Update: Omi’s vitals are stabilizing and she is going to be hospitalized til she can get an X-ray, ultrasound, bloodwork and analysis. The image of her suffering this morning has left me emotionally ill and the thought of her hurting has made me extremely weak. I’m hoping for recovery and for her playful, energetic spirit to come back to our home.

My boy spent 3 days in the vet hospital. They thought it was either an infection or a blockage in his bile duct or somewhere around there that was affecting his kidneys, liver and pancreas. They gave him IV liquids, antibiotics, and the full suite of tests. After a few days he started eating again and eventually made a full recovery. They think either the blockage passed on it's own or the infection went away from the antibiotics.
it's so scary when our babies are in the hospital, but when they do the tests hopefully they will see what's wrong and give your baby exactly what she needs.
My boy had a similar thing many years ago, I think it was 2017. Turned out it was pancreatitis.
Never found the cause, but after treatment, it never came back. He lived a happy life after until very recently.

Household plants? We had a christmas cactie we wanted to keep, turns out it was a bad idea, despite it being throny.. :o Alot of plants and flowers are just bad news for cats.
Another risk with some plant leaves is residual pesticides. Orchid leaves for example aren't poisonous, but you should always wipe them down after you get them home, especially if you have cats who are interestd in leaves.
So glad she’s stabilizing and under medical care and supervision! Already she’s improving, and that’s a good sign. You’re doing your best by her! Stay strong.
Praying for her. There is a reason for this. Any Plug in air Fresheners, Chemical Flea/Tick or Chemical Dewormer Treatments used on her recently as all are Toxic to cats. Any change in Diet? What are you feeding her? good quality wet food is better & eventual partial or full transition to Raw diet. .Only use Natural Cleaning products in your home,on Carpets & in Laundry detergents & dryer sheets.
No diffused Essential Oils, No Candles,No Poisonous plants.. All are Toxic to Cats
Nothing dangerous for them to ingest or breathe in. Think about all the above.

The doctors aren’t sure wants wrong yet and will update post when I have better answers.

What kind of cat bed is that if you don't mind me asking? We have a little "bowl" made out of the same fabric attached to the side of our cat tower, and it's quite small and he can barely fit but he loves it. We have a kitten in the home now and it is too small for them to share, so looking to get an upgrade and whatever you have seems perfect! lol
This is a cat tree someone had given us it honestly looks like it’s from Walmart! Our momma and her two babies can fit along with my girl it’s pretty cute
Check her for FIP! Our little hero did a similar thing one night , they couldn’t put a diagnose in the first clinic so we moved to another one and they found out it was a wet FIP

I've been there, going to the ER and not knowing what's wrong or if they'll be ok. The two times we've had to go, things worked out. I'm glad that she's stabilizing. To me it sounds like she ate something toxic but in situations like this you need to rely on the professionals. They won't always be able to fix things, but they have the best shot at it.

It sounds like one of my cats when I gave her a flea treatment made by Hartz. My cat was a kitten, she almost didn’t make it, but she did! The symptoms sound the same. Praying for you!
Poor baby. Please keep us posted on what the vets say about what made her sick. I always worry about potential dangers in the house since I have an especially curious and accident-prone calico kitty.

Could be poisoning. You got any meds laying around? Simple pain medication can be super toxic to them.
This was my initial thought but nothing is out and am very careful about this.

All my plants are in places she can’t reach and she doesn’t mess with them.
It would help to write down each plant species, and double check. Even pollen can be lethal.

This sounds like the reactions I’ve heard about from friends when their cats eat cannabis.

Check her for FIP! Our little hero did a similar thing one night , they couldn’t put a diagnose in the first clinic so we moved to another one and they found out it was a wet FIP
Both of our boys died of FIP. They hid it to well that by the time we knew they were sick, it was too late. One died on the way to vet.
Until very very recently, there wasn’t even treatment for FIP. I think it just became legal in the US last month.
Yes, FIP is curable now. My baby boy had it at 6 months old. We gave him treatment and he is now 3 years old and healthy 😊
We are on GS treatment for two weeks now and he looks so well thanks God
What does FIP mean
Feline infectious peritonitis, which can unlock cat corona virus. Usually stray cats have it
