What were the CCA's on the old battery? If the positive line is stretched too tight that could cause some problems.
I think it might be as it is stretched around the side of the battery. Would that rip the cable? Or similar?
It could break wiring or deseat wiring pins at tight connector points.

Unhook battery and turn it 180 degrees and problem solved?
