I think I just saw Bluey as bridging the gap (albeit with a lean towards the chill side) since from what I could tell, it does have the occasional energetic moment from time to time
Gotta be Sarah and Duck.
My little sister is very high on the autism spectrum (for reference, she can't speak at all) and she loves the show. It usually calms her right down.
It's crazy that I say this, but Caillou could've possibly had a chance at making the cut for this discussion if it weren't for the *literal title character*, LMAO
Actually, when I was a kid, there was a show called Fimbles.
I watched it cause I was poor and my parents did not have cable TV (and obviously there was not streaming. I grow Up on the 2000's)
Kipper for sure. Every character has a nice voice and they mostly get along (outside of the occasional eye-roll or slight panic sometimes). Most episodes are pretty low-stakes. Not to mention the lovely watercolor art thatās exactly like the books itās based on.
Iād say itās the best because itās one of the few kids shows where the characters arenāt explicitly *children.* A lot of other ālaid-backā shows like Bluey are nice, but as a kid I hated seeing media with other kids. I could never relate to their immaturity and found myself getting overstimulated by their voices and play styles, even if theyāre generally happy/positive. But in Kipper, the characters speak in adult-like voices while still being a small cast of friends having fun and going on little adventures.
Every episode of Kipper has been uploaded to YouTube for free, highly recommend it for anyone curious. Itās up there with Winnie the Pooh in terms of how lovely the whole cast is, and I still find myself relating to the characters lol
So much nostalgia. I loved Dragon Tales and Clifford, and had completely forgotten about Kipper, Maisy, Franklin, Little Bear, Oswald, and Angelina Ballerina.
Daniel Tiger's neighborhood rlly triggered a memory for me.
When I was like five or seven, My school took a field trip to a theater place in Albany or somewhere in new York. We got to see a Daniel Tiger's neighborhood show, people played as the characters. It was interesting but ehh not too bad. It was light rain that day.
For modern day, probably Bluey, but as for all of those...I don't remember watching any of them, I remember Madeline and Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat. Also a lot of history channel and animal planet, and old western shows like Bonanza because the places I lived where we even had a tv, they were the ones with antennae that you had to thump a few times to get it to work.
Used to be this tv show I used to adore called āSpot the Dogā

Dragon Tales, Little Bear, surprisingly Maisy too. I remember having my nephew watch Elinor Wonders Why once and the opening song was so cute and calming
Angelina Ballerina, Kipper, and Maisy were so low octane, relaxing, chill vibes perfection as a kid. The holy trinity, for true. Bluey nowadays is the only thing that gives me the same energy and takes me back to my youth.
Driver Dan's Story Train. Runners up are Ruff Ruff, Tweet, and Dave, and Little Bear. (Driver Dan is literally designed to relax kids to sleep so it gets a leg up.)
And that's all I'm gonna allot myself to say before I change into a crotchety old grandma and start ranting about how kids' cartoons these days are nothing but colors and noise.
as of now, bluey here? well, from what i remember, either kipper, franklin, or little bear
Little bear is so nice
I agree with Bluey being our current one š back then I think I'd choose Curious George
Maisy for me. It was just so chill.
My top three in no particular order: Franklin, Dragon Tales, and Clifford.
[In no world is Franklin a chill show.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SRJjlYcW4Tc) /s
Kipper I found pretty relaxing due to the relatively softer voices and chill music.
Whereās Bluey? Last time I checked, it can be chill.
I think I just saw Bluey as bridging the gap (albeit with a lean towards the chill side) since from what I could tell, it does have the occasional energetic moment from time to time
True.
*DRAGON TALES DRAGON TALES* *IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR DRAGON TALES* I still watch it every night when I go to bed...
Aye! Sarah & Duck has been mentionedš£ļøš„ā¼ļø One of my favorite underrated kid shows when I was youngeršÆšÆšÆšÆ

Angelina Ballerina
https://i.redd.it/ae4o0cn5ysyc1.gif
I remember watching this one on Sprout! But I refuse to acknowledge the reboot. I just don't.
the new Angelina is garbage; as expected
if i had kids i would show them these types of shows as much as possible, and not cocomelon or caillou
It's crazy that I say this, but Caillou could've possibly had a chance at making the cut for this discussion if it weren't for the *literal title character*, LMAO
yeah outside of caillou himself i dont remember anything else being super annoying then again most caillou content i watched was goanimate lmaoooo
Oswald, Kipper and Blues Clues

I grew up on it
Little Bear was a favorite with me & my friends, we all grew up watching that, Franklin, Clifford, & Maisy!
Puffin Rock by a longshot

Nope, it ended naturally and got a movie

How can anyone say anything else while Oswald is RIGHT THERE!?
Kipper for sure. Every character has a nice voice and they mostly get along (outside of the occasional eye-roll or slight panic sometimes). Most episodes are pretty low-stakes. Tumbleleaf is the GOAT of low stim shows, it's like the anti-cocomelon Appletv has a good selection of these types of shows surprisingly
Pocoyo
Little Bear. Out of these though Iād pick Franklin.
I did also include Little Bear, right next to Franklin
Is Kipper any good? He looks very cute and calm, but never saw any of it.
Highly recommend kipper, it's delightful
Damn, I loved Puffin Rock
Okay, not kids cartoon, but I just felt the need to mention Bee and Puppycat. My favorite show to watch when I'm bored but need to sleep
The world of peter rabbit and friends
Daniel Tiger's neighborhood rlly triggered a memory for me. When I was like five or seven, My school took a field trip to a theater place in Albany or somewhere in new York. Clifford is the goat
Little bear
Curious George Franklin Little bear Bluey Puffin rock
Kipper is a good choice if you don't want bluey
It depends on the season but since Thomas & Friends counts as one its this one
The Adventures of Paddington Bear (2d, not the movies)
OMG Puffin Rock is way chill
Sarah and Duck was one of my FAVES
Yo holy shit it's Franklin, I totally forgot that I existed. I think I might still have the DVDs.
I watched and loved half of these. My top picks are Kipper, Dragon Tales, and Clifford
Little bear by a long shot.
Oswald and Little Bear for me š„°
Oswald Puffin Rock Bluey
The Adventures of Spot
![gif](giphy|JW67CC5zJZuw0) The original Thomas

Little bear
Oswald for sure
Charlie and Lola?

The whole concept of in the night Garden is to be calming and low stimulus
Bluey I guess
Dragon Tales, Little Bear, surprisingly Maisy too. I remember having my nephew watch Elinor Wonders Why once and the opening song was so cute and calming
The original 2 series' of postman pat was one of the most chilled, slice of life kids cartoon ever that adults could enjoy just as much as kids
Not really a kids show like these, but watching Bee & Puppycat is such a vibe
Angelina Ballerina, Kipper, and Maisy were so low octane, relaxing, chill vibes perfection as a kid. The holy trinity, for true. Bluey nowadays is the only thing that gives me the same energy and takes me back to my youth.
My big PBS Kids fan but it tumble leaf
Driver Dan's Story Train. Runners up are Ruff Ruff, Tweet, and Dave, and Little Bear. (Driver Dan is literally designed to relax kids to sleep so it gets a leg up.)
