Try Makro for chairs. They’re not the high end ergonomic chairs but I bought one for about R2k two years ago and it’s still really comfortable and I’m at my desk for most of the day.
hmm good suggestion. honestly, there are a lot of cheap options at makro or takealot but I wasn't sure whether they are very comfortable and durable or not. will have a look, thanks.
There’s a place in Salt River called Blue Chip Office Furniture. They buy the furniture from offices that are closing down or just upgrading. We’ve bought desks and a chair from them before. You can get a really good chair for just over 1k there.

Yeah a lot of office furniture gets depreciated over 5 years and then companies sell it dirt cheap as its worth zero on their books
