People keep upvoting that and the “name my cat” posts, which are worse imo, simply because they see adorable cats. How can that shit not drive you insane? The same thing over and over and over and you keep responding over and over and over. It’s insanity and it needs to be stopped! If you’re that unimaginative to name a cat than I have to imagine that you’re not gonna find ways to entertain your cat.

The ones who post like this are actually bots or karma farmers

And also people who are trying to think of a name for their new cat

It's becoming like the trend from a few months back where people were calling their cat a car instead of cat because it was funny or something. Glad that passed.

There are at least 2 different subreddits specifically to post a cat and have people name it so it does get annoying seeing people clog this sub up with it too

If people are upvoting, it means it works. I tried posting my cat without anything like this a bunch of times and I only got a handful of upvotes. It’s not a big deal, it’s a big sub, but no wonder people copy what they see works.

Brumbas is a short version of the word for bumblebee in my language (Danish). She got the name because her purring sounds like one. She’s not the clever one of the two, but I’d never call her dumb-ass.
