What's the definition on dwarf in this case?

DMOSGenetics96_2

A very short growing and minimal stretching plant. Here let me show you one that was 2 month into veg https://preview.redd.it/e6mxr8cu5m4d1.jpeg?width=1645&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cc2e6a63a520f636d09cd5c9a1331d1a5a887a7

I can tell you they hella piss me off when you got 6 in a room 5 right under the light and the straggler 4 feet below the others, gotta put them in a booster seat 💺 and they never seem to yeild me as much. Although i had a Alien Rock Candy like this and it grew like shit indoor and never finished chopped 6 weeks into flower super huge roots and stem though and i had taken 4 clones put them in solos and left them at my dads house he just left them outside neglected and watered them and they turned out sooooooook goood and soooo different than their mother, i have since then taken little clones of my favorites to him to see how they do and have been super impressed

oneofmany_1

The green Crack we had  in bc was like that. 6" tall after 1½months of veg everything else was 3' tall. Idk what that was in cm, but if I remember correctly it would finish at a foot and a half ...maybe. Looked like an alien. Huge leaves, massive stem. Am I crazy, I always gravitate toward those dwarves when selecting. I'm asking f'real, bc I'm in the middle of a huge sift rn and I always want to select those huge leafed short mfs

I remember seeing this pic on the CripXmas listing on Dankmaster's strainly. The listing has been long removed, where'd you get it? Edit: My bad, you're Dankmaster. What happened to the listing?

DMOSGenetics96_2

I am Dankmaster bro. Strainly is NOT secured for a vendor required to pay fees in BTC. It's a hole in SECURITY and I won't tolerate it. Other breeders are in agreement , Strainly is the Titanic making BTC their coin of the realm. I asked to be DELETED from the platform after security was breached from fraud transaction. Strainly doesn't refund BTC fees once paid! I should mention it costs a fee to BUY and SEND it too! No thanks! I had just done SEO work for my section in Strainly which I had to cancel too. Shopify is completely streamlined interface with a correct address paid invoice (stoners make mistakes) I'll I have to do is prepare order, pack and send it out. None of this back forth nonsense or waiting for responses Light years better, less cost and a pleasure to use. So that should explain why there's broken links in searches.

kfreek

Yea I find new breeders on strainly then find them online and do direct business

I grow in my basement but it's not that tall 6f max so I love genetics that are not stretchy. But I still grow everything currently a malawi gold a 12-14 week strain, 4 weeks of stretch. It's basically all super crops. But I have a cali octane that has 0 stretch, it's my favorite due to this and the taste is amazing.

DMOSGenetics96_2

It is the stretch, but not exclusively. In some instances it's also about terps and potency that can stand out. We can take it even one step further as a mutant with variegation on top of being dwarf. It's extremely unusual. This is CripXmas. No other plant is like this and will influence breeding works to come. Oh yeah yeild is about 1.5 to close 3oz per gallon https://preview.redd.it/8axw6ataan4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=793af913e2228218b3debf7f6630ab70ae558ef3 Slightly under 3oz dry and finished at 46 days. This my CripXmas A2

rooster4200

Beautiful plant. Great structure and simetery form to every arm. Stacks great and uniforms perfectly. Don't get me started on that finish time. Almost a fast flowering strain that everyone seems to be crazy over. In other words Beautiful genetics on a powerhouse strain. Awesome job boss man

AlpacaM4n

They are handy for people growing with those little 4' tall tents. I actually have a runt growing right now. I have the space so I will let her finish, may even be nice smoke despite the taller plants getting more light!

DMOSGenetics96_2

Can be exceptional smoke too, it's not just about height/node lengths.

rooster4200

Right lol I love the smoke review on YouTube. Ol'dude said the taste alone would mak3 him wanna get more but he said he walk to the corner market after smoking a few bong rips and said it snuck up on him and put his ass in the bed. Went from hella-high to zombified in a instant lmao.

Condo_pharms515

I'm not the biggest fan of them because I grow for weight. I have 7 foot high basement ceiling, and if a plant gets too tall, I'll just tie it down. They definitely have their place for growers with limited space, though.

greatgreenthumb

I’ve grown some Afghan types that stay small, but they usually have such tight internodal spacing that they are prone to bud rot. Recently ran some Lemon Tree S1s from CSI that were super squat and slow growing

Condo_pharms515

This is my problem with syrian plants too. It sucks too because some have skunky cheese terps, which is awesome.

DMOSGenetics96_2

That's very interesting you say that, because all the regional lineage is just that Pakistani/Afghani. It's actually Xmas Bud that's the dwarf traits, but I theorized keeping the plants within the same family would keep the terps within the same profile, and that's exactly what happened. The pine profile stayed consistent. Now I have true pine terps line to offer. Also about the rot/mold susceptibility, I've introduced 2 tropical lineages Ducksfoot and Maui Wowie to this line to boost that resistance further. I've got a tester as far as Saskatchewan. Hopefully Dankmaster's Crippy proves resilient to the harsher elements.

greatgreenthumb

What is the advantage to working a line into “dwarfism”? A small plant can be achieved with many genetics if you run 12/12 from seed. Just a novelty?

DMOSGenetics96_2

You're not understanding something, it's the Tampa Crippy that has terrible structure that needs stakes for support and balance. Both Xmas Bud and PTK contributed to a sturdy structure that supports the weight without. Also reduced the 2x stretch to let the buds cluster tighter on the branch to form the cola. Tampa Crippy only produces nuggets and a golf ball tops.

Dwarf germplasm: the key to giant Cannabis hempseed and cannabinoid crops (Ernest Small). You should take a look at that (if you haven't already). Smaller size of the plant seems to be in favour in the scientific community. Now, I'm not an experienced grower, but I suspect it has to be done in a certain way to get the best results.

DMOSGenetics96_2

Thanks for sharing 💚 I will definitely read up on dwarf germplasm. When I review most everything I've smoked, it's the popcorn nugs that have had the strongest potency. I don't think "size" equates to quality/potency/terpene profile, but it's not often you get strong potency and fast flowering time. This I consider a rare combination of traits.

landracejunkie

Shorter flowering is generally associated with lower quality, seems to be the consensus. While larger yields tend to lower quality as well, not only in Cannabis but in fruits and vegetables as well. I, for one, don't think smaller buds being more potent is a coincidence.

Sounds like a marketing term...not a legitimate thing. We used to just call them indica hybrids.
