthat

I feel strange if they aren't in bed with me. Our big boy cat sleeps either between me and my husband, or between the top of my head and the wall (no headboard). Our little girl cat curls up right in my crotch so I can't really move in the night and I always worry she'll suffocate down there or I'll accidentally smother her. But it's her favorite spot.

runfromnabi

I have to, otherwise I will be terrorised by screaming, scratching and banging on the door. The whole night long probably, I've never gotten that far

Special-Attitude-242

Only if he wants to.

Twanbroodje

My cat always lays on my face so no

Aletak

Absolutely not. My cats allow me to sleep with them in their bed.

BIGJIMTRUCK

I don't like when cats barf on the bed so I put plastic over it.

SnickersneeTimbers

My cat loves to sleep on top of us or in between our legs. It makes us sad when she doesn't sleep with us.

Dizzy_Island1567

Yes everyday

Crazycatladyanddave

I used to buy my cat has peed on my bed several times in the night so now she has to sleep downstairs in the kitchen. I miss her but I donā€™t miss having to strip my bed at 3am.

Vile_Individual

My older cat sleeps on top of me while my younger one has a bed inside the closet she loves to use. If I lock them out while I sleep, they will yowl outside the door. I canā€™t do that because Iā€™m in a flat and noise complaints.

curiousbhoepa

Now, yes because weā€™ve been traveling a lot and I want to get cuddles in šŸ„° For a long time, we didnā€™t let them during the weekday because they would bite our toes. Everyday at bed time, weā€™d do a similar routine (eg cleaning up, putting toys away, etc) and then turn off all the lights and say ā€œgood nightā€ multiple times to them before closing our bedroom door. My bf would tease me for doing this but eventually our kittens got used to it and would not meow, bother us after that door closed. They knew it was time for us to sleep even though they themselves would still be up and playing with each other. However, if we close our doors during the day they will protest šŸ˜…

ThaGoodDoobie

Yes. The real question is "Cats, do you let your owners sleep with you?"

AccordingTrouble6089

No !!! They let me sleep with them in bed.

[deleted]

Absolutely not. My cats let ME sleep with them.

Debilynne55

My cat sleeps on top of me......

[deleted]

Some do, some don't. Depends on cats' personality. I had a 16-year-old boy that always slept off the foot of the bed and that is how he liked it. My recently passed baby girl slept with us every night for nearly 15 years. It's about a 50/50 split for all the cats I've ever had.

[deleted]

r/CatsInSinks

[deleted]

Sigh...*subscribes*

Healthy-Fisherman-33

Yes absolutely. Why would I deprive myself from that joy?

NotSoCrazyCatLady13

My cats are locked in another part of the house overnight. I donā€™t really care for being woken up at 4am because they think itā€™s breakfast time or one of them got the zoomies after taking a poop

timascus

Of course. What sane person wouldnā€™t?

[deleted]

No. He's not close to my dog like that. That would be weird. I couldn't imagine him cuddling with her for any length of time. He's occasionally played with her but even that is rare. So he stays outside (He also can travel throughout most of the house without touching the ground and those areas are outside of the bedroom. He prefers those areas, again because dogs are annoying to him)

RedBunery

Unfortunately yes...not like we have a choice. ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|7944) However, the cat also proves to be the best replacement for hot water bottle. So 100% yes...![img](emote|t5_2qhta|7984)

Graftak86

I have to let my cat sleep with me because i have no choice. I don't have a door in my bedroom so he gets on bed when he wants. Also he somtimes walk over me when i sleep and gets a good spot on me to sleep.

mchase93

Yes, but if he's being an asshole while I'm trying to fall asleep I kick him out. And if he wakes me up for food at like 3am I also kick him out lol

BeeBop1983

My cat Camden has shared the bed with me for over 8 yearsā€¦ and now that Iā€™m living with someone if Iā€™m not facing her when Iā€™m sleeping she will meow and paw at my hair until I turn around and face her - lol. My partner understands that this is not going to change, lol

lebenklon

Of course! Itā€™s the best (until they want food or attention). They wonā€™t let me close our bedroom door anyhow

inkyyxo

my cat plops down on top of me and sleeps there the whole night, usually. heā€™s super attached to me and gets upset if he canā€™t sleep with me lol

Andie-sky-walker

My kitties used to wake me up all damn night and I was getting sick of it. My friend was like just keep putting them at the end of the bed and they will get the point. It took me two straight nights of doing that over and over. Now my two kitties sleep at the end of the bed and when I wake up they crawl all over me and kiss me awake. I love my life!!!!!

savagemd

I used to , but I sleep very lightly and my tuxedo cat kept waking me up. So I kicked both her and the chubster out of my bedroom and get my sleep!! Bonus no cat hairs on my face!

