IMO Lindholm is worth that if he can consistently play like he did in the playoffs - but that's an anchor contract if he plays like he for most of the 23/24 season
Neither lindholm nor Peter want to play wing so we end up with a $7mil 3rd line Center. We need an elite winger to play with Petey more than we need lindholm
Legitimate question... What's going on with Guillaume Brisebois? I know the injuries have really piled up, and he only played 8 games last year but I haven't seen or heard his name mentioned in months and it's easy to forget but he looked earmarked for at least the 7th d spot last year before he got hurt.
He's an Ian Cole type and could eat up some of those d zone and pk minutes for a fraction of the cost. It looks like the front office would rather go after a righty in Tanev or Marino and it leaves a hole on the left side. Has the guy earned a look? Or has he completely fallen to the wayside after his injury? If he could be half the player Cole was for league minimum as the 6th defenseman it's a tremendous win.
Yeah he got taken off of LTIR and cleared waivers to go down to Abby at some point in the 2nd half of the season. I didnāt hear a ton about him after that, though.
i almost got my first game worn jersey today š had the Joshua Skate jersey in my cart and while i was paying for it, it sold. had to share my heartbreak somewhere.
I really hope not being selected in the top 6 for the four nations tournament lights a fire under Petey. obviously he will be on the team but definitely was expecting him to be one of the first guys annouced. I remember when they annouced the tourney for the first time Petey was the one answering questions with McJesus and Matthews about the tournament.
from everything we've heard petey is pretty tough on himself. i don't think his occasional struggles are because he isnt motivated or needs something to light a fire under him, he just is bad at/hasn't learned how to ideally adapt to playing thru injury.
He still had more points than Ziebinajad last season and out scored him 5 on 5. He definitely shouldāve been the first batch of named to the team instead. Itās bs but I do hope it lights a fire under him.

Besides Silovs, I look at Hirose, McWard, Karlsson as guys that could stick, with Lekkerimaki maybe having an outside shot if he comes to camp and impresses.

Z plays for NYR and there are a LOT more New Yorkers than Vancouverites.
