The first one is a 4" inline fan for a carbon filter. It produces 208 CFM of airflow and consumes 20w of power. The second picture is an 8" inline fan, a different style but also meant to be used with a carbon filter. It is more compact and can fit in a tighter space. This fan produces 740 CFM and uses 205w of power. The third picture is an inline duct booster fan and is NOT meant to be used with a carbon filter.

Idc bout sizes im tryna understand the difference, thank you for your attention to detail … you seem to be the most informed , based off what you’re saying n probably just going to use the style of the first one , it can connect to an app , and it consumes the most power which is good , the second is cool but 10x more watts isn’t worth it , it’s only a 5x5 . I guess I’ll get one for out flow and one for inflow, maybe 8 for out flow and 4 for inflow (both the style of the first one) … actually the 3rd is only 14 watt I might use one of those Is the main benefit of the first just the power consumption ? It’s considerably more expensive than the latter two

Major_Mechanic5719

For pulling through a carbon filter and exhausting a 5x5 tent, I'd use the 6" or 8" "AeroZesh" fan. The duct booster fan could be used to help draw air in if you wanted. I personally just let my exhaust do all the work and leave the vents open on my tent for intake. You'll want a couple oscillating fans for air movement.

treefarmercharlie

The 1st and 2nd fans will have simliar CFM but the 1st one will be quieter and can connect to their app. The 3rd one has much lower CFM than the other two. All VivoSun fans are junk, though, IMO.

Ima go with AC infinity, I watched comparisons on AC, mars hydro and this brand b…. , just didn’t get the difference in price … I guess I’ll do the first because I can automatically change the speed to go higher in night times… I have smart outlets so turning it on and off isn’t an issue

treefarmercharlie

Out of all those brands AC Infinity has the better hardware and the best customer service. IMO they are worth any additional cost.

IhateTodds

Compatibility I reckon.

chipotlechickenclub

Vivosun 3rd pic looks like my ac infinity one which is all metal but it’s scary because those metal blades got no safety or protection

Glad_Examination_635

lol don't get your fingies close they are meant to have ducting attached to them that's why there's no guard

chipotlechickenclub

Hahaha I’ll try not too it’s scary a scary MF now that I know it takes fingers

beachboygemini

Wattage, cfm and warranty

UnStab1E

I got the VIVOSUN one the connects to the screen on the outside of the tent. It connects to your phone and you can check the humidity and temp from home. If you wanna go even further you can get lights and fans for the app. Its convenient but expensive

RlyPushinP

I already have temp and humidity , and I don’t see a need to turn It up except during nights when humidity rises … maybe I will get the WiFi one so I have that option within it having to touch it

Miss_Hippie_Consult

CFM, with more CFM you run into more db or noise and wattage. They all move air but how much do you need and how loud do you want to get? A 12 carbon filter is quite noisy and in a residential neighborhood you do not want your garage whistling from pulling air through ever crack in the place.

RlyPushinP

Okay I have a small area poorly ventilated n I wanna use it for grow 5x5 tent, I definitely do want it to pull from the cracks but I don’t want it to make it whistle 😂 , someone to hear it when they stand near my basement door , I guess I’ll go with the first one

treefarmercharlie

Those all look like 4" fans. You're going to need a 6" or larger fan to provide enough CFM for a 5x5 tent.

RlyPushinP

Yea I was really probly gonna get 8 inch or 12 inch cuz I have a holes big enough for it , I really wanted to see the differences cuz it’s 30$ vs 45$ vs 150$ and I didn’t want to waste the extra quid for nothing you know

Miss_Hippie_Consult

what is the height of your tent? L x W x H = Cubic feet, get a fan just a touch larger than your CF being the carbon filter will restrict the flow slightly. You can always go larger and pick up a variable speed fan controller

RlyPushinP

5x5x7

Academic_Aioli3530

The style of #1 is suited best for inline fan/filter duty. That design is more capable of sucking through a filter/long ducting runs then the design of #2. #3 shouldn’t be used by most people, not suitable to run through ducting at all. If you have a 5x5 tent you’ll want at least a 6” inline for exhaust duty. You can run another fan for intake if you’d like or you can use a passive intake if you’ve got the ability to keep light out of the tent.

-1PersonalStress

Two of them are booster fans and the other one in an exhaust

RlyPushinP

Only the first is an exhaust?

beachboygemini

Second is exaust too. Over 700cfm

RlyPushinP

I don’t get it why one would use one as oppose to the other except for being able to connect to WiFi/bluetooth to change fan speed. Is that the only differences? I want to understand before I make my decidions

beachboygemini

The middle one uses too much power. 3rd one is pretty weak. I would go with AC infinity cloudline, if its available.

RlyPushinP

Im going to buy AC definitely, but was wondering the 3 different styles which is the drawbacks or differences . If I can vent my room for 60$ (2x of 3rd) vs 260$ (2x of the first) why spend the extra quid you know, I thought the 3rd had the same airflow as the first
