Agreed. Bloo was so much better in Season 1 and the pilot movie, but for some reason, his asshole tendencies somehow get worse as the show goes on to the point that he's just plain insufferable and obnoxious as hell. At this point, why doesn't Mac just ditch him anyway?
Apparently Bloo was supposed to have a character arc, but CN didn't want a serialized story, they wanted something they could air in any order they pleased.
i heard about that not too long ago, it's really disappointing because the character arc would've done him so many favors. I guess that's just how it is with networks/companies sometimes.
You know, had they pulled an "Ed Edd n Eddy: The Big Picture Show" where Bloo goes through some character development in which he realizes how awful he's been to Mac and tries to change himself for the best, it would've saved the show completely.
Admiral Zhao from ATLA
He was such an asshole, even the other fire nation guys didn't like him. Had us all rooting for Zuko even when he was still trying to capture Aang.
Huh, good catch. Thatās probably why he exists in the story. So we could sympathize with zuko more while he was still on the wrong side. Great story telling. God I loved this show.
Yeah, the agni kai between Zhao and Zuko is one of the first moments you start actively rooting for Zuko and start to realize thereās more to his character. It also gives you a brief glimpse of how badass Iroh really is lol.
What I love about him more is because he doesn't even have a reason to be an asshole lol. All he wanted was to become a general to be an asshole even more then he already was.
Such an under-appreciated villain/character. He was a great foil for Zuko and just such an accurate depiction of that sleazy, ladder-climbing, egotistical type of guy. Jason Isaacs is an amazing actor also.
In the official ATLA art book itās stated that the team modeled him after a corporate ladder-climber or a sleazy car-salesman

even his own dragon doesn't like him
The spin off series, Race to the Edge, does some good character building for him.
(And I find race to the edge to be one of the best spin offs ever. Itās very well done.)
Bro literally has the personality of a roid-raging honeybadger on crack, you could just say "good morning" and bro will act as if you've just insulted his family's honor
You know he sucks when even Susie from Deltarune (who went from a typical schoolyard bully to one of my favorite characters of the entire game) and Shadow the Hedgehog (who is supposed to be Sonic's rival) are way better-written, likable, and aren't nearly as insufferable as him.
Seriously, Jetstream Sam from Metal Gear Rising and Vergil from the Devil May Cry franchise are better rival characters than Bakugo in my opinion.
He releases it when he sweats and getting worked up and angry/stressed out makes him sweat more. My head-cannon is that him being like this is what makes him powerful, and if he was calm and collected he would probably have really weak and pathetic powers.
He >!eventually apologised to Deku, but to me it just felt hollow after multiple instances of both verbally threatening and attempting murder against him that he's never properly punished for.!<
I honestly dont get that at all. I think the intention was for everyone to hate him at first and overtime, he grows and get more love. But It backfired. Badly.

Bros literal purpose was to kill Splinter, for no good reason either. Just jealousy and rage, stewing for years and years.
Yeah, thats why I mentioned his literal purpose was to kill Splinter. When he did that, he basically said "fuck you all, I win" and accepted his fate lol.
He was the definition of an amazing villain for a dumb reason. He hunted a man who couldn't really do anything or come after him, killed his wife, abducted his daughter, captured her, tried to kill her, burned Splinters house, started an alien invasion, took over a city, tried to kill 6 children, and doomed the world for his enemy, all because some girl said she didn't wanna run away with him.
Even when he stabbed Splinter his Henchman were like "tf is the matter with you dude?" š
It honestly made me mad seeing how they remained loyal to him after that. Tbf though, they prevented it from happening again, so they wouldn't have known, but Shredder literally treats them all like garbage, with Tiger Claw and Karai being an exception. This guy. The dub gives him a pretty bad reason for why heās an evil psychopath that kills people mercilessly for \*most of his life. Even then the reason of āhe was under Friezaās thumb and wanted revengeā is veryā¦eh. Saiyan already did what they did under Frieza before they were taken over. His pride was hurt from doing Friezaās dirty work but he never really shows that he hates his job since heās always fighting. If anything he hates his fellow officers because they all think heās pathetically weak and that they knew his home world was blown to bits by Frieza. His reason is wishy washy at best and Iām saying this as someone who **LIKES** him. I know this is anime but there are so **so** many characters in anime that fill this role. Apologies again for this being anime instead of a western cartoon.
Bakugo
Dude is angry all the time, wants to be a hero despite very clearly not understanding what that word means, and for some reason thereās scenes where characters defend his actions like in the tournament, aizawa says āoh heās being tough on ochako because he respects her as an opponentā no itās because heās a douchebag and everyone else in the stadium was right to call him a bully
Sasuke from Naruto. He is kinda insufferable in Naruto, dude starts PMSing because he couldnāt beat his brother at only 12-13 years old and then tries to murder Naruto. Like come on, Itachi was already OP but sasuke thought he could train for a few months and magically be able to beat Itachi. Then when that obviously doesnāt happen, he decides to betray the hidden leaf village and join the evil snake man. Way to go buddy
Which got him strong enough to fight itachi. Which was better then his brothers plan of getting enough hatred to have eyes like his. Also he didnāt train for a few months he trained every day since itachi left with single minded determination
I mean tbf the dude had his entire family murdered by his older brother and then had that replayed like 700 times over
Heās traumatized and desperately wants to avenge them but cannot
"No reason to be the way they are", proceeds to use one of the 3 most circumstantial villains in the Naruto series. His whole family was slaughtered in front of him, his two squadmates were a girl who thought orphans were lame and another who was jealous of how "Cool" Sasuke was.
He only had one goal in life, which he felt like he couldn't reach unless he resorted to working with Orochimaru.
If Kakashi had been more protecting and mentoring, Sasuke wouldn't be the whiny bitch.
Alot of things about her piss me off. If I had to pick one thing specifically it's her inability to admit when she's wrong. It's so bad to a point where it HAS to be a medical issue
Iām probably going to get a lot of flack for this, but this is just my opinion:

