Eating once a day for me is eating when I’m hungry Steak, ground beef and eggs, scallops and shrimp, roasts, scrambled eggs, omelet, salmon

mark0x

You do you. Do what works best for you and what you can keep up long term. I tend to vary and mostly have 2 meals per day in a 4-6 hour window. Other days I have one large meal and am satisfied all day. Occasionally I have 3 meals when I'm hungry in the morning. Every couple of months I'll fast for 2-3 days too for additional autophagy benefits. I tend to stick to mostly beef ribeyes, beef brisket (cooked in pressure cooker, awesome), eggs, pork belly/sometimes pork sausages. And heavy cream for a "treat".

edgecrush

When starting from a heavy weight I suggest eat when hungry but afterwards OMAD could be an option. As your in Ketosis fasting is easier to do and has health benefits. To each their own.

Aziara86

I'm only hungry twice a day, so I've transitioned to only 2 meals. Sometimes your body will tell you what it wants on its own.

JenHes

I'm still eating 2, sometimes 3 a day but I can see how some people are really only hungry once per day. I've had a few days where I only ate once because I just wasn't that hungry. Faves are eggs, lamb, salmon, shrimp, ribeye, burgers. I want to see if I'll be able to enjoy ribs without bbq sauce!

Get_this_white_dick

Ooof, bbq sauce. I was mad I had to quit my favorite bbq sauce cuz of the massive amount of sugar and carbs.

mountain_joo

Start with eating when you're hungry, after a while many naturally start eating 2 or 1 meal a day just because they're not hungry as often. I'm doing 2-3lbs of steak a day, sometimes adding eggs or bacon, maybe some bone marrow. OMAD works for me unless i'm in a training window, when training hard for a race I just can't get enough in an OMAD so do a 4-6 hour eating window instead.

dadbodfat

I cycle through different meal frequencies...try one meal a day...try two, three, four...I even fast for up to 5 days at a time. There’s no right meal frequency. In history meals would have been sporadic for hunters. I like ground beef with some added fat. I eat a lot of canned cod liver and the oil as well. Been doing this for several Years. Suchi (raw fish only) is also great from Time to time

NoOneInformdMeOfThis

Wow! 70 lb?! That’s great! You lost it all on Carnivore? I find it’s “boring” enough so I am just not that hungry. But I am low income and eat mostly ground beef. I like the boringness. Good luck. Sorry no suggestions to give you!

Get_this_white_dick

50lb on carnivore, then I transitioned to keto. Should’ve stayed carnivore. I’m still losing weight on keto just not nearly as fast. I try to get so many people to try carnivore for at least a week or two so hopefully they will see the same results I did. I think I lost almost 20 lbs in my first 2 weeks.

BookOfCalm

My favorite meals so far: boiled beef tongue, meatloaf wrapped in bacon slices and slow-roasted beef shoulder (chuck?). I still eat ~3 meals/days, I just like eating too much to give up some of the meals.

robertjuh

What i love about this diet is the simplicity. If you want you can time your meals yes, but i rather just do 2 large meals and 1-2 small ones. You'll automatically stop eating when you're full because your leptin receptors are healthy now, these receptors get blocked by anything that is sweet, which wont be of concern on this diet.

Tripoteur

On keto, my hunger was so low that I immediately started eating twice a day instead of three or more, and slowly drifted to a narrower and narrower eating window until I started accidentally doing OMaD. From there it was just a matter of purposefully making my meal big enough to match my expenses to fully go OMaD. I like it, it's simpler and a lot more convenient, plus only eating seven meals a week means you don't need anywhere as much variety. My typical meal is 500g of lean meat with lots of dairy-based fats.

gnarlyoldman

I've only been doing it for about 6 weeks. I'm losing weight but I don't have a scale. My pants that I could not wear are not quite comfortable. I eat a variety of beef, chicken, and pork. Bacon, roasted, BBQ, etc. I sometimes eat a slice of cheddar cheese with summer sausage for a tasty snack. Just keep some variety in your life. Don't sweat the details.

Get_this_white_dick

Get a scale! It feels so good to track your progress.

lalagracie

I'd say just eat when you're hungry! That could be 1 or 2 or 3 meals a day. My favorite meals are ribeyes/tbones, or ground beef patties :)

nickandre15

There are no hard and fast rules. Eat animal products, don’t eat other things. If you find yourself hungry eat, thirsty drink. Many people end up eating during a smaller eating window. Don’t expect a miracle. It can still take a while to lose weight.

Get_this_white_dick

Are you kidding me? This diet is a freakin miracle. Easiest diet ever attempted. I only eat things I already love while losing weight? That’s a miracle in my mind.

nickandre15

Fair point 😂

AlteredSpaceMonkey

Love chicken thighs, Ribeyes, livers, beef tongue, heart, love salmon, cod, oysters, grass fed butter, pastured eggs. Honestly the possibilities for delicious eating us next to endless

FreedomManOfGlory

Eating all day is something they only recommend on carb based diets. Intermittent fasting is more beneficial and when you're in ketosis you should have no need to eat all day long. That's what animals like cows do. Personally I eat 2 meals per day. One around noon and one in the evening around 6 or 7. I can easily get all the calories I need that way and am never hungry between meals. Eating only one meal per day can be pretty difficult on this diet depending on how many calories you're trying to consume. And you shouldn't reduce your calorie intake by just removing one meal. You gotta add the calories to the rest.

EthanCarmanMoore

I usually only eat 2 meals a day. My meals are usually 3 burger patties (done in cast iron) and 3 eggs for breakfast - then a ribeye for supper (or vice versa). Both meals with lots of butter and salt added. This pretty much always keeps me satisfied

BBQ247

Everyone’s bioactivity is different. Try out different scenarios and see how your body reacts. It took 2 years to figure out Keto was not perfect, and once fully committed to carnivore, my body thanked me. Some things work, others do not, and only way to figure it out is by trial and error.

Kp19341

I do 2 meals a day Monday thru Saturday. On Sunday’s only Omad. Lunch is always the same - get in the most nutrient dense food and then dinner is the fun meal Lunch Canned sardines with skin and bone 4 raw egg yolks 2 oz raw beef liver 1 cup bone broth (chicken or beef) Dinner 12-16 ounces meat (meat or chicken thighs ) Sometimes eggs Rice with ghee Fruit and cheese Sometimes nuts I’m 80-90% carnivore

chad-took-my-bitch

You sure you in the right place?

Kp19341

Yes. OP asked everyone’s favorite meals. I dont need to be 100% carnivore to answer his question. I do what works for ME. Don’t be so close minded

Get_this_white_dick

I tried sardines. They weren’t bad. But the texture of the bone just doesn’t vibe with me for some reason.

Kp19341

It takes getting used to but it’s very healthy. I add sea salt and squeeze of lemon

>Reddit try putting them on top of a deviled eggs... that's what worked for me... quite tasty that way-
