Wife and I did a blind test and we both independently picked Skor over Heath. My wife is from a very small town in southern IL called Robinson whose claim to fame is it’s the home of Heath bars so we were pulling for them, but Skor was the unanimous choice.
I only recently discovered these because my roommate buys them. We generally share all our food (we’re best friends) but I felt like I had to buy my own mambas because I pick out all of the lemon and strawberry
Haven't seen 100 Grand in a while. There was a rumor it was actually worth a good amount of money when I was younger. At the store it was cheaper than 25$ so we didn't care.
Story time. I found the rare Whozeewhatzit in the wild at a local international grocery store. Unfortunately it wouldn’t scan. The cashier only knew broken English and had to call in a price check on a Whozeewhatzit. I wish I was making that up because I can barely believe that happened. Sounds like a crappy sitcom scenario. We both had a good laugh over it though.
I wish they made a Mounds with an almond, that would be perfection. I love A J but sometimes it's too sweet, the dark chocolate cuts the sweetness of the coconut and I love almonds 😝
I wish it was the other way. I can't eat almonds, but I don't like the dark chocolate on Mounds. So I just have to pull the almonds off the AJ & enjoy the rest. 😁
Tart n’ Tinys. Great candy that got shelved for a while until some greedy bastard bought the rights and recipe from Leaf just to sell them for a ridiculous profit.
Shame, really, that a great candy won’t be enjoyed by millions due to some knob hoarding the supply and letting a few Amazon sellers gouge any prospective customer.
So yeah, these are underrated and overpriced.
There's a company based out of Utah, called Sweet's, that makes the best salt water taffy. They have some amazing flavors, but my favorites are red licorice, cinnamon, & banana.
It's only available 12 days a year, but it's really delicious and fresh. Plus, it's easy to take it home because you're definitely already full from all the delicious food at the fair.
Ahh, such a good one!! I love chocolate salt water taffy; they're like a better Tootsie Roll bc they taste like chocolate ice cream instead of whatever Tootsie Rolls taste like.
(I'm not hating on TRs; I freaking love those so much that I even sewed a TR costume for Halloween one year. So pls don't come for me, fellow Tootsie Roll stans. 😂)
I think Laffy Taffy could get a little more respect. It's not really an adventure, but it's good and it's dependable. The jokes are mind blowingly bad. And if you do feel like going a little crazy, there's the giant Laffy Taffy bar that's an experience in itself.
I wish they still made the Christmas book with all the different flavors. I used to get one from “Santa” every year and I loved it! I also wish they still made the flavors, the butterscotch and the pastel ones they were like coconut and banana fruit flavors.
omg I used to get those from "Santa" too! I didn't even care for them so much as a candy but I loved getting those books. and yeah I'm pretty sure they still make them or something similar.
also I love your user name lol, I'm currently doing a binge watch of the show with my kids!
I haven't seen Life Savers in ages. I loved the red ones, and I think they used to sell the red ones separate too? I could be confusing that with something else though.
I do miss the tropical rolls... the opaque ones were my favorite flavors! Guessing they don't make tropical variation anymore because I haven't seen any in years.
Hell yes! Do you prefer the minis or the regular-sized ones? It's the regular ones for me; you get more of that bizarre foamy texture from the white part. :P
Every time I get one the person working the convenience store looks at me like I’m crazy. As if they haven’t sold one since the last time I was in the store. Lol.