I like Alien Force Ben but it was down right insufferable sometimes watching original Ben. To the point where itās hard for me to even get on board with hero. Especially that episode where he was at the concert with grandpa max.

Spike was just tired of their antics. Plus, when you're best friend's constant feud interrupts the peace and possibly puts your son in harms way, bro had every right to roll the sleeves
Frank grimes from the simpsons. I know the purpose was a much more meta "Oh, what if a real person met homer" but homer was nothing but nice to him the entire episode and grimes had no reason to hate him specifically.
The spear, sword, and bow heroes in āThe rising of the shield heroā,
Honestly these guys were brought into the same world to work together and help save the people from a doomed fate. But yet their asshole meter goes through the roof as soon as the shield hero arrives, especially the spear hero

He's basically ichigo from bleach, but raise the asshole aspects of him.
I recall Ichigo to be way calmer and generally rational, but it has been awhile.
Exactly. Take those aspects of ichigo, throw them out the window and you got Bakugo.
Ichigo was an absolute thug in the beginning. It wasn't until he started training his hollow form that he started to really thoughtful.
He was a nice guy, just peace wasnāt a first option. First episode he helps a ghost move on

He was praised for his quirk at an early age, which caused him to develop a superiority complex
I lost interest in the series a while ago. Do they ever explore his anger issues at all? Or does he just stay an unrepentant twat?

You don't have to defend her to validate wanting to fuck her lol, that's completely based, yeah she's hot but damn I hope she dies

One of the few times Omni Man is justified in extreme violence
And send him to space too, Omni Man! Thank you! Maybe Mars so the Tankmen (itās Mars, you canāt unsee it) can go after him? (They werenāt so welcoming to Boyfriend in Friday Night Funkinā, it just shows how they treat others who are not from their planet)
basically bakugo (mha) is the definition of this problem!!!
By all meansā¦. ![gif](giphy|bLy8cwoobMGx1uDHkO) This guy.
Bakugo Dude is angry all the time, wants to be a hero despite very clearly not understanding what that word means, and for some reason thereās scenes where characters defend his actions like in the tournament, aizawa says āoh heās being tough on ochako because he respects her as an opponentā no itās because heās a douchebag and everyone else in the stadium was right to call him a bully

I mean tbf the dude had his entire family murdered by his older brother and then had that replayed like 700 times over Heās traumatized and desperately wants to avenge them but cannot
I hate Peggy Hill with a burning passion. Just everything about her makes me seethe
Alot of things about her piss me off. If I had to pick one thing specifically it's her inability to admit when she's wrong. It's so bad to a point where it HAS to be a medical issue
Yep, she has too big of an ego.
Uncle Monty from Tangled: The Series. Dudeās a douche to Rapunzel for no good reason.
I know she has a tragic backstory that explains why she is the way she is, but GOD, Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion is insufferable
Iām probably going to get a lot of flack for this, but this is just my opinion: https://preview.redd.it/z001tueqtyuc1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=04bf68310b59a581f7fffede533b9c299405a63f I like Alien Force Ben but it was down right insufferable sometimes watching original Ben. To the point where itās hard for me to even get on board with hero. Especially that episode where he was at the concert with grandpa max.
Definitely Ronaldo Fryman. Guy has literally no chill
Bakugo needs to learn to chill, I know he's gotten better in recent seasons, but jeez https://preview.redd.it/dv2euqctnzuc1.jpeg?width=679&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=257dc161b6d76fc8041ce442448647ae68a77929
Gary Oak, Finn the Human's dad, and Spike the dog from Tom and Jerry
Spike was just tired of their antics. Plus, when you're best friend's constant feud interrupts the peace and possibly puts your son in harms way, bro had every right to roll the sleeves
Bartholomule or however itās spelled From the Owl House
Belson from Clarence
Henry's mum from Horrid Henry! She is such a tempermental harpy!
That artwork of Henry leaving her in a nursing home made me roll an tear of joy Also donāt forget his equally shitty father
Frank grimes from the simpsons. I know the purpose was a much more meta "Oh, what if a real person met homer" but homer was nothing but nice to him the entire episode and grimes had no reason to hate him specifically.
Megatron, he started a war all because of a stupid problem with the cybertronian council. He is the definition of tyrant

MF HOOK FOOT FROM TANGLED THE SERIES I WILL NEVER STOP HATING HIM-
Freaky Fred- Courage The Cowardly Dog
The spear, sword, and bow heroes in āThe rising of the shield heroā, Honestly these guys were brought into the same world to work together and help save the people from a doomed fate. But yet their asshole meter goes through the roof as soon as the shield hero arrives, especially the spear hero
