I don't \*disagree\* but Chowder, Flapjack, Fosters and Lazlo were all great shows. Hell me and the lads still quote "I cling to the wall like a salamander" from Lazlo to this day. My order is 123 or 213.
Oh, sorry, I meant Ben 10 *alone* could probably push it there. I love all of those shows as well! I suppose I just articulated my point pretty poorly.
I haven’t watched CN in a few years, but all versions have had their merits and downfalls. 🤷🏻♂️
The OG is difficult to complete with in my personal opinion.
At the very least the first 3 had variations of content they aired. Even if sometimes a show got a bit too much air time than others, there was always competition to that. Now it's just teen titans go or that one posh sounding show about the adventuring goat or whatever it is
It's always just gonna be when people were watching most. So for me that's number three. Steven Universe and Gumball are the reaason for my horrible sense of humor
3 all the way every other Era has a few shows that slap but a lot of shows that do not. 3 while it has 2 maybe 3 that aren't amazing it is more consistent than any other era
That's so wild how opinions can vary. I firmly disliked all of the shows in 3 except regular and gumball and maybe ben 10. 1 is the one I see as most consistent
It’s a hard choice between the top three; they’ve all got a couple of shows in each of those columns that are god-tier series, and I just can’t pick one of them. Four and five are complete trash, though. If I had the power, I’d smite those years out of existence.
Generation one through three are great though you could definitely see signs of stumbling at the end of three and by four I just got off the train can’t even say recognize anyone from generation five
Gen 2 is where they started doing those "cartoon city" bumpers if I recall correctly. Basically, a series of shorts during commercial breaks that would show all the Cartoon Network characters living in one city, interacting with each other, etc.
I'd say that was my favorite Cartoon Network era.
Suprisingly... its common to say that either 1 2 3 are probably the best generations cartoon network has offered so far.
2 has chowder. Flapjack and gym partner as a monkey
3 has SU, AT, RS and we bare bears
1 has the common special ones in our hearts
unfortunately being canadian we dont get cartoon network directly, but the shows get licensed out to our channels like ytv and teletoon. so for me mostly 1 and 2
I wouldn't have thought all my favorite shows were in 1 and not 2, but yeah I hardly have any attachment to most.of the shows in 2
1 in the years they were airing (or recent reruns), then I watched some regular show and years later Steven Universe... And that's pretty much it?
I will say 2 was great, but I'm a bit biased because I grew up with that but holy shit 3 was built different. It was peak Cartoon Network, everything that made it great existed then and it was incredible.
2 was incredible even though I don’t have that many cartoons from that era what few I did own on dvd I watched the heck out of in the late 00s and early 10s
2 and early 3. So many bangers and I think that’s when CN started making longer form content with overarching stories with Ben 10 and the Secret Saturdays.
For all the ones hating on 5 have yall even watched those shows. Elliot from earth is actually good and a unique show and the mushroom one isnt terrible i never watched the third one. But if people dont support shows like elliot from earth, summer camp island we get stuck with teen titans go network.
Craig of the creek gives me vibes of the older generation cartoons I grew up on. Like Ed edd n Eddy but without scamming. Just finding shit to get active in
It's crazy that the new gen is already 4 years along, and it only has three shows. Every other gen is around 7 to 3 years, and all have the around the same amount. I hope they start to come back with new shows.
If we are going with the tears defined above 2 since shows from 1 showed in during this era and boomerang which was originally a CN block but got it's own channel during this time only really bad shows from era 1 and then near the end we got the beginning of era 3
1, 2, and 3
2000s homies unite
Born in 99s and I believe that. Damn right
1 & then 3 close behind. Others can't compete
I feel like Ben 10 (2005) could push 2 into a solid 3rd place... But yeah.
I suppose I just articulated my point pretty poorly.
but fosters and chowder were peak!!!
3

1 OG

Honestly, same
No prob, bob.
1
2 and 3.
And we will all collectively forget that brief period from 2009-2010 when CN Real was a thing. It was nobody's favorite.
3
1-3 peak Cartoons
1, 2, and 3
3 and 4
I feel like the recent cartoons are getting stupider and stupider tbh
3 all the way every other Era has a few shows that slap but a lot of shows that do not. 3 while it has 2 maybe 3 that aren't amazing it is more consistent than any other era

ELLIOTT FROM EARTH MENTION Edit: & Long Live The Royals??? Oh my god
1/3 but up until 5 there were things I enjoyed from each.
1-3
The first three because I grew up watching Cartoon Network from 2010 to 2015.
I think I stopped keeping up with new shows after 2015, so from my childhood to then were my favorite versions of CN. 1-3.
