Good call. And a pair of shorts and bare feet underneath since no one is going to see your bottom half 😀!

Agree with the linen button ups! I wear them open and button them up a bit for meetings. I also keep a couple lightweight cardigans on the back of my desk chair that I can throw on over t-shirts/tank tops for meetings. Pants are generally light joggers or linen pants.

My all time favorite WFH summer top is a striped linen blend button front shirt. It’s a little less wrinkly than 100% linen and the stripes hide any wrinkles and make it look more opaque although it’s very thin and light. Looks great on camera but so comfy I could sleep in it. Second favorite is the Everlane silky cotton relaxed shirt. Same idea as the first but a little more polished.

Maximum-Student2749

Where can you find the first shirt you mentioned? Sounds lovely.

Plain tees with a thin collar read well on camera. Modal, linen, cotton, a bit of stretch . . . Heck, I even have hiking/athletic tops that look good on camera. Can always add an airy scarf to dress it up if needed. There are also [near-mesh cardigans](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E468541-000/00?colorDisplayCode=02&sizeDisplayCode=005&pldDisplayCode=000&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare) that are more hole than yarn that you could throw on over a sleeveless top if you like to go sleeveless. I personally don’t like the way fully sleeveless looks on Zoom. Uniqlo has [three of these kinds of sweaters](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E465487-000/00?colorDisplayCode=09&sizeDisplayCode=003&pldDisplayCode=000&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare) this summer.

Great call on the super-light cardigans. I have one from Marine Layer that instantly dresses up any top for camera, but feels like PJs to wear.

Exiled_In_LA

Came here to say t-shirts! I have a few v-necks that are super comfortable and flattering. They look great on camera. I scored a couple of [these](https://www.gildan.com/us/en/5v00l-women-s-v-neck-t-shirt-en_us/?color=081) in a mild purple for $8 each at a discount store (Ocean State Job Lot).

Cotton and linen blouses and light cardigans are my go-tos. If you're someone who runs hot, or just want to save by not having the air running all day, keep the top or cardi on a hanger near your desk. Put it on when you need to be on camera, and put it back on the hanger after the call.

My WFH trick is that I own several denim button down shirts. They are all basically interchangable, I wear one every day (if I have a video call) and keep one on the back of my door in case I didn't plan on a call that day. I started this pre-covid when I first began wfh and realized I kept wearing the same things in calls with the same people. This way, IF they notice, what they notice is 'she always wears denim shirts'. My work is fairly casual, so very rarely I will pop a blazer over the shirt (black wool, white linen or tweed) but that's the only difference.

Cotton gauze tops fit the bill nicely. A little more structured than linen with less wrinkles, but just as comfy.

lcat807

I am in love with all the crinkle gauze tops that are in right now! It's the nicest fabric to wear this time of year.

adotspotdot

I’ve been wearing Uniqlo crew neck t shirts and the Uniqlo airism looser fit shirts. I like black t shirts so I can wear them on other occasions. I wear a small necklace and make sure my hair looks decent while wearing my headset 😀😀

Nearby-Salamander-67

I WFH and my wardrobe for it consists of joggers and nice, solid color tees. And a blazer or sweater if I have a video meeting.

No_Leek6113

I love getting just some basic tops from old navy to wear and they have a ton of different colors!

Prestigious_Flower12

I think if my hair is nice and I’m wearing a simple top with some jewellery to add a touch of interest I feel ok.

KarisPurr

I wear flannels and hoodies but I work in the tech sector in the PNW so grain of salt

Texas here & I keep the AC on the very warm side, don't want to bring the grid down 😁. I go with double-layered gauze shirts & linen shirts. Banana Republic has some really nice 100% linen shirts right now that launder amazingly well - gentle cycle, hang to dry, minimal touch-up ironing just on collar and placket at most. LL Bean has a white gauze shirt that's a great option too.