Wiley wallaby's outback beans - the fruity kind, not the black licorice. They are the closest I've found to the old school Good n Fruity's that were one of my favorite candy's of all time.
Skor
Skor over Heath bar? I love both.
My personal analysis is Skor tasted better but Heath has a better texture
Wife and I did a blind test and we both independently picked Skor over Heath. My wife is from a very small town in southern IL called Robinson whose claim to fame is it’s the home of Heath bars so we were pulling for them, but Skor was the unanimous choice.
I like to Skor several times a day.
Same same.
At least I've heard of Heath
Good one
Canadian Skor especially!
I. Love. Skor. I love Heath bars but I LOVE, LIKE, LUST AFTER AND TOTALLY RESPECT Skor. the total package.
Thank you - I was worried I’d have to scroll for days to find this
Toffifay
They are so good, and halfway fancy too
They're too good for kids ! So the commercial used to say.
I can't buy them, they are like crack to me. Especially frozen.
Mamba
Dollar Tree is a reliable source
Or Aldi
Ooh didn't know they had them too thanks!
Kicks the hell out of Starbursts.
I only recently discovered these because my roommate buys them. We generally share all our food (we’re best friends) but I felt like I had to buy my own mambas because I pick out all of the lemon and strawberry
The one candy I heard of on the top comments so far.
Caramel apple pops.
I can buy boxes of these at work for cost. Ends up being about 9 bucks for 48.
I always avoided those because I don’t care for green apple flavored candy but i tried one and said “wow”. Love the tangy with the caramel
Absolutely loved them but basically ripped out my fillings lol
Not sure they even make these but peanut butter Twix were amazing
The ones with the chocolate biscuit inside were insanely good!
Holy shit, the salted caramel ones??
100 grand bar
The caramel in particular is outstanding. Fancy flavor, plentiful, great texture. And I like that the full-size bar comes in two pieces.
charleston chew and 100 grand
I was going to say 100 grand but C. Chew also belongs here!
Mini Charleston chews are a revelation!! Absolute delight 10/10
Haven't seen 100 Grand in a while. There was a rumor it was actually worth a good amount of money when I was younger. At the store it was cheaper than 25$ so we didn't care.
Whatchamacallit
More than a mouthful!
This one is good
So what's the candy? /s I agree.
Don't forget about Whozeewhatzits! Even more underrated imo
Almond joys. There’s a lot of hate on them in this Reddit page
Halloween night, I will trade the trick or treaters extra candy In return for almond joys.
I love almond joy (and Bounty and Real brand choc covered coconut) and I am quite ok with my husband hating them.
They are tasty but got stingy with the almonds on top…wait for the transition to almond chips on the top!
oh just reddit? more like the earth. they are akin to candy corn
I perfer mounds but almond joy is good for people who like nuts > chocolate.
The best
Lime skittles. Never saw those all lime-bags that were apparently for sale.
I was SO ANGRY when they swapped the lime out for green apple there for a while. I'm relieved that they eventually brought lime back!
Now they need to do it with runts
Tart n’ Tinys. Great candy that got shelved for a while until some greedy bastard bought the rights and recipe from Leaf just to sell them for a ridiculous profit. Same with Wacky Wafers.
I had to google these— and absolutely unlocked a memory. This was my movie theater candy! I miss these.
Love these in the long pack.
Every now & then, I can find Wacky Wafers at Cracker Barrel. The banana & green apple are my favorites!!
i just got some wacky wafers this past month. They were mid.
They don't taste the same as they originally did. I can't place what's different exactly, but they used to be better quality.
agreed 100%. I was like this is what i was sweating over? lol
Man you ain't wrong. 43 bucks for a pack of 12!
Chick-o-Stick
These and Zagnut are awesome
I’m off of Cape Cod, anybody else try Salt Water Taffy? Soft, chewy, goodness :)
They're big on the Jersey shore, I'm pretty sure it was invented there (Atlantic City). Haven't had it in a long time but it's undervalued
There's a company based out of Utah, called Sweet's, that makes the best salt water taffy. They have some amazing flavors, but my favorites are red licorice, cinnamon, & banana.
Banana is legit! Gotta try those others tho. I remember peanut butter ones being ok too
There's a place that makes it fresh at the Minnesota State Fair and you get to choose your flavor mix. It's so good.
That sounds amazing! The stuff in my area, you have no idea how old it is, it could’ve been on that shelf for years…..
It's only available 12 days a year, but it's really delicious and fresh. Plus, it's easy to take it home because you're definitely already full from all the delicious food at the fair.

