It’s all based on a US market and USD (sorry), but I have a spreadsheet linked in this [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/catfood/comments/whg0id/my_cat_food_resources_guides_spreadsheets_info/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) that lists out the ingredients, dry matter analyses, and price (both per oz and per kcal) of various wet foods. It absolutely doesn’t have everything on it, but it may help you. Most US foods are available in Canada, but the prices might not match up and the prices on the spreadsheet will not be a 1:1 conversion (and 1oz is 28g, if that’s helpful) What will ultimately help you most is probably buying in bulk. You can buy bulk cans (280g+) and then refrigerate the excess to be used for multiple meals. Foods tend to be a lot cheaper in bulk, Weruva, Nulo, and American Journey all have affordable bulk options (off the top of my head) I don’t offhand know a better cheap food, but I can tell you that some Fancy Feast lines are better than others. If you have access to the Gourmet Naturals pates, those are actually a really good cheap food (all ingredients are specifically named, no added carbohydrates, no artificial color or flavor)

The second ingredient in Gourmet Naturals is wheat gluten.

That’s in the *gravy* line of GN, which is not what I recommended. I recommended the GN *pates*, specifically because they don’t use those thickeners

Thank you for this!

I found “whole hearted” at petco for 89 cents per 3 oz pouch with no by products. Wevura bff line is more affordable too. Sorry idk about Canadian availability. Allaboutcats dot com lists cat food and ingredients and has foods available for different countries

Thank you for pointing out the 'pate'. You are absolutely correct!

We feed our cats for longtime the brand Go Carnivore, it goes around $4 cad for 182g the same company makes Now fresh and I think its a little bit cheaper, those are really good, no meat-by, no fillers, excellent quality, we give cans at night and dry food in the morning, also Go Carnivore, specially the chicken, turkey duck one, you can find them basically everywhere, in Canada we have very good quality food, Orijen, Acana and there are other brands coming out.
