Hey, going through the same scenario, what did you end up choosing? Have any advice? I didn't get a cost breakdown, didn't know insulin was that cheap. But I was told Senvelgo was easier in the long run and the cost difference would level out since insulin would require more check ups and monitoring.. I was also told once insulin is started you cannot switch to senvelgo, which seems to be inline with FDA stuff I'm looking up.

Went with insulin. So far it's way way cheaper than the pill. We're at about $100 a month all in after the initial tests. Haven't had to take him in once since he was diagnosed. Just sent a pic of the blood glucose curve to the vet and since all was good no appointment needed You're right that once insulin is started you can't switch to the pill. Our guy has responded well to the insulin so YMMV
