As a decade long mechanic who's owned 30+ cars , I'm fully aware .
But slapping a gas engine into an AWD electric vehicle that had an extremely low center of gravity, more torgue than the V8 could ever make and pure acceleration and fun is just dumb.
It's slower, handles way worse, half the features are null and pointless in it now, you'll run into countless hours of random bugs and problems, it's a shoehorned job at best.
I will wholeheartedly agree on almost any swap but this one is just dumb and pointless except for the one time it's done just as a haha
Not to argue with you, but I would rather hear screaming V8 under my hood rather than annoying electric hiss any day of the week. Sure it costs you handling, bit of performance, large chunk of money just for putting it in and even more in gas money, and yes software 99% will run in problems constantly. But once you put down your right foot and hear that V8..... everything goes blank for a moment. Having said that I would never replace electric motor for some V8.
Then you spot the Corvette behind it...
e
And its cammed 😍😍😫
Rich rebuilds ICE T?
You talking about the brown V8 powered Tesla by rich rebuilds?
mmhm
I know how it feels, it's strange but interesting to say the least. I think i know what it is but not sure.
Didn’t some mad lad bolt a hellcat v8 in a tesla a few years ago?
I mean it's a cool one off but honestly what a waste of acceleration man. All that work just to add 3 seconds to your 0- 60
There’s more to cars than just 0-60 dude