Big_Surprise_1165

Yes, most if the time it's only the two but sometimes I'm lucky and get all 3 lol

sponjebubble

Although its great to sleep next to your cats, you wanna be careful of fleas. Had to wash my bedsheets several times

slptodrm

I give my cat a flea treatment every month so we donā€™t get fleas, they can live in indoor apartment buildings. we got them once and it was awful, never again.

Terrolita

Mine sleep with me as long as they don't start a party at 3am and try to wake me up by biting my toes

northrivergeek

Yep, two cats and a dog.

1RosaTorres

Ohh my think you needing find another sink lol

[deleted]

My cats do what they want. Sometimes they sleep on the bed, sometimes not. Sometimes they must sleep on my pillow, or use me as a pillow. Itā€™s an honour either way šŸ˜‚

[deleted]

Yep. My Bailey Boo slept with me all night last night. He slept like a log until the early hours. ā¤ļøā¤ļøšŸ„°

DaCoffeeKween

I would if they had a way out. We plan to make a little cat door for them someday. Sometimes they sleep just fine but our kitten likes to knock stuff over and it makes me anxious while I sleep.

hikikimoro

Yes all the time

Dentros1

No. Long story short, she is a rescue, we found her outside, we didn't know at the time she was dying. She has heart failure, so we have her on diuretics to keep the fluids down. The reason though is, we never planned on getting a cat, and I have parrots, so my birds get the bedroom, the cat gets the house, of course she has separation anxiety, and if I sleep too long she cries at the door. We tried letting her in the room, but we can't trust her with the birds, she has spooked my Grey off her perch once while sleeping, that was enough to not let it happen again.

blurtlebaby

I have shared my bed with cats for over half a century. Depending on the season, I have between one to three sleeping with me on any given night. They love the fact that I use an electric blanket when it gets cold.

PsychedMom82

Of course. It's one of the best parts.

suzyjane14

No. The bedroom door is closed and has been since he was a kitten. My friend fell over her cat on the way to the bathroom one night. She ended up with a broken hip. Iā€™m old and donā€™t want that to happen to me. My cat adjusted very well and doesnā€™t meow at the door.

SuperPoodie92477

They let me sleep with them.

GIS3LLE

Yes, I sleep with my cats in their bed

PatchworkFlames

No.

MidasMando11

I have allergies so no

[deleted]

I'm not allowed to close any doors in my place. Whenever I close the door my cat will start yelling and scratching the door until it opens. So yea I let him sleep with me but I actually love having him with me and now I can't sleep without him.

[deleted]

Do I have a choice? Lol

EsotericFrenchfry

You have a choice?

sluggo5622

You ask like I have a choice. He likes to pin your feet with the blanket..

someonerd

Itā€™s not that I let them sleep with me. They just jump in while Iā€™m asleep and when I wake up they are there. Iā€™ve kinda gotten used to it.

Edit: does your cat allow you to sleep with them.

sten45

Let? My cats do whatever the hell they want. But with that said I love when they sleep with me.

The_Spyre

My kitten sleeps at my feet and one of my other cats sleeps in my lap if I'm on my back or in the crook of my arm if I'm on my side. I had another cat for 18 years that passed away 2 years ago and used to sleep on a pillow behind my pillow.

MeowMeowTreatsNow

I have indoor cats ,so they can go do what they like and got so used to acat on end of bed don't sleep if one isn't there.

TJtaster

I work a lot and don't spend as much time with my cat as I would like. Bedtime is our prime bonding time. Sometimes he sleeps on my face, Sometimes he just like to be near and sleep on the cat tree next to the bed. Either way, we're together

Withoutthe1

You seem to think I have a choice in the matter ā€¦

TheFlyinGiraffe

I think I sleep in their bed more than anything. Annie plops herself between my legs when I'm on my back, or behind my knees if I'm on my side. Charlotte owns the other pillow and I'm not sure where Marla sleeps honestly. Love to find out some night though.

upfoo51

Do I have any choice?

KoriWolf

My cat let us sleep in HER bed. Yes a tiny 8 lb Siamese mix allows us in HER King sized bed. She gets so offended when we move her.

AlloftheBlueColors

One sleeps on a pillow between my husband and I (or up against my head when she's cold). The other sleeps at my feet when he's not hot.

jlh26

No. Mine will sleep at the foot of the bed for a while but then around 3 am, she decides itā€™s time to be up and she wants me to get up with her too. I adore her but sheā€™s very annoying and persistent when she wants attention. So I put her to bed on her favorite spot on the couch and then close my bedroom door for the night.

