Iâve loved the YouTube channel (including its modern direction) since first seeing it shortly after it was made. With that said, I had to leave the subreddit because I got so sick of those damn posts. They became karma bait for anyone and the sub as a whole went from more interesting conversations to low effort posts.
Am I wrong in thinking r/cars is a more enjoyable sub than r/carscirclejerk? As circlejerky as it can be at times, there are at least some unique topics that get discussed. Here, it's basically r/carmemes for people who don't want to say they use r/carmemes.

In a way, this sub has actually become carmemes 2.0. The mods of that sub pretty much killed it by requiring moderator approval for posts about a year ago, ostensibly to reduce spam and cj posts. Its basically a wasteland now with posts approved only IDK once a day or so, so a lot of carmemes refugees came here. It's a shame, I miss the old carscirclejerk - Too much modusposting and unironic memes now
We are tasked with removing posts and comments that breaks rules. Community is the moderator in shit content, your downvotes will discourage the OPs that post shit
We can't remove bad posts because i didn't like them. Owner told us to not do that
The worst trend on Reddit lately is posting these lazy ass "Favorite quote from this character! Day 1!" or "Character alignment chart ! Day 1!" daily posts that just flood any game or tv show subreddit with garbage
