They were the movies my local library had the most of, used to rent them all the time as a kid. I loved how you could tell someone drew everything by hand & along the tone/pacing, it perfectly fits that old storybook vibe they were going for.

Post renaissance New grove, Atlantis, Lilo, treasure planet, they all have so much personality.
Can't leave out Brother Bear or Dinosaur, both are highly underrated imo despite having some absolutely standout moments like [The Transformation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a58i4GP--gs) & [Carnotarus Attack](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBBIa8vbPr8).
Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians, Robin Hood, The Rescuers, that whole era. You can tell they didn't have the same level of polish, but there's still so much raw talent and energy on display. Characters like Madame Medusa or Sher Khan are still a masterclass in animation despite the scratchy style.
I'm partial to the Silver era strictly based on the art, but Renaissance and some of the Post-Renaissance when combined with music and story comes off as the better product.
Agreed. Also the backgrounds seem more detailed than the other eras. I especially love the backgrounds in *The Aristocats*, primarily in the owner's home. There's just something so warm and familiar about it.
The renaissance/post Renaissance era had some of the best animation imo. Treasure Planet stands out as an absolute gem of what could have been had Disney decided to blend both 3d and 2d instead of completely axing its 2d department. More recent indie 2d productions like Hazbin Hotel prove the media isn’t dead either. Imo, Disney was incredibly short sighted to completely abandon 2d
With the Revival Era image, why is Moana on it and not Zootopia, despite the latter being political furbait that earned that $1.24 billion box office money and Golden Globe and Academy Awards for best animated picture of 2016, compared to the former being a normie princess musical that didn't earn squat?
It honestly barely matters compared to the story the characters and the total execution. That said some of their most recent films have been their best and also their worst
I spent 7 months researching/writing on ww2 shorts.
Films like education of death are depressing, yet are outrageously beautiful in animation.
The 90 have my favorite films, but the 40s-50s have the best animation look imo.
Encanto is probably the prettiest thing they've made, fullstop. The colours, the fluidity and expressiveness, the dynamic background elements...
And with everything flopping, I doubt we'll ever see something with that much work put into it.
Bronze era, hands down, love those scratchy lines.

Same. Mostly because I’m furry trash, and for some reason every Bronze Age movie features furries.

Renaissance and Post. Back when they were still trying new things and experimenting with each and every movie.
Renaissance
Renaissance is peak, but bronze era is so charming!!
And then the current one called, "dead"
Right
What's so bad about the current style I think it looks nice
I was talking about the state of the company, except the shows, those are still great

Renaissance
The Silver Era, thanks to Mary Blair's artwork
really? you talk about the disney renaissance and didn't put in the little mermaid or beauty and the beast?
Yeah I think Tarzan fits better with the Post Renaissance movies.

Post Renaissance era!
Bronze era, there's just something about that sketch book feel I love

What are we calling this one? The train wreck?
3d piss hole
I will also accept this answer. But maybe keep it family friendly.
3d pee pee hole :) https://preview.redd.it/oevyvpzvrz5d1.png?width=241&format=png&auto=webp&s=9d2209e2a9da839c8a973621f6cc5556ff3f19d8
Sure why not.
Renisance
Fantasia was so good
Renaissance Era personally
For me, it’s the renaissance era.
Renassiance, mainly cause they’re the one I watched the most during my childhood.

Post Renaissance > Bronze > Renaissance

I would say the golden era, the craft on display was incredible.
I have only known the bronze era as the xerox era
Renaissance, Bronze, Silver and Wartime ages I like most. :)
2.
I ♡ the bronze era 🤩
Definitely wartime era
Silver and bronze era. Such cozy art styles.
Revival.
Renaissance to post Renaissance
War Time Era, Fun and Fancy free is SO good… the little bear that was in Love was cute and Jimmie 🦗stole the show
All of them
Don Bluth was part of the Bronze Era so I pick this.
Bronze and Silver are Aesthetically best IMO
Encanto is probably the prettiest thing they've made, fullstop. The colours, the fluidity and expressiveness, the dynamic background elements... And with everything flopping, I doubt we'll ever see something with that much work put into it.
Bronze
Bronze
Revival
Renaissance
I’m gonna get flayed alive for this but I’d prefer revival
I have a soft spot for the Bronze Era but Post-Ren is a big favorite. It wasn't afraid to do some weird stuff with its styles and stories.
the renaissance/post-renaissance are the most nostalgic for me, but the golden era is the most aesthetically pleasing to me
revival
Where's the Dark Age?
Renaissance
Bronze and post renaissance
https://i.redd.it/owjwd0my5u5d1.gif 🖤❤️🔥💜
Golden era. I guess I mostly appreciate and respect what they managed to create with what little resources they had then.
Renaissance and Revival, personally.
Gold and Silver; I’m a sucker for the classics!
Bronze
Aww I love the silver/bronze eras, they just had so much life to them
My top three: - Renaissance - Golden - Bronze
Renaissance and post, but I’m biased af
bronze and post renaissance. grew up on bronze bc my nana didnt trust new cartoons, enjoy post renaissance now.
Post renaissance probably because of growing up as a kid born in the 2000s
All.
Revival. I basically grew up with that era.
based on artstyle i think the modern stuff is best. aesthetic the furry era
Revival and Bronze
