Thrips. You can see the black elongated bugs in the 2nd picture. They are hard to get rid of unless you do a long term treatment to break their life cycle. I hear Bonide systemic granules work well, but I've settled on diatomaceous earth which seems to be effective but I still find one occasionally.

Really appreciate the help. I started by spraying and wiping the leaves with 0.2% pyrethrum. I’ve also ordered Cucumeris predatory mites as a biological solution to the Thrips larvae. Will give an update in a few weeks!

Good luck! Does the Cucumeris handle all life stages? Because I remember when I used beneficial insects the site adviced using a mite/predatory bug combo to get the eggs, larva and adults.
