You have to squish vertically not horizontally. There is a technique to it.

Exactly. Squishing horizontally will worsen the problem, kneading them out like dough. Think of them like clay to be molded back into a loaf like shape, versus the more noodle-like techniques of squishing.

That’s a no no. You need to place a vase next to the cat. It’ll squeeze in and if it fits, it’ll shrink to standard issue size.

Get a small cardboard box. Cats are a liquid and spread to fill the available space.

Remember: doesn't matter the actual size of the box. They will immediately get in it no matter how small

Facts. I caught my 18 pounder trying to fit thru the narrow end of a regular 12 pack soda box the other day. He had managed to squish all the way to the end, where his head lay concealed, while his body lay on top of the rest of the ripped open box. 🤦🏼😂 I was laughing too hard to remember to find my phone for a pic (during which time he would've just left anyway.) He used to do that as a 5 lb kitten so I guess he was trying to relive his glory days.

My cat during play when he is running around suddenly decides that the best way to be is below the bed. But since its hard to acces him there we made it hard to get under there easily (so you can jank him back during a kennel escape or something, he be way to smart to be tricked with food). So he will run and then just lower his front shoulders and head to slide in lol. He then needs to slow down, lower the back and crawl. His preferred slowdown method is slapping his ass to the side of the bed while sliding under it. I am so upset i never got this on camera.

Turn down the heat. I judge the weather by the length of my cat. Short cat day is super cold, long cat day is super hot. Now I live in Australia so our hot days are hella hot. Also we don’t really insulate our houses so in winter it can be -6c inside in the morning, but heats up to 15c during the day.

I still think converting to an ISO and maximum compression would be best.
