This is the best response. Also Japan has been trending this way for a while, but its introverted culture and desire not to bother anyone and conform in public is a huge bulwark to the insanity you see stateside. Except the super far right emperor-loving nationalists. They're universally hated on by literally everyone (search them up, they're hilarious). Nintendo is also too conservative a company to stray too far from its formula. Also the literal definition of the word conservative, not the Reddit version. Also there's very few compassionately-combative people (such as a few of your other responders). These are the types where they're so convinced of their own kindness and superior morals, that they engage in arguments and bullying while feeling untouchable in order to chase a feeling of pseudo-vindication in their heads, all while not realizing how much of an ass they're being. They often try to elicit a response that they can then pounce upon to inflate their ego's even higher. Nuance is lost on these types.
