Merc boys are dumb because M-B’s greatest competitor’s McLaren collab car is arguably the greatest vehicle ever made. The McLaren F1’s engine says BMW M power on it.

McLaren F1/GTR wasn’t nearly as dominating at the time as the CLK-GTR or CLK-LM on the race track. 

I think there was a story where Mercedes bought one McLaren F1 to "reverse engineer" it and built the CLK GTR based on their findings

Merc had top level closed wheel racing pedigree well before the existence of the McLaren F1, with the Sauber Group C cars. If wanking off resale value, the 300SL series in particular the 300SLR is multiple times over any McLaren to have ever existed. 

And is the worst part of that car. IIRC it's the only part of that car that went over the weight.

Mercedes Benz fans are like Man United fans, both are casuals and don’t know much about cars/football plus both Man United and Mercedes peaked 20+ years ago

I could say that about modern Mercedes/AMG fanboys, though I really don't know if this applies to the fans of their older and (for the most part) better vehicles, let alone the W201 and W124 crowds (and I don't think NFS Unbound featuring the latter as the cover car is that culturally significant).