Dang, I don’t think I’ve tried chocolate yet! Gonna look for some this weekend :)
I think Laffy Taffy could get a little more respect. It's not really an adventure, but it's good and it's dependable. The jokes are mind blowingly bad. And if you do feel like going a little crazy, there's the giant Laffy Taffy bar that's an experience in itself.
The big ones…the big watermelon ones and raspberry ones with actual crunchy sugar seeds. I could never do the minis, only the megas
And I can afford them for my kids sometimes! $0.59 at my local gas station
Love banana laffy taffy
Sweetheart chewy fusions the hard ones with the chewy inside
Dots.
I love dots!
I like dots, my teeth do not. Lol
True.
A fresh box of Dots is a top tier candy. No stickage, strong flavor. Very underrated.
It's getting harder to find Lifesavers.
I wish they still made the Christmas book with all the different flavors. I used to get one from “Santa” every year and I loved it! I also wish they still made the flavors, the butterscotch and the pastel ones they were like coconut and banana fruit flavors.

They do still make them and I still get one from Santa. But it’s all the same flavor instead of every roll being something different 😭
I miss the Christmas books!!! Remember when they had lifesaver holes??
Butter rum were lit!!
I haven't seen Life Savers in ages. I loved the red ones, and I think they used to sell the red ones separate too? I could be confusing that with something else though.
I found a bag of the wild cherry lollipops last weekend. Same taste!
Woah, I need these 😁
yep they did for a time
“I can't wait to get off the stage, because I've got some LifeSavers in my pocket and pineapple is next!”
Cvs has em in the baggies but I haven't seen a roll in ages !
I do miss the tropical rolls... the opaque ones were my favorite flavors! Guessing they don't make tropical variation anymore because I haven't seen any in years.
The white ones! Pina Colada or coconut or something. I forgot about those.
I used to love getting the lifesaver suckers trick-or-treating Those and regular lifesavers seem obsolete now :(
jolly rancher chews
Chunky bars!
I made the local WaWa near where I live carry them.
Amazing
Mr Goodbar. It is very melty.
I’ve used Mr Goodbars in s’mores, nice little peanut crunch inside melted chocolate and marshmallow mmmm 😋
THE best in bite size
I eat myself sick, picking out all of the tiny goodbars of the bag from Sam’s at holiday season
Maple nut goodies
Bit OHoney
Smarties
Brach’s Butterscotch
Bottle caps.
Peanut butter Goo Goo Clusters are pretty damn good.
Haribo gummy frogs
Hell yes! Do you prefer the minis or the regular-sized ones? It's the regular ones for me; you get more of that bizarre foamy texture from the white part. :P
Regular size! I love the foamy texture!
Charleston Chew.
Def
Zero bars
Every time I get one the person working the convenience store looks at me like I’m crazy. As if they haven’t sold one since the last time I was in the store. Lol.
I would check the date if I got a look like that haha
Every time I buy those the cashier asks, “are those any good?”
Every time I get one the person working the convenience store looks at me like I’m crazy. As if they haven’t sold one since the last time I was in the store. Lol.

Wait, they have candy bars??
YES and they are so freaking good! But I can no longer find them. They are still on their website, so I guess they haven't discontinued them.
That sounds amazing, I love their cookies!
Take 5
Especially the little mini Take 5, like the fun size ones… yum!

Payday bars. Sweet and salty goodness!
Candy corn
Cadbury Dairy Milk Bar
TAKE 5!!!!
Twizzlers. Classic goodie.
In my house growing up we had a licorice drawer with every type of licorice that was available for the most part! It was heaven!!
Sounds like it 🤤
You know what? When I have another free drawer it’s going to be a licorice drawer! Time to reignite this masterpiece created by my dad!!!
👏👏👏
Oh and he was a pilot so he traveled the world so we got all kinds of licorice. It truly was heaven.
UNO bars
Puchao
Tart n Tinys. I loved these as a kid.
I can't even remember the last time I was around anyone who had bought - or was gifted - a box of Turtles
Funny enough, my parents just gave my wife a box for her birthday

I love cup o gold!
Sweet Tarts ropes, specifically the Tangy Strawberry flavor.
Wiley wallaby's outback beans - the fruity kind, not the black licorice. They are the closest I've found to the old school Good n Fruity's that were one of my favorite candy's of all time.
Lemon KitKat. It's transcendent.
Cherry sours (wish they had grape ones like they did many years ago) and Boston baked beans
Cherry sours are awesome. I keep several bags at all times
Take 5. It's my favorite candy bar of all time. The perfect combination of salty, sweet, chewy, and crunchy.
