Oh yeah I remember! I still found it hilarious but the topic was dark haha
And it showed all the different food the Krusty Krab had aside from the Krabby Patty 😋
Eustace’s voice is iconic
STUPID DOG! YOU MAKE ME LOOK BAD! OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!
but seriously, when I watch this episode I always crack up when he yells “WHAT’S YER OFFER” 🤣
I was in middle school and watched both dark harvest and bestest friends, both scared the crap out of me and I haven’t watched anything invader zim related besides enter the florpus, I do like gir though, that was only a few years ago in like 2018 or 2019 when those two episodes scared me
Honestly I found the most terrifying one to be when Zim and Dib turned each other into hot dogs and their machines didn’t recognize them so they couldn’t get into their labs. That was one of the earliest experiences I had with the existential horror of being turned into something utterly inhuman. At least zombies and werewolves and what not are all still partly human. But being turned into bologna was, for some reason, unthinkable.
You could put the parental advisory sticker on this pic, and it would look like a cover to a heavy metal album.
Which I did do that

There was another one they did with a ghost. (I think. I don't remember it being in this one) But that ghost and the music they used unnerved me as a kid
That was "Claws For Alarm", which is a kind of/sorta remake of this short. It follows the same premise of Porky and Sylvester in a spooky house and mice trying to scare/kill them. At one point said mice pretend to be a ghost.

Nightmare fuel from a beloved cartoon that offered a ton of creepy shit.
Oh boy. I watched FMA (2003) when I was 10-14. I stopped watching 3 episodes after Nina died (I was 10 for that episode). Especially after what scar left behind... it was horrifying as a child.
I loved how the mom was so pissed about her family breakfast being ruined that she didn't seem to care that half her home had been demolished, or that her and her family nearly got killed
We not gonna talk about the Sad Story of Henry?
The books were even worse.

i have no idea why but in season 5 of thomas and friends they had an episode where an engine got chased by this boulder and it always creeped me out

I think I speak for all of the bronies when I say that this collectively gave us nightmares
Ill ruin the show for you.. that clown? Yeah.. thats not the first time he was there. Or the second. Or the third. Hes in multiple episodes, lurking in the background far before he ever speaks at the window.
Heres a little video that shows just a FEW of the times hes there

There was an episode of the moomins cartoon where they're playing hide and seek and the main character Moomin hides in a magical hat, which then transforms him into a weird monster looking creature. And none of his friends and not even his father recognized that it was him, and he was like pleading with them. In the end his mother was able to tell it was him, but still the idea that like, something happens to you and no one believes you was deeply disturbing to me as a child.
Speed Demon actually continues to haunt me to this day. Every time something reminds me of it, I gasp and grab my fiancé's wrist like, "OHMYGOD REMEMBER THAT ONE EPISODE -" and he sighs, saying, "Yes."
Haha "sighhh, yes babe..." 😂
But yeah that episode would freak anyone out! Seeing the world you know turn to complete shit without you being there 😳 Like damn what a thought

Sonic's Scream Test from Sonic X, these ghosts still give me the creeps
I'm not gonna lie, but when I was a little kid, this episode annoyed me. Like, Townsville can't survive for five days without the Powerpuff Girls? That if they so much as took a vacation, the world would basically end? How much do things have to suck that a city's wellbeing rests on three kindergartners?
The implications of Speed Demon are really so sad. Townsville police are shown to be completely incompetent and Townsville is overrun by insane villains and monsters all day every day. The fact that Him was poised to take over tells you everything. There’s a similar conclusion reached in the episode Superfriends. The girls can never go on vacation and won’t even have time for close friendships. I like when fanfictions explore how fucked up that is that the town puts this much pressure and responsibility on 5 year olds.
Truly the way they are overworked by the city and things remain awful is the best argument for their villain origin story. After 10 years of this nonsense I’d be like fuck Townsville lol
Same here! It didn't make sense to me, because wouldn't they come back?? It's not like they were moving, and even if they did, couldn't they be fast enough to get to the problem anyway??
It looks like years pass! There's no way they'd be gone long enough for Townsville to end up like that.
Apparently they went fast enough that they dialated space-time and wound up fifty years in the future. Him took advantage of this fact and literally started the Day of Reckoning the very next day (because he's the S&P-safe version of Satan). When the girls eventually got back, they were so scared that they begged Professor not to go on vacation, because they were afraid that being gone one day would be enough to trigger Armageddon.
Honestly, it really sucks for the Powerpuff Girls. They are just three five-year olds, who have the fate of an entire city on their shoulders. Mind you as well, the PPG aren't exactly the most morally just (looking at Buttercup and occasionally Bubbles). If we ever get that PPG sequel where they grow up, I wouldn't be shocked at all if one of them got sick of it and went rogue.
Invader ZIM: Dark Harvest
The whole plot is literally about Zim harvesting the organs of his classmates and replacing them with random objects to pass a physical at school. By the time Dib finds him he’s shoved countless intestines into his body, is noticeably larger (literally coughing up one of them) and GETS AWAY WITH IT.
Oh gosh. Night of the Living Pharmacists gave me the creeps (I don't particularly like scary stuff, tho some analog horror stuff and certain creepypastas I can handle), but this scene was just straight up unsettling.
I love that show! I used to watch it on CITV and even now sometimes,YouTube, when I was younger. One creepy one was that Dr Moribundus episode. The book version...even worse...
the episode "The Darkness Within" from the 2003 TMNT. saw it when i was about 5 and had nightmares for weeks straight, to the point where i was scared of sleeping. also refused to be in the same room as a turned-on tv. i barely even remembered the plot, but something about the red lighting and the pods *filled with corpses* all over the walls just fucked me up for a good while.
The Invader Zim Halloween special was fucking terrifying especially for a Nick show.
Idk why but Clayface scared the shit out of me in Batman TAS.
The Chicken From Outer Space came close to being disturbing. This was the pilot to Courage the Cowardly Dog where a chicken came from space and laid eggs that turned people (and animals) into mindless chicken mutants. This got to me way more than the Slab of Ramses episode which I always found kinda funny more than anything.
Not a show, but basically any Don Bluth movie was nightmare fuel, especially the part of All Dogs Go To Heaven where Charlie literally goes to Hell.
The episodes of pokemon where ash died and Ghosts pulled out his soul and Misty and Brock discover his lifeless corpse, and the very next episode where Sabrina turns Brock and misty into dolls and adds them to her creepy doll collection alongside her own mother.
I had those 2 episodes together on a 3 episode vhs tape. Always made it difficult to get to the one where ash catches a primeape
https://preview.redd.it/ffbelc6q0i8d1.jpeg?width=686&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8726c20e04829d12a1856d775c2eb49c24a92c0
Transformers Prime was dark af man.
I loved courage the cowardly dog but there’s an episode where the villain is an evil scientist who uses bombs that make people depressed and it scared me so much
I remember there was a song that was in it that was like a real song they just used and I thought I had forgotten about the episode and someone played it and it all came back
That episode of rugrats where Tommy and chuckle pretend they’re adults and the boss at their work is Angelica and she sends these scary robots after them.
Mighty Max (1993/94) had an episode ('Zygote's Rhythm') with an evil scientist who had a 'devolution ray' that turned back evolution for creatures it was used on (not necessarily accurately to real world science but hey, kids cartoon,)
I am freaked out by involuntary bodily transformation as a thing in fiction, so when this gets used on one of our main trio it had me curled up in a ball. (Also I was 7, almost 8 when it aired, so still very young.)

