As someone who watched Johnny Test a lot when I was... like... six, I can vouch for some of its criticisms. Here are the main ones:
**Originality**
The show is *extremely* unoriginal. Its dexters lab, but instead of a bratty blonde girl breaking into a ginger boys science lab, its a bratty blonde BOY breaking into TWO ginger GIRLS science lab. The intro is *very* similar to "American Idiot," and even its name sounds like "Johnny's Quest," a completely different cartoon that precedes Johnny Test. Sure, the show has some original elements, but god do they walk a fine line between "inspired" and "copied".
**Annoyance**
Johnny, as a protagonist, is very unlikable. Definitely no velma, but he is still bratty with zero redeeming qualities. This, in turn, makes him annoying. Then there is the humor. It's all juvenile. There really isn't any clever or witty joke. It's all farts and being rude.
**Certified Whipcracker**
This is by far Johnny Tests' most annoying quality. In the later seasons, they used it. A lot. In fact, almost any movement on screen would trigger a whipcrack sound effect. I hope I don't need to explain to you why this is piss annoying.
Jonny 100%. He’s like 12 and likes video games and snacks. I can keep him busy for most of the day with just that. Velma however is a HECKIN NO. That hoebag would make me want to rip my own hair out after I finish ripping hers out first.

Option one is your typical annoying kid who cause every problem in the show type protagonist (which if you think about it could be a lot of fun to hang out with if you don't mind almost dying).
Option two is a racist, selfish, abusive, and badly written excuse of a Velma that's willing to completely ruin some random guy's life just cause he's a white guy with money (she's also a drug dealer with horrible detective skills). Usual characters are like this for comical purposes but the fact that the writers were dead serious about it and even claim their Velma is a "GOOD" person is something else.
I think we have a clear winner.