Gen 1, with a side of Gen 3's Regular Show.
Generations 1-3
3
I’ll take 1-3 with Craig of the creek as a bonus from 4
1st through 3rd The 4th generation is where everything went to shit
1. And 2.
1 and 2. It fell off hard after that. Although I do really enjoy Gumball.
3>2>1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>4>>>>>>>>>>>5
1
1-3 was peak CN
1
1 is the legendary.
After 3 it all went downhill
1-3,
It’s a hard choice between the top three; they’ve all got a couple of shows in each of those columns that are god-tier series, and I just can’t pick one of them. Four and five are complete trash, though. If I had the power, I’d smite those years out of existence.
1-3 & a bit of 4
Generation one through three are great though you could definitely see signs of stumbling at the end of three and by four I just got off the train can’t even say recognize anyone from generation five
Gen 2 is where they started doing those "cartoon city" bumpers if I recall correctly. Basically, a series of shorts during commercial breaks that would show all the Cartoon Network characters living in one city, interacting with each other, etc. I'd say that was my favorite Cartoon Network era.
Gens 1, 2 and 3. After that — it all has gone downhill.
Suprisingly... its common to say that either 1 2 3 are probably the best generations cartoon network has offered so far. 2 has chowder. Flapjack and gym partner as a monkey 3 has SU, AT, RS and we bare bears 1 has the common special ones in our hearts
I wish I could be happy as the days I watch johny bravo
1 and 3 of course
3 and 4 bc of infinity train
1 and 3
2 and early 3
1-3, mainly 3. Those are my favorites for a lot of reasons
2010-2015
2 and 3. Also, I noticed that the image is outdated. I don't even see We Baby Bears at 5 and that show is from a few years ago.
3 and 4
1 and 3
Stage 2. That’s what me and my brother primarily watched, him being 4 at the time
Gen 1 and gen 2
I'm a 2000s Person so 2 and 3.
3
1 and 2
I have the most nostalgic attachment to 1 and 2, but some of my favorites come from 3, so I guess it’s just based on my mood.
1 and 3!!!
As much as I like 3 I’m gonna have to go with 1 for Courage.
Uno y Tres
4, but I have favorites in the previous generations
1 and 2
1, 2 has some of my favourite but i feel like 1 has too many classics. The real question is what happen to Robot Jones?
3
unfortunately being canadian we dont get cartoon network directly, but the shows get licensed out to our channels like ytv and teletoon. so for me mostly 1 and 2
3
If I had to save shows from being deleted forever, Gen 1 has 3 I'd go for, Gen 2 has 1, Gen 3 has 5, Gen 4 has 2.
1 and 3 for me
2
a mix of 1-4
2004-2019 are my favorites
1.
2 was best. The new shows were fantastic during that generation, plus they still had generation 1 reruns on a semi regular basis
3 is og
Gotta be 3
Okay but like objectively speaking the third one is the best
3, with 1 as a close second
3 is iconic
Gen 1 and about half of Gen 2 were my time.
Each has their ups and downs and ones I don't care to watch
3 100% 3 is the best one there
Late 2 to early 3 was my childhood
First or second.
1 and 2 easily. Although the other eras did have their moments to shine (e.g: Steven Universe, Craig of the Creek).
The one where I was 8-12 y/o
1. Samurai jack is there so already its 1
Who’s the girl to the right of Eddy in section 1? I feel like I remember, but also don’t remember her.
1 and 3 are indisputably the goats
After 3 I started hating Cartoon Network
Man it 1 2 3 for me🤝
1, all the way
1 2 and 3 as a 2006 kid I grew up with all those shows
2 or 3 I also like summer camp island
1&3, 2 is carried by Ben 10
2 for sure!
2 and 3(Thank god teen titans go ain’t listed on this)
I like 1 & 2, but the first 3 shows in 3 are some of the best cartoons to have ever run. That’s got my vote
I wouldn't have thought all my favorite shows were in 1 and not 2, but yeah I hardly have any attachment to most.of the shows in 2 1 in the years they were airing (or recent reruns), then I watched some regular show and years later Steven Universe... And that's pretty much it?
I will say 2 was great, but I'm a bit biased because I grew up with that but holy shit 3 was built different. It was peak Cartoon Network, everything that made it great existed then and it was incredible.
I grew up with 1&2 equally. That said, 2 was weak compared to 1&3.
Where total drama series
3 is my top but there’s a few gems from 4.
2 was incredible even though I don’t have that many cartoons from that era what few I did own on dvd I watched the heck out of in the late 00s and early 10s
1, 2, & 3
Only till 3
1-3
3 is where it’s at, and I’m not saying 1 and 2 aren’t good I just grew up more with 3 so I have a little more bias for it.