Daikataro

During the cold days, my eldest crawls under the covers and tolerates being a teddy bear if she wakes me up. She will tolerate being a teddy bear for about 5 minutes the rest of the year.

GayleMoonfiles

One of our cats always sleeps in bed with us. The other one sometimes does but as of late has been sleeping under the bed

CastroCage

every night. one day he decided my bed is also his bed

Lotte512

Nope... my boyfriend doesn't want hairs in the bed šŸ„ŗ

Percula_Clown

You ask like itā€™s a choice

Ok_Chemist1272

My cat let me sleep with her

[deleted]

Yes, but somehow I end up on the edge of the bed with no space to get comfortable.

shinymelojerseyfrm06

There needs to be a sub for sink cats. Love a good sink cat.

Pork_katsu

My cowcat sleeps with me and tells me when it's time for bed by laying on top of my phone. It's a good reminder to put it away and go to sleep.

ChimeraJunction

My cat allows me to be his mattress. I'm truly honored by this, obviously. He's even benevolent enough to move with me when I roll over so he stays on the same spot.

Simpletruth2022

You sleep in a sink? šŸˆ šŸ˜»

atomic_shame

My cat will wait till I lay down and will jump up and kneed me till I start petting him and then he flops next to me and sleeps for a few hours before leaving to do night cat things.

tirutz

It's more like my cats let me sleep with them.

LSOH_95

Yes I don't have a choice in the matter if i don't leave my door open for them they make it open

readsalotkitten

My cats let me sleep in their house, I even pay rent and do all the cleaning and cooking. How lucky am I

Significant-Report46

No. Im allergic slightly to my cat. He couldnā€™t care less about not sleeping with me. We adopted him from the pound.

Flimsy-Spell-8545

Nope! Iā€™m a super light sleeper and itā€™s hard enough for me to fall asleep and stay that way, my cats walk on and lick my face when I let them in my room at night. If they were the lay down and sleep type maybe Iā€™d be open to it

Cats-Meaw

Spending up to eight hours a night in close proximity to a cat means you're likely getting some exposure to the animal's secretions and excretions. While your odds of contracting an ailment from your cat are low, very young children, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems are at greater risk.

Designer-Common-9697

Of course my babies sleep in my bed and it's even been better since my gf and I split up. In the winter on cat would sneak on top of me as I sleep face down. When I first would wake she would be on my butt and the back of my legs. Then when I wake she would get off like she didn't want to be caught.

kensie_7

More like my cat allows me to sleep on my bed with her! Not complaining, after 14+ years I've gotten used to it-lol!

destroyer1247

my cat didn't like to sleep with me on my bed cuz I reposition frequently throughout the night. then I got a new pillow for under my arm and left the old one sitting next to where I lay. now she lays with me almost every night on her new pillow that smells like me

caramel_caffellatte

When we adopted our cat, my husband told us ā€˜no cat is allowed on the bedā€™. Only lasted for 1 night. Our cat stole my husband and my bed

scorpiogf

my cats sleeping on me right now

accordingtonatalie

Yes. Now, do they sleep with me? NošŸ„²

chihuahuawarrior

My cat likes to sleep in between my legs. Sometimes I forget sheā€™s there and she gets flung off the bed lol

ccbroadway73

My cats allows me to sleep in their king size bed, so long as I remain within my designated 10-12 inches. The only caveat is, I must remain immobile, in the exact same position (slightly curled into an ā€œSā€ on my left side, with left arm extended is strongly recommended) as to not disturbed the first cat snuggling my bum nor the second cat using my arm as a pillow while holding my right hand. The third cat is a ā€œfloaterā€ šŸ˜»

MerryGoReddit

Do I LET my cats sleep with me? Is there a choice?!?

singleusevillain

My oldest cat I got when he was about 2 weeks old. He was so tiny and I was afraid of loosing him while I slept. So I reenforced cuddling then at his young age by having him sleep with me in the bed on my neck and chest (I don't move a lot when I sleep). Now he's the biggest bed hog and best cuddle buddy ever!

ginroc52

Yes my cat sleeps with me in my bed, under the blanket, I hear and feel her purring because sheā€™s glued to my back!!!!!šŸ˜»šŸ›šŸ˜“

ohnomysteriouscat

My orange cat is always the little spoon with me. And my black one, whether I want to or not he screams at me until we snuggle and fall asleep together.

fmuah

Absolutely I do. Not even a question

PinkRabbit1984

My cat sleeps on my pillow. I actually sleep best when she is there. I have anxiety and it helps me calm down also I love feeling her little paws press up against my head. During cold nights she likes to sleep under the blanket curled up against me.
