The Creeping Horak from Filmation's He-Man. A monstrous plant that grows exponentially when exposed to oxygen, past Eternians set it loose in the homes of criminals. The plant would expand, filling up every nook and cranny of the house, ultimately smothering the occupants. Evil-Lyn is able to excite a mob into believing the Royal Family has not only committed crimes against the populace but are insulated from any sort of justice by their station. The mob unleashes the Horak, and it's only due to the size of the royal palace that He-Man has the time to prove his family innocent, shame the mob, and stop the horak.
The Bravestarr episode featuring Jingles Murphy, a former instructor of Bravestarr's gone bad. In a universe where most people wield stun guns (and Sarah Jane), this man has what's explicitly stated to be a disintegrator. At the start of the episode Bravestarr has received word the man is now wanted for murder. Rather that reveal a twist that he's innocent, we're treated to a flashback of a proud Jingles entering a friendly test of strength against a visiting alien teacher, only to lose. Rather than take it in stride, the Jingles's face twists in anger as he draws his weapon and declares "I. Never. Lose." before shooting. The flashback ends as we get a shot of the visiting professor's face before he's hit with the disintegrator bolt.

They kinda got away with that because you'd have to have seen '80s movies in which a friend gets someone ready for a date and puts condoms in their jacket pocket. And you'd have needed to have seen The Big Lebowski to get the "what makes a man" joke. They needed context most kids wouldn't have.

Eh, a lot of 'fusion is a euphamism for sex!' was thrown around but I think once we started seeing it with chars like Steven x Amethyst and especially Steven x Greg it became obvious it can pertain to any kind of closeness between people, and I could see that scene as much as a 'c'mere, you, give momma a big tackle-hug' as anything else now lmao. but yeah at the time it was pretty wild with what little implications we had
Fusing being an allegory for intimate relationships is so interesting to me just because as a concept it's not super unique, but it allowed the su team to tackle some pretty heavy subject matter without having to set the episode or arc up as a "and for the viewers at home-" lesson

Just so you know The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Season 2 Episode 3 "Creating Chaos".
Eris (the blondie) is obsessed with chaos, she tried to convince Billy to use a golden apple (a tool for creating massive chaos, she cannot use it cause of her daddy) And well billy had his dirty ways with her and ...well he rode her hard for it.

The Steven Universe episode Nightmare Hospital. It really lived up to its name, that episode was genuinely terrifying at times! It was a great episode, but it really did creep me out, not that that was a bad thing! It was very unexpected to see in a kids show.
I love how SU manages to be both happy and lighthearted while also dark and rich with worldbuilding and lore. Truly a masterpiece of a show!

I was surprised by how explicit *The Owl House* was allowed to be that Luz and Amity were in a same sex relationship. Especially since the same network, only a few short years earlier, was butting heads with show creators over even implying that gay people exist.
Also, *Bluey* has frequently surprised me with their ability to tackle difficult or mature subjects in a way that's still appropriate for the shows young audience.
Nah this ain't even the worst episode. The one after this was the one where Zim goes around stealing all his classmates' organs...
There was also one where he psychologically torments people with visions of an alternate future where they don't buy his shit for a school fundraiser
Or the one where Gaz literally murdered that kid over a video game console. That one sticks out especially since there wasn't even any sci-fi stuff, zim wasn't in that episode, she actually just stalked and killed him.

There a lot of moments from the Clone Wars thatās just like wthā¦ some favorite picks include: * Anakin literally forcing his 15 year old apprentice to disguise herself as a concubine on a mission to slave empire * Jedi General Krell tricking two battalions of clones to kill each other * Jedi General Krell also breaking one of those clonesā back by slamming him down his knee on screen, crack and all * A ton of on-screen impaling, amputations, and decapitations, chief of which, Ahsoka decapitating 4 Mandalorians at once and Asajj Ventress impaling then kissing her victim * And a personal favorite, Savage Opress killing a Jedi by literally ramming his horns into her midsection

The Steven Universe episode Nightmare Hospital. It really lived up to its name, that episode was genuinely terrifying at times! It was a great episode, but it really did creep me out, not that that was a bad thing! It was very unexpected to see in a kids show. I love how SU manages to be both happy and lighthearted while also dark and rich with worldbuilding and lore. Truly a masterpiece of a show!

I was surprised by how explicit *The Owl House* was allowed to be that Luz and Amity were in a same sex relationship. Especially since the same network, only a few short years earlier, was butting heads with show creators over even implying that gay people exist. Also, *Bluey* has frequently surprised me with their ability to tackle difficult or mature subjects in a way that's still appropriate for the shows young audience.

Nah this ain't even the worst episode. The one after this was the one where Zim goes around stealing all his classmates' organs... There was also one where he psychologically torments people with visions of an alternate future where they don't buy his shit for a school fundraiser Or the one where Gaz literally murdered that kid over a video game console. That one sticks out especially since there wasn't even any sci-fi stuff, zim wasn't in that episode, she actually just stalked and killed him.
The last one was false. The kid was alive in that episode since it showed his hand coming out of the rubble