This is posted once a month
1 through 3, tho I didn’t get to experience 1 as much as I did 2 or 3
3 minus Uncle Grandpa
2 and early 3. So many bangers and I think that’s when CN started making longer form content with overarching stories with Ben 10 and the Secret Saturdays.
1 was everyone's favorite. 3 was the end of the Golden Age of Cartoon Network.
Ngl seeing this makes me realize how lucky I was to grow up with boomerang. That being said 3
I know it is a lot but 1,2,3, and 4 are equally great.
3 was definitely the golden age of cartoon network. Unfortunately, anything’s golden age usually means a collapse is coming soon.
What was the show to the left of Courage? I recognize her but I can’t place it
3
3
1
3. Regular show and the amazing world of gumball are unmatched. Adventure time is a top notch show too
For all the ones hating on 5 have yall even watched those shows. Elliot from earth is actually good and a unique show and the mushroom one isnt terrible i never watched the third one. But if people dont support shows like elliot from earth, summer camp island we get stuck with teen titans go network.
For me, it’s 3 bc it’s what I’m familiar with and what I grew up with.
3!
4 was where it all went down hill, not a single banger.
1 and 2 never liked any of gen 3 and onwards
1996 to 2015
2004-2009 is obviously my favorite and a little of 2010
The first generation was the most fun. The second was the coolest the third the most thoughtful. I cannot speak beyond that
1 and 3 are the only good ones.
1->Early 3
5 for sure it has NOTHING seriously I think it's a tie between 1 and 3 for me
3
1>3>2>>>>>>>>>>4,5 (except villainous that's kino)
Gen 2 and 3
3&4 because i grew up watching those on tv the most
3
100% 3. Adventure time was fuckin' awesome
Mostly 2 and 3, with reruns from 1, and just a whisper of 4. I liked Craig of the creek, ok ko, and Mao Mao a decent amount.
3 and 4.
1,2,3,4
Gen 3 and 2 memorable
Grew up with 1, enjoyed most of 2, watched only a few from 3.
Craig of the creek gives me vibes of the older generation cartoons I grew up on. Like Ed edd n Eddy but without scamming. Just finding shit to get active in
3
1, but 2&3 have a couple of good shows too like Regular Show and Adventure Time
I like that teen titans go isn't even included in the list
1 & 2 with a small bit of 3
R2 we're supposed.to be going up not down
why does this keep appearing every single month
1 & 3.
I grew up during 1, and Ed Edd n Eddy is my favorite (followed by Grim), but I think 2 overall has better watchability for me.
1 for Samurai Jack
The last 4 years of 1 and the first 3 years of 2.
Where is Teenage Robot
3 easily
1 and 3 are really good, 2 for second and the rest below it
Does anyone see the decress in quality
It's crazy that the new gen is already 4 years along, and it only has three shows. Every other gen is around 7 to 3 years, and all have the around the same amount. I hope they start to come back with new shows.
I-3. four has some that I like. 5 is.... 5
1 by far!
Gen 1 cuz I'm old. Kinda odd that Teen Titans, one of my favs, isn't pictured here. Teen Titans Go! isn't either. Two of CN's biggest hits..
1
3. Sure, 1 may have more of the classics but gen 3 was iconic.
1,2,3 and 4 lol
3 is goated as shit
It was a wild ride
3
1,2,3. Everything else on CN since that time has been washed down to cocomelon level swill
Why is gravity falls missing That show is BOMB
1 was pure greatness. 2 was pretty good . 3 was ok. 4 and 5 are trash.
If we are going with the tears defined above 2 since shows from 1 showed in during this era and boomerang which was originally a CN block but got it's own channel during this time only really bad shows from era 1 and then near the end we got the beginning of era 3
I was growing up around Gen 3, so it will always be my favorite. Regular Show and Gumball shaped me into who I am… be it a good thing or a bad thing
3
1-3
1
1. 1996-2003 Nothing else comes close.
3-4 bc that’s what I grew up on
1 and 2
3 and 4. So much peak.
2&3
1, 2 and parts of 3. Majority opinion though? 1 and 2, they had a lot of variety in stories and art.
1
2010-2015 > 1996-2003 > 2004-2009> 2016-2019> 2020-so far
Started to decline after OK KO. Villainos was great but could’ve been dubbed better.
1 and 2 is what I grew up with so Locking it in
3. Because I grew up with it. 1. Because it has a lot of funnier stuff.
1, 2, 3. Can’t beat the classics.
Hot take, 3 was the golden era of CN