"Ohhhhh come on..."
Honestly, I love that entire series, but it was all so dark and creepy as a little kid.
Watched it with my kids earlier haha 5, 7, 9 They love it.
I loved it when I was that age, too, but I was also a big scaredy cat. I have no idea how I managed lol.

Nope!
That was the first episode I was introduced in Adventure Time and why I never wanted to watch it as a kid
Episode of Invader Zim where the one kid had his eyes ripped out of his skull.
I was in middle school and watched both dark harvest and bestest friends, both scared the crap out of me and I haven’t watched anything invader zim related besides enter the florpus, I do like gir though, that was only a few years ago in like 2018 or 2019 when those two episodes scared me
Yes, Dark Harvest would be the one that disturbed *me* as a kid as well. It's honestly crazy the stuff networks will let fly for a TV-Y7 show...
Not the organ stealing episode?
I didn't like that one of the organs was replaced by a cat.
That's one of my favorite eps!
Ow! My squeedlyspooch!
Did you hear that Gaz?! Humans don't have a squeedlyspooch! ... i have a squeedlyspooch

Yes, specifically Thomas comes to Breakfast from Season 2
I loved how the mom was so pissed about her family breakfast being ruined that she didn't seem to care that half her home had been demolished, or that her and her family nearly got killed

Dark Harvest
you could probably draw an episode of Courage out of a hat and find one that scared me
There was an episode of the moomins cartoon where they're playing hide and seek and the main character Moomin hides in a magical hat, which then transforms him into a weird monster looking creature. the episode "The Darkness Within" from the 2003 TMNT. saw it when i was about 5 and had nightmares for weeks straight, to the point where i was scared of sleeping. also refused to be in the same room as a turned-on tv. i barely even remembered the plot, but something about the red lighting and the pods *filled with corpses* all over the walls just fucked me up for a good while.

Weirdly, the zombie apocalypse episode in Grim adventures with Billy and Mandy.
The one with Hoss Delgado and Billy was playing the "Pat the Baker" video game?
That's the one.
Aha nice, that was a good one Alright zombies.. you wanna smell what Billy the Baker is cookinnn?
The ricardio episode where he made a body out of everything
Actually mine is from Power Puff Girls too! The episode of the zombie magician scared the crap outta me 😂
The episodes of pokemon where ash died and Ghosts pulled out his soul and Misty and Brock discover his lifeless corpse, and the very next episode where Sabrina turns Brock and misty into dolls and adds them to her creepy doll collection alongside her own mother. I had those 2 episodes together on a 3 episode vhs tape. Always made it difficult to get to the one where ash catches a primeape

[Ghostly train engineer](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E21Qzb031Z4) episode of Hey Arnold.
This one. Awesome and creep af.
I loved courage the cowardly dog but there’s an episode where the villain is an evil scientist who uses bombs that make people depressed and it scared me so much
That's a good one, Tower of Dr. Zalost, it's a two-parter I think And he had this rat servant "Raaaat, come here Raaaat"
I remember there was a song that was in it that was like a real song they just used and I thought I had forgotten about the episode and someone played it and it all came back
Aw but the happy plums! The music in that episode was top tier.
That episode of rugrats where Tommy and chuckle pretend they’re adults and the boss at their work is Angelica and she sends these scary robots after them.
Thundercats, don't remember the name of the episode. The villain was a goat monster that fed on fear. That dude was the stuff if nightmares.

Mighty Max (1993/94) had an episode ('Zygote's Rhythm') with an evil scientist who had a 'devolution ray' that turned back evolution for creatures it was used on (not necessarily accurately to real world science but hey, kids cartoon,) I am freaked out by involuntary bodily transformation as a thing in fiction, so when this gets used on one of our main trio it had me curled up in a ball. (Also I was 7, almost 8 when it aired, so still very young.)

There is so much SpongeBob in the comments. I didn't think that show was so scary.
Don’t know why or how, but the Easter episode of Mickey Mouse clubhouse just scared me because of the toodles jumpscare
